Amazing service! The owner Gorje and the kind lady at the front of the desk Marsha are both so amazing! I came in with a prescription that wasn't faxed over properly, they both were so kind and patient & genuine! Definitely will be coming back!

I've been a customer of Med Specialties for over 10 years. They are an excellent compounding pharmacy. The staff is friendly (shout out especially to Marcia who runs the front desk and answers the phone, and the owner Jorge Sr) who are very helpful and work to get you your prescription in a timely manner. A few years back the pharmacist worked with my doctor to develop a custom compound to meet a specific need- much less expensive than buying the proprietary version advertised.

I have serious medical problems with my hands. My Pain Management Physician suggested a compound cream because another prescribed topical was no longer helping. Med Specialties took care of me the moment I called. It took a while to fill the prescription because all of the components were meshed by hand but I had it by the end of the day. I cannot ask for better service from anyone as I had here. Melissa worked the front and Jorge also helped me with the prescription in regard to having all the different parts to make the cream. Phone calls were immediately returned, they were friendly and patient. In the end I received my medicated cream with directions and a phone number if I have any problems after hours. I can see why my Pain Management Physician highly recommends Them.

Service was slower than slow. I submitted my RX earlier in the day. They said it would be done by 4:30 and they closed at 5:00. I showed up at 5:00 and it still wasn’t ready. They said “just a few minutes.” 28 minutes later the RX was ready. They seem really disorganized…definitely not a trait you want in a pharmacy. Not going back.

I'm not sure what happened to this place. They used to be more reliable. Over the past couple of years the service has tanked. They always say my prescription will be ready in two days. That's become a joke. It hasn't been ready in two days for years. But the frustrating part is that it's gone from 3 to 4 days to (now) well over a week. The prescription cream I use is in a container that gives me no warning that it's low. So I run out and I'm without my prescription for a week. They don't care. They just offer excuses. I think they've forgotten they're running a service business. I'm done. This time was my last. I'm taking my prescription elsewhere. Edit: I also forgot to mention that three years ago this prescription was $45. It's been going up and has reached $59 for a two month supply. I called Anaheim hills pharmacy and they're filling it next day for $45 for the same two month supply. Win! Better service and the price I used to pay three years ago.

Horrific experience with both the pharmacist/owner and the front clerk. Our dog requires a monthly prescription. According to the pharmacist the vet does not fill out the prescription correctly yet each month the prescription is filled out to the prior months qualifications yet each month the prescription is incorrect. Both the front clerk and pharmacist refuse to call and chat with vet, explaining what or how the prescription needs to be written therefore we/the consumer must go back and forth between the vet and pharmacy at minimum 4 times each month. YL compound pharmacy has zero customer service, zero helpfulness.The pharmacist/owner is extremely arrogant and narcissistic thinking he is the only one who is able to fill our prescription. We have taken our business to another compound pharmacy who not only chats with our vet but does electronic prescriptions making our lives so much easier. Not to mention the new compound pharmacy we found mails our prescription to us.Avoid YL compound pharmacy at all costs.

Prescription cream took over one month to get and such an odd run around. I don’t know who is running this place now but it went downhill fast. I can’t even get a copy of my prescription on file with them after asking over one week. Just needed a copy emailed for doctor appointment. There is something shady going on there. There are always weird excuses for everything. Stay away…..something is off from before.

Great place if you like feeling like you're being interrogated. 20 questions before you can even enter the front door. They treat you like they are doing you a favor by filling your prescriptions and refuse to give you any information about options. Prices are higher than other local or mail order compounding pharmacies. I suggest stopping by to talk to the pharmacist before you decide to use them. I'm shocked at the reviews stating they are helpful and friendly because they have not been. I won't be using them anymore.

Really educated, kind and helpful although they haven't followed up at all to deal with my hormone imbalance that I submitted and paid for a test with them. My doctor says she can't do anything with the info they provided unfortunately.

WOW- first time here for a compounded RX. Marsha greeted me at the counter. She was familiar with my RX but needed to consult with the Dr regarding the formulary. Marsha was extremely helpful & professional. She made me feel comfortable even tho I was apprehensive about a new pharmacy. I only wish my pharmacist was able to see how good friendly service can be.

Took more than two weeks to receive my dog's eye medication after being told it would arrive in a few days. The day after I ordered, I received a message from cashier saying the medication would hopefully go out that day, but it would arrive in a day or two. A week passes waiting. I call again and I am told, "Oh, I will make sure it goes out today." Again almost a week passes, and I call again and again I get the same response. "Oh, I will make sure it goes out today." Frustrated, I speak to a manager that tries to explain that these compounds can be difficult and so on. I point out that if that is true then why are you telling your customer it will be there is a few days? And, after my conversation with him, I got the prescription the next day! No issues after making a fuss! I called my vet who recommended Wedgewood Pharmacy in New Jersey. I just called and ordered, $49.25. Med Specialists Pharma charged me $105.12 for same medication but in a different format. What a waste of time, money and frustration. Never again!
