We enjoyed poking our heads through this art gallery in downtown Napa! While most was out of our price range, we specifically enjoyed the stunning art that reflected our surroundings on the trip: Napa Valley vineyard landscapes, wine bottles, creative food and drink perspectives, and textured rural scenes. We didn't walk away with any purchase, but are grateful to have local art to peruse while exploring downtown Napa.

New location in downtown Napa is sleek and full of art! Met owners at Grand opening, kind, passionate people. Located in front of Kitchen Door and Compline restaurants just next to a parking garage. Wheel chair accessible, handicap parking nearby, restrooms next door down the hall are also accessible. Great addition to downtown Napa. Eclectic art and some sculpture. Price range $35- almost 6 digits.

The perfect art to pair with mirrored ceilings. Nice attention paid to those the manager has corralled from the sidewalk.

I have the pleasure of adding radiant pieces of fine art to the walls several days per week. After I light them aglow to bring out the lively details for you, I'm thankful to provide the public with such fabulous, appealing and distinctive works.

Received our print of Up For Discussion today by Eric Christensen today and absolutely love it! Visited Gallery 1870 a couple times before deciding to make a purchase and so glad we did! They are so easy to work with and painting arrived beautifully framed and in perfect condition. Looking forward to collecting more Eric Christensen pieces in the future!

Gallery 1870 shows why Santa Fe's Canyon Road is a place for art rather than the Napa Valley. The desert brings out the artist in people (think Georgia O'Keeffe), while this place has Thomas Kinkade-like kitsch. This gallery forbids photography, but you're not missing anything. There are campy depictions of Native Americans, landscapes that recall the "Painter of Light",an occasional quality piece (like a portrait of the Bard, William Shakespeare) It's a small gallery, everything is overpriced. And for Christmas in July, here's the Thomas Kinkade biopic trailer- It's not so much like Lawrence of Arabia saying that the desert is clean, but the paintings here have a kitsch "cleanliness",as in idealized and sappy.

After visiting the gallery while there in October we purchased the exact painting pictured in the postcard and could not believe it was water color. We loved Eric Christiansen's artwork so much that we look forward to future pieces by him. The sales manager at the gallery was so wonderful to deal with and even gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant in the area to eat.

Love stopping by here after some delicious treats at Bouchon. The gallery actually occupies two shops, across the hall from each other. My wife and I really enjoy the vibrant, whimsical paintings in the room with the lighter colored walls.
