December 2023 by TERRI CARBAJAL
I had rescued my husky from Animal Control and because of the trauma she experienced prior to being rescued by OC Animal Control she did not bark and was not eating much however, a few months later after adopting her, she started to bark and ate well. Our family had planned a trip out of town for 1 week therefore, we called ahead of time to make a reservation and make sure she had a big enough kennel and I was assured she would get the one that she is able to go outside during the day then, the have her indoors at night and I was charged extra for that. I returned a week later and to my surprise my beautiful husky would not stop crying and was unable to bark but the worse was they brought her out in a tiny cage where it would be impossible for any dog to be in for that long period of time. This facility was abusive towards my beautiful husky and dishonest with me, I do not recommend this terrible hell hole.

I tried Vinjon's this past holiday week and was very disappointed in the care that my 13 year old Labrador received. I will never go back again. My dog has knee problems which I told them on check in and for them to check on her frequently. They told me upon checking her out after the week was up that many times it took her 10 minutes or so to get up and they just left her struggling as they thought that was better for her. They do not let you bring any bedding in for your dog so she was mainly on tile and concrete with maybe a towel if they felt she needed it. She had BLOODY sores on the elbows , feet and knees on ALL FOUR legs!!! She was bathed before I picked her up and she looked wet and dirty with clumps of hair dangling off of her. I asked them to brush her before taking her and again they said she couldn't stand well so they didn't brush her fully or trim her nails!! She smelled really bad for just having a bath, like they had left her in a wet dirty puddle because they didn't want to take the time to move her. I went home and had to spray her with dog cologne to even stand to be near her!! She was also super thirsty when she got home so makes me wonder how long she was without water. I will never take my dog there again!!

DO NOT EVEN STEP A FOOT HERE!!!!!! run well you can, this place is horrible i recently was inquiring about boarding, my dog here but my oh my, this place is disgusting and disrespectful the so called mangers are high out of their mind and can't even walk straight. As I took a tour to the back of the building I couldn't help but notice all of the rat poop that was in the kennels WHERE THEY ARE BOARDING THE DOGS! And the employee bathroom is just as bad as the dirty kennels. The smell from the kennels and bathroom reek, just by being their I feel like I got sick imagine how your dog would feel. would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The location itself is easy to pass on the street if you're not on the lookout for it.Originally, we started taking our Boston Terrier here, but it wasn't a fit for him. The staff did great with his anxiety and trying to keep him calm, but ultimately, a 15 y/o dog just wants to be somewhere familiar while his humans are gone. Our pit mix, on the other hand- hates to even leave this place.During the pandemic, it was a little less staffed, and I did run into minor issues. However, post covid, and since Andy has been in charge, it has been amazing.Cabo enjoys going there while we're on vacation, and we never have to worry about if he's being well taken care of. They've implemented these little report cards that are super cute and let you know how your baby did while you were away. This past week we had a pipe burst in our house and the first place I called was Vinjons because I knew that I could take care of whatever needed to be taken care of and they would take great care of our big boy.I am very glad to have found such a trustworthy place.

Love this place so much!! I've been coming here for over 10 years to get my cat flea medicine and they never let me down! Everyone working here is super helpful, so if you have any questions before coming in you can always call and they can help you out over the phone!

Took my pup twice and after his last visit he has been very clingy, flinches at somewhat loud noises and if I reach for him, he shied away the first couple of days after his stay...which was for only 3 hours! The staff do not come across as "trained". When I picked up my pup, his heart was pounding and he had high anxiety. I asked what happened and if anything went wrong. The gal replied they had over 70 dogs and the facility is under construction, so loud noises. I feel so terrible that I left him for even the 3 hours. I cannot recommend this establishment.

