Apparently since their money reader doesn’t work they won’t sell you anything if you’re paying with $100 bills. Apparently the employees don’t know how to look with their own eyes to check if bills are real or not. Then to be rude about it? Mention they’re “freshly printed”, making the accusation that it’s fake money? Trash employees!

Someone kept a pre-order bonus that I was supposed to receive with a game and customer service keeps acting like it's my fault. Don't pre-order anything from here if you don't want your special bonuses stolen

If you have an issue with your transaction DO NOT ask the employees for help, go straight to the manager. My trade credit card wasn’t working for an online purchase and I was confused about the rewards program, so my boyfriend called the store for help. The employee, Isaac, immediately said it wasn’t his transaction so it wasn’t his fault. My bf said we don’t blame him, but want this fixed. He would not let my bf finish a sentence, and when we said we’ll just come in to talk to the manager and get this figured out, Isaac said ‘is that a threat?’. My bf repeatedly said no, but Isaac continued yelling and saying we were harassing him.We went to the second location in town to get help in person and were met with another employee who said he couldn’t help us and that he was expecting a ‘hostile customer’ who was coming to ‘roll up on’ and ‘fight’ them because that’s what Isaac had called ahead and told him..It was so inappropriate and frustrating. I just wanted to buy a digital game with my credit !I came back an hour later when the manager was there and she easily explained the issue and fixed it within 10 minutes. She apologized for how the employees acted and was super helpful. 6 hours later from when I first tried to buy the game I finally have it.I will definitely avoid going to the Yuba City locations again. It was the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I’m still confused why the first employee blew everything out of proportion when the issue wasn’t even about him, we were just trying to ask him for help. I wish I had bought the game full price somewhere else rather than getting trade credit here.

I been coming here all the time for my gaming purchases. From big money items consoles to games and funko pops. Now they lost me as a customer. I buy something of high dollar item. I can't return it as open. Ok, but I can't even trade it in either. From the VR to headset to the high dollar $200 controller. No point on wasting money if gamestop not going have anything to do we these products once you leave the store. I'll buy my stuff online from now on.

I bought a ps5 bundle in November from this place, got the warranty for the controllers, couple weeks ago my controller got stick drift, I went in, they said they found no record of my warranty, then somehow said my warranty was used by someone else, then gave me a story about how the guy who sold it to me was fired and used to be the manager but did wrong things such as this. then told me to leave my name and number cause they were going to call corporate, it's been weeks and iv heard nothing, so basically I got screwed, this place will take your money and screw you, please do not go to this location, and people wonder why game stop is dying and everyone prefers to purchase things online, so pathetic.

Bought a “new” copy of Resident evil Origins. But the employee (didn’t know he was the manager at the time) he busts out with the display copy and goes and grabs the game and DLC card and puts it all together without asking me if it was okay.. I paused for a second and asked him if he had any sealed copies.. he said it was his last copy and assured me it was new despite the case being a bit banged up… I reluctantly agreed to buy it despite my red flags going off in my head but I felt a bit pressured at that point since it was on sale (for a new copy).I go home and the game sat on my shelf for about a week since I wasn’t sure if I wanted to keep it, so I purchased the same game factory sealed from their website. When my factory sealed copy came in the mail i went back to the store to return the display copy and they wouldnt accept the return. Big argument broke out since they failed to disclose to me that display copies are a “Sale is Final” purchase and non refundable. They kept telling me they only return “New” games, and I told them it is new and in the same condition they sold it to me. This was from the manager believe it or not. He said to me they don’t know if it’s used or not, I told them the same goes for me from my perspective, that I don’t know if the game was actually new when I bought it. Never buying from this gamestop again.

Zach and Yazmin are extremely unprofessional. Bought a game for my child and asked if it doesn't work what the return policy was. Yazmin said 30 day to return and we checked out. Got home and game didn't work. They offered no refunds or store credit to exchange. I called zach and he HUNG up on me. Will be contacting HR. Unprofessional and scammers.

"Guy" was the employee who helped me out. I've been looking for a good ww1 or ww2 game that has a deep story/campaign mode. I wanted one similar to the old Medal of Honor games on the ps2. He immediately recommended battlefield along with a few other games. They didn't have it in stock but he referred me to another local game stop in the mall that had it. Playing through the game now and it rules! Thank you Guy for the great recommendation!

This is the only GameStop where a person couldn't tell the difference between a PS4 and a PS5 version of the game. I preordered and fully paid for a King of Fighters Omega edition for the PS5 and Reid gave it to a customer who ordered a PS4 version of the game. Reid didn't even look at the box from what he's telling me. He just gave my copy. He didn't call me that he messed up and before I arrived there at 8:30 PM. To add insult to injury, he offered a 10% discount for a game I already paid for and I get the game some other day. It cost more to drive there a second time to pick up the same game he totally messed up on. But he's putting the blame on the company for supposedly only getting one copy of the game. I don't believe him as the game is highly anticipated and is advertised in their store. He's just spouting out excuses. I sense a lot of carelessness, and mostly incompetence from this fellow. I'd understand if a person messed up on a PS4/PS5 version of the game if they're colorblind and can't read. But as a GameStop employee, that's unacceptable.

Really irritated with this location right now. I bought my husband a PS5 and headset and also bought the warranty with them. In December months before the warranty expired I came in to exchange both items. The PS5 we exchange rather quickly but the headset didn’t come in until the last week of February. I got the call it finally had arrived the gentleman told me my name would be on time and I could come in anytime. A few days later I went in to do the exchange and they sold the headset to someone else even though it was marked as a warranty exchange. Justin informed me that I only had 48 hours to do the exchange after waiting months for it to come it, I was not told this over the phone when they called. Then I was informed my warranty was now expired, which I was told in December it wouldn’t be a problem because it’s marked down that it was in backorder for months. Completely shocked with the customer service and lack of communication between the staff. I spend thousands of dollars at this location between my kids switches and my husbands PS5, for them to sell something I’ve been waiting months on I’m speechless.
