For what it is, it actually isn't bad. It's a quick eats place in the middle of a national park that is pretty far away from any type of meat of vegetable supplies. The prices aren't overly gougey and the food is not horrible

Be ready to wait. For some reason they rely on kiosks for orders but there's no menu. Just point and order but there's no way to know what the sauce is or whether you want it on the side. It's all fried so not sure why it took 30 minutes to get 2 chicken sandwiches and 2 tender meals. Management should wander in undercover and see how badly the line is running. An OK spot if you're in a pinch but far better service and food farther up the valley at the welcome center. The location is the only saving grace.Suggestions: Post a menu or have a QR code. Also, ditch the kiosks, it slows everything down even more.

The falafel salad was small but after a long hike, everything I wished for and delivered on flavor!

Had a pizza, not bad, nothing special, decent portion size, ate it all up! Was hesitant to try this place at all after really bad experience years ago. This redeemed Base Camp as a viable option.

This is the lodge’s cafeteria. The food is not great (dry burger, odd teriyaki, etc.), but they allow outside food so it’s a great place to picnic indoors in the winter. They have hot water; saw lots of folks making ramen, good idea. Starbucks within is good for coffee fix.

Small portions of fast food. I did not like the fries, they were not crispy. Better eat outside of the park or bring your own food if the weather is good.

You may disagree with me, but you gotta' think about where you are and what your choices are and then decide to see the brighter side of things. Sure, this isn't fine dining. But it is consistent. We ate here for a breakfast, a lunch, and 2 dinners. The menu is not extensive. But the burgers are consistent and get you full. The chicken gyro was good, just needed more tzatziki on the side. The fries were great! The breakfast burrito was pretty good, just add some salsa from the communal area (haven't seen this much sharing since before covid!), the pancakes were actually quite yummy! And the basic breakfast was consistent and tasted exactly as it should! No pics of gyro or butgers - you know what they look like lol. We never waited more than 15 minutes, and this was with the line to the door. I don't know how they kept up with all of the guests, but they did - and the guests for the most part cleared out when they were done eating so that people getting their food would have a place to sit down. (It was too cold and rainy to eat outside.) Yes, basically it is a cafeteria, so you can't expect a Michelin star. But between the consistency, the efficiency, and the humor of some of the employees, a great option when staying at the lodge!

Not the best food, but something available within the park. Close to picnic area. Plan wisely before visiting the park or else got to eat what’s here..

Warning, be very careful if you order the chicken here! Ordered the chicken tenders for our son on 2/22/2024 and one was still raw! So glad I tore it into smaller pieces to give to him, so I noticed before he ate it. Overall, very disappointed by this place. Selection is very limited. I ordered BLT and it was terrible. I generally like crispy bacon, but the bacon was so crispy it was like a rock. A BLT from Nations hamburgers is better, and that is a low standard. Fries are extremely salty. I never write reviews, but just really wanted to warn about the chicken.

It is hard to imagine how the food and 'service' could be worse here. Starting with the kiosk where you order, everything was poorly done. The items on the screen are not actually what is on order. The choices are very limited, and the food was bad. A simple cheeseburger was so overcooked and dried out, it had to be returned and a new one ordered. The fries went straight into the trash. And we observed others throwing their cold, stale, tasteless fries in also. My black bean burger was tasty, and the Cole slaw was outstanding, with pieces of kale added in. That was literally the extent of positive feedback we could provide.

My recent visit to Base Camp Eatery at The Lodge at Yosemite Falls left much to be desired. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by several factors that significantly impacted the overall dining experience. One of the main disappointments was the realization that none of the food served at Base Camp Eatery is prepared on-site. Instead, it all comes pre-made and is simply transferred from bins to plates or to-go containers by the restaurant staff. This approach resulted in a lack of freshness and a taste reminiscent of a convenience store. Ordering from a kiosk and bussing my own table added to the impersonal atmosphere. The limited interaction with employees was marked by an apparent disinterest, and they seemed genuinely annoyed when approached with questions. This lack of engagement contributed to an overall sense of indifference from the staff. Moreover, the prices at Base Camp Eatery do not align with the quality of the food and service provided. Patrons should be prepared to pay top dollar for what essentially amounts to low-quality, pre-packaged meals. Unfortunately, the lack of alternative dining options in the park, all operated by the same company, leaves visitors with little choice but to settle for this subpar experience. While Base Camp Eatery may be a necessity for those seeking breakfast or lunch within Yosemite Valley, it's advisable to keep expectations low. The combination of low-quality food, poor service, and inflated prices makes it a less-than-ideal dining destination. Hopefully, improvements can be made to enhance the overall dining experience for visitors in the future.

Not much special about this eatery other than it's located in Yosemite Valley and there isn't many other options. Ordering was easy on the kiosks and our sandwiches were ready quickly. Just average food at average prices. Not the most variety of food, but good enough to satisfy your hunger.
