this place is wonderful. i used to go here pretty frequently in highschool when i still kind of sucked at mtg.
the staff are very kind and helped me to get better at the game. i didn't have many friends in school so it was nice to have a little community here who were friendly, kind, and wanted to make sure everyone had a good time. loved the environment at various events here. prereleases were super fun, same with draft nights, and standard. they sold singles at an extremely fair price too.
i don't know if they're still around but if they are and i'm ever back in town i will definitely go visit again.

The staff is both knowledgeable and friendly! We came in with a relatively specific board game desire in mind and were given fantastic recommendations. They even gave us a trial run with the game and taught us how to play it. Great stuff.

If I could leave no stars, I would. This place smells like rats and is really unorganized. Clerk began to shout at me because I didnt want to buy some old comic books that are no more the $3 a piece for 5 to 10 dollars. He got mad because he wanted to search every comic book one by one and I didnt not agree with the price nor wanted to wait for him to come to the conclusionthat every book I chose was about $1.50. So unorganized and unsanitary he didnt even have prices for the books on the floor. Told me to ingnore the 2 dollar stickers and he'll give me a good price. After I picked about 25 books figured they be 2-3 dollars. He took about 45 min to get bogus prices from ebay(waste of my time) to try to charge me 5- to 10 bucks per book that are not even close to mint and no more than 3 bucks on its best day... I dont recommend this place. They dont even have much of anything. Prices are eye gouging. You have better chance buying on ebay.

Not a bad collectors shop. I have been in this store a few times. Wishing they had graded cards for sale. Raw cards are nice, but unless the Protective top loader is unscratched, its hard to tell what cards are NM,LP, or HP. otherwise an alright place.

Overall, the shop is pretty nice. Quaint and a little homey feel to it. However, it does feel pretty scattered and cluttered especially with the play area lined with various old arcade set ups. It's an interesting aesthetic to have, but feels more like a storage area that had things pushed to the side. Another drawback seems to be events. While the shop seems to hold its events for basic tournaments or product drops, it seems to never be listed as a location for promotional events. Thus, I instead have to go down to Sac for any of those instead.

Its a really cool place, especially if you play D&D they sell tons of cool dice sets and books along with lots of other board games.

This would be the third opportunity we have given this business. Selection is definitely blah....but my complaint it with the employee or owner...very rude....not attentive.... Hours say he is open when we call he's closed but we can physically see people sitting inside. To bad they lost our business.....

Staff is rude and the selection is poor. Go to A-1 in Roseville or Big Brother in Sacramento if you want to find a good selection of product and good people to play against.
