We will never stay at a Best Western again. We made reservations last year so that we could stay there for a week so that we could visit family. We booked the room over 9 months ahead of time and we paid in full when we did this. We checked in and they wanted a credit card number in case anything happened while we were staying there. A few days later after we got back home we looked online to see if anything was charged to our card and we couldn't believe that they charged us almost $1,100 dollars extra and we had no idea why. We called them to find out what these charges were for and they said that when we checked in we asked for an upgraded room so they charged us extra money for it. We have stayed at this Inn at least 7 or 8 times over the last 6 or 7 years and we stayed in the same type of room every-time and yet we were never charged anything extra before. Talking with the manager about this issue (when you could get her on the phone) was useless as she has no communication skills at all and she refuses to take the charges off of our card. She also will not give us a receipt on what the charges are because she doesn't have too. We talked with Best Western management about this issue and they said that they needed a receipt before they could help us. It looks like both of them are working together so that they can screw people over because if they are going to charge extra money to your credit card they can at least give you a copy of the receipt showing you what the charges are. The only thing we can do is get a lawyer to fight this which we found out will cost us over $1,000 dollars or we can just post this issue on our social media accounts letting all of our family and friends know that it's not a good idea to stay at a Best Western anywhere in the United States.

Super nice staff, we got stuck with the pass closure, was great to sleep in a comfy bed and have a nice hot shower. Rooms are clean we were on the first floor but not a lot of noise thankfully great stay for the night and can't beat the price too!

So our check-in process was fairly seamless. There was a new guy learning the processes of the office last night. He was fairly nice the young lady assisting him. She could've been a little bit more nicer to him as she was kind of putting him on the spot, making remarks regarding him being newer. This location does have free continental breakfast. They have over 130 rooms pretty large location. When I walked in To get breakfast I felt a little opinionated against by the lady who was the working the front desk and another lady who I think assisted with the breakfast.(No good morning) just asked my room number and what time was I checking out.The location is for sure outdated with some newer paint. Pet deposit was $15 non returnable Because we were tired from our long drive before getting into Oregon, this was the stop that we chose as members, to stay at. During a bath the hot water quickly turned lukewarm to cooler. The Body wash container in the shower was completely empty, and it's a large squeeze bottle on the wall. For our personal prefer I don't see us staying here again. For others I will let them make that choice but not a recommendation from me and my family. Not as friendly of a location as we are used to during our travels.

Beware....... Even desperate for sleep beware. Was put in a room so dirty it had every surface with dirt . Dishes in the sink and even mops. How can u say some party probably happened there. I was moved to the room next door room. The bathroom door at the back had vomit on it. The smell of vomit in the bathroom was disgusting. I did not shower. I left paying $165 with a $10 discount for sleeping in a second dirty room. It's for miners only. Got to report them to a health department.

I chose the Miner's Inn due to its proximity of a job I'll be doing for the next three months. I had no idea what to expect, and the website promoted clean and exceptional service. Although my bed, shower, and toilet were clean the first night. In a weeks' stay, my room was never touched even though I requested from the GM and I put a door hanger on the outside of the door requesting to service the room. That was disappointing. This motel suffers from lipstick on a pig. Meaning yes it's been slightly "updated" but only with paint and lamps. Many electrical things did not work in my room including a broken TV remote. I accidentally clogged the toilet one morning. Spoke to the counter person that morning only to find out that evening it was not unclogged. Ice machine was a hike, and the one closest to me did not work. Breakfast items need refilled constantly; that never happened. It's very obvious that the owner of the motel doesn't want to invest money into it to make it what it should be. The owner has an opportunity to make it great but will require significant investment, but that's business. I can get along with basic stuff but even the most basic stuff in the room was inoperable with no customer service. Unless they make me a screaming deal. I'm going to choose somewhere else for the next three months of my job to take my money.

Don't let the 1 star rating fool you - this place was nicer than many rooms twice the price. Great pillows, full size shower body wash shampoo and conditioner, free toiletries... Nice firm thick pillows, good shower and great breakfast.

Could've had the room ready on time. If you're going to stay someplace along I-5. It's good. I was most excited about the continental breakfast.

