Please do not take your pets here. Customer service is horrible and staff here are unprofessional when treating animals. My dog was drop off and left in a cage for 5 hours. I never received a call that she would be left there longer than expected. They pull the dogs on the leash instead of guiding them, knowing it's a scary environment for animals. Do what you will but I recommend going to a different vet

I've taken my animals into bandfield for 10 years now and have been to many many locations in a few different states and I have to say this is the best location yet!! Both receptionists I spoke with dropping off/picking up my cat were very sweet, caring & knowledgeable. The Vet who cared for my cat was very good at explaining what was going on in relatable terms to someone who isn't familiar with all the medical terms out there so I could understand and feel comfortable and confident with the treatment plan discussed and I verrry much appreciate that!! Thank you ladies of Yorba Linda Bandfield!! You all rock ?

After seeing another vet the day before and still not knowing what was wrong with my dog who was bleeding all over the place, I took him here.. the other place charged me an arm and a leg for skin medicine and an ear cleaning.. I was there for blood coming out of his mouth!! Dr Silverman did an exam on him and determined the abscess on his tooth was indeed cancer and it had spread to his lungs and the only right thing to do was to put him down. Nicole was so gentle with him and let us spend so much time with him before and after. Alexis and Tamara were so patient with us as obviously this was a very traumatic experience for me and my young daughter. We loved our dog so much but are so happy he wasn't alone in his final moments and this wonderful staff was so caring to us and our fur baby.

Billing is the most important to them. Impersonal and rude.

Very frustrated with the Vet who saw my dog. I brought him for a cough. He said his teeth are rotten, then he has a murmur. He asked if he had seen a Cardiologist He said my dog has Chronic Bronchitis. My dog had his cough only for 2 weeks . Chronic bronchitis has symptoms of cough for months etc. Then he said his chronic bronchitis is related to his teeth. He then wanted to do a blood test . I said I just want him to give an antibiotic and a cough medication. He then gave me an antibiotic that are not commonly used for bronchitis. He only discussed a medication for cough . So frustrated with their doctor,

Banfield is kinda like Kaiser. It's great if you're reasonably healthy and just want to maintain your current state of health. For bigger issues, it's probably best to go to a bigger hospital. I've been using Banfield for years, and yes I have the pet insurance dealio. What I like about it is the convenience of being reminded to take my pet in twice a year for "upkeep." vaccinations, teeth cleaning, labs, etc. are due. Dr. McFadden is a good guy who genuinely puts his heart into his work. He works for Banfield though, and they only have certain equipment. If there are major health issues with my dog, I typically take her elsewhere. No big deal.

Not at all like it used to be.Said my pet was just breathing heavy because she was hot and to get her a cooling mat, said they could do xray but really didn't think she needed it so I trusted them. RIP. Ruby. And I been going for over 15 yrs. Dr. K was the best. And no Banfield no need for you to call me unless you really wanna know how I feel.

I should've read previous reviews because they try to rip you off with their stupid packages. They said my dog had an umbilical hernia and some eye issues and we could only figure out what it was if we signed up for their package and got a $150+ DNA test. They charged me 200 dollars for a visit and one deworming dose. Worst part was that i took my dog to a different vet and they told me he didn't have any eye issues or hernias and that he was perfectly healthy. Just mad that they made me worry and cry just so they could milk more money out of me and my family. Take your pets somewhere where they're actually looking to help your pet rather than rip you off.