This was my dog's second stay here and what a difference it was from the first. The first time he stayed here was back in July. He had run out of time at the shelter and they wouldn't hold him for me until I got back from the trip I was leaving on the next day. I adopted him anyway and prayed I could find a place last min to board him. Vinjons was able to do it and were very helpful and kind this visit. They listened and made me feel comfortable leaving him. They sent me photo's everyday as I requested and answered all my questions and were very patient with me. I was really happy with them during that visit and that is why i gave them 2 stars instead of 1. Now let's flash forward to this visit. The staff was nice but I felt extremely rushed and like they were not really listening - busy or not leaving my dog in your care is a big deal and I want to make sure things get done right. I had requested photos again this time and had made 6 special kong treats to give to my pup each night so he would feel a little bit of comfort while I was away. ( I had called ahead before I came to make sure they would be able to give him one each night and they said yes) While away for my 6 days I did not receive one photo, which I can get past as it's a holiday weekend and they are busy. What I can't get passed is out of the 6 frozen stuffed Kongs I made him (one for every night per my request). Only 2 were given. The other 4 were perfectly intact. I called everyday to ask how he was doing and ask if they were giving him his kongs/eating and they said yes every time. However upon getting home just now I saw they had obviously not. I was lied to which I don't appreciate. I will not be coming back. I would take my tip back as well if I could knowing they did not do what I requested. What if this had been medication? They have lost my trust completely. I paid over $30 a day for 2 plays times sessions as well - now I am wondering if he even got those. I normally do not leave reviews but I felt other pet owners needed to be aware of what they are getting incase they are considering staying here.

Do not take your dog here. Within just this past year there has been several dog deaths and repeated infections. The only way there could be repeated infections is that they don't use disinfectants when "cleaning" even when a dog is sick. So your dog might be going into a freshly infected kennel right after you drop them off. The facility has NO ac and has not had any AC within the past 3-4 years. It's also incredibly dirty which is probably why they insist on charging you a bath after you board to get more money for their mistakes. If your dog is heat sensitive, they have a high chance of dying here because you have a bunch of dogs panting in a little room, it's gonna raise the temperature and because they can't go back outside, your dog might over heat. If you decide to tour, ask when the last time renovations have been done, most likely not since the place was built. The owner of the business sees the dogs as dollar signs rather than actual living beings and is hardly ever on the premise apparently. Your dog gets locked up at the end of the night and if they potty in their little bedroom, they're gonna stay in it for another 10 hours until morning staff is able to get to them which seems to be the common review of urine and fecal burns on their dogs. The manager does not care about the dogs at all, all he cares about is money too. My dog luckily did not board there after I toured and read all the other reviews, I hope you find another place instead too because this is where you take your dog to die.

I bright my dog in with no intent on leaving a review but the manager here is disrespectful to her employees and others rather being on the phone or in person the customer service was better at Walmart.

We have a small foster based rescue. We have been using this Boarding facility for months . One of our dogs had some vomiting one of the men that works there took the dog to a vet they work with . Short story I did not feel comfortable with the Vetinarian they took the dog to for care. The Vetinarians office called to say we were rude to them. So the Manager female calls us today and explains how we are not to disrespect the Vetinarians office they work with . First I am paying the Vetinarian Bill not her . I nicely asked her for the owner of this boarding facilitys number or for them to call me . The manager was telling me she had vet tech experience and going over the whole story to me . I have been a Nurse for 40 years my husband a Dr for over 55 years ..I told her I was not going to listen to a vet tech tell me I needed to respect the vet they work with Or go over the whole symtoms of the dog and what this vet wanted me to do . I asked the vet for his assessment of the dogs . His Lung and Bowel sounds to help me understand why he was suggesting his plan of care . This female manager proceeded to tell me I was yelling at her which I wasnt she was yelling at me after I asked to speak to the owner of boarding facility and while she was yelling at me I was just saying I am not going to disrespected by a Vetinarian or a manager . I was paying the bills . She proceeded to tell me she would not take in any of iur dogs and wanted the 3 in there out !!!!!! Then hung up on me . I waited for a call from the owner today and no call . This is the way you are treated as a customer who pays the bill and also this facilities are more then most .