I'm giving these folks five stars because they're experts at milking cows. And they really know who the cows are. I wanted to make a reservation with them and all of the online sites had the rate at about $93/night. When I called though they told me the rate was $97/night. So I figured I wait until it was closer to the time I was going to travel. As I waited the rate kept going up and up and up, to the point where it was about $110/night. And then I figured, the hell with them I'll find another place. Yreka is about 35 to 40 miles from Ashland, Oregon and I found a hotel, at least equally as good for the same night in Ashland for at least $20 less (more if you include the lack of taxes) and only $3 more than the price they first quoted. And Ashland is a nicer town with more amenities than Yreka. In addition, gasoline is cheaper in Ashland (or nearby) if you need to fill up (I did). I was traveling well over 300 miles that day and the extra 40 to 45 minutes from Ashland versus Yreka wasn't much of a big deal. But particularly because when I called them they were insistent on charging me more than the online rate I stayed in an equally nice place and in a nicer town. So these folks can continue to milk the ignorant cows without really knowing who their competition is. I might have dropped off some sand so they can pound on it, but I was passing through and really didn't want to stop. Mooo.

The room was really spacious and clean. Our check-in was fine and it was our 2nd stay within 5 weeks. Definitely loved the outside pool to cool off after a long day of driving. The breakfast on the next morning was disappointing. Everything was empty: eggs, bacon, coffee and took a good 10 min to be refilled. Several guests before us were carrying out 2-3 boxes each which might explain why others now had to wait so long. Guests were piling up in no order and once refills came there was a bit of a storm on the food. Meanwhile I noticed how messy the food area was.Like in other Best Western properties on our trip one person seemed to have to do it all: front desk, food refills, coffee refills, cleaning.... Certainly we didn't blame this person for such disorganized experience.Thankfully, breakfast was just a small portion of our overall experience. The rooms were clean, the towels very soft and the balcony was a great surprise too.One small side note: check the flushing handle in #212, it is very loose and flimsy. All equipment worked well. The room came with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer and iron. The room also had ample seating inside and outside.

Nice big rooms, soft beds, and quiet rooms. The pool looked inviting, but we were too tired to try it. Breakfast was good to start our next day of travel.

Had to stop by for an emergency bathroom break for my toddler. Staff was super understanding. Bathroom was clean. Would consider booking here next time I’m in town.

I’m normally super easy going on service industry people - it’s hard to deal with the public at large. But this place is the pits. They are massively understaffed, and thus not at all functional and bitter about it. Our pre-paid room was not ready at 10 PM (pm!), and we - along with many others - were told to wait. I made a snide comment to a fellow patron (“this seems to be their m.o.”) and the lady at the desk (Candace) told me I was not to be served. So we went to a different hotel.Just really unacceptable from a best western, whom I thought had higher standards in service. We stayed at a perfectly fine place up the street. Why risk it with this particular best western? It’s not like it the place is anything super special.

I've been sent to stay at this location multiple times this past year for an overnight business trip and it does the job. It's definitely a pretty dated hotel, you can see they've done multiple paint jobs. The rooms were definitely cleaned and heavily scented with some kind of air freshner.I've noticed that no two rooms were ever quite the same. One room would have nicer carpet, cleaner bathroom and tub, but another would have carpet that would make my feet turn kind of gray and have a tub that's kind of stained. One of my coworkers found old soap in her bathroom too. This time my bathroom was relatively clean, but the shampoo/body wash bottles were empty which didn't really bother me since I'm personally not a fan of the La Coupe brand anyway and I usually bring my own shampoo and conditioner. But it should still be regularly checked to stay consistent. The breakfast foods were fine, it had your usual spread of eggs, breakfast meats, biscuits and gravy, toast, yogurt, cereal, and coffee. It needs to be cleaned a bit more often though, the tables and floors felt a bit sticky. They also offered complimentary muffins at the front desk along with popcorn which was really nice, but again it should be cleaned more often. You can tell there was finger prints on the muffin case and the sticky oil build up on the popcorn machine. They also had a water dispenser but the dispenser tabs looked pretty gray and my coworker commented that it tasted like old plastic. I feel like I'm being nitpicky, but after being a former front desk agent at The Hyatt, the front desk is where first impressions are made so more care should be put into appearances. The hotel overall was just okay. The bed was comfy and plenty of pillows were provided so I did enjoy that. It did the job as just a place to rest.

The rooms are nice and quiet. Management is professional and nice. Dog friendly.
