“I came to Velona as a last resort before ordering some expensive yarn online.This store is so much bigger than it looks from outside, and it is completely full of everything you might need for any type of fiber art craft. You could spend hours in this store and not see everything. There is every kind of yarn imaginable, plus crochet hooks, knitting needles, specialty tools, supplies for cross stitch/needlepoint, thread, notions, finished objects, and what appeared to be thousands upon thousands of pattern books (and that’s just what I noticed after my first visit.) There’s also vintage patterns and supplies that look to go back decades. If you’re looking for vintage, this is the place to go.The only real “con” is that it can seem a little unorganized to the casual shopper. But the owner knows where everything is, and can help you find anything, but if you want to just browse around it can be hard to find what you’re looking for.”

“What a bird lovers delight! From the moment you park and see all the birds in the parking lot, thanks to all the bird feeders. Not only do they have many beautiful outdoor decorations like garden flags, wind spinners, birdbaths & feeders (to name a few), they have many great solutions to help keep birds in your yard and discourage the annoying critters.This was our first time visiting, I don't think it will be my last! Even though I don't live in the area it's definitely worth the little detour to stop by for my bird supplies as well as beautiful gifts for loved ones. All the employees we met were very friendly & helpful yet never pushy. We we're blessed to meet the owners too - such a great couple - very inspiring entrepreneurial spirit!
