Selection is fine, albeit limited (what choice do you have in Woodside). Owner / manager is somewhat condescending. Any deposits you make (for renting / demos) will be non refundable. For me, his product recommendations have been influenced by whatever inventory he is trying to move, regardless of its efficacy.

This store is awesome. Julian (the owner) is so knowledgeable, caring, and patient. He helped try a bunch of rackets until I found the right racket (Yonex). Highly recommend!

Julian is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He runs a great racket demo program and gives you plenty of time and options before you make a selection. He takes a personal interest in what your goals are and provides very useful advice on which rackets will help you achieve them. Also very knowledgeable about the tennis community in the Bay Area. He recommended a club that has worked out great for me. I can't recommend Woodside Tennis Shop enough.

Julian is knowledgable, kind and a great conversationalist! My partner and I were looking to get a quote for a restring and to check out new pairs of tennis shoes. We described the proportions of our feet and the standard sizing and he was able to match us with brands that fit perfectly. Even taught us a better way to lace up the shoestrings. Very surprised to see luxury clothing brands like Lija here too. Really great store, I will be coming back and definitely saying goodbye to the generic chain sports stores. Always looking to support local business.

Julian is fantastic! He's knowledgeable and able to help you figure out what you need. Julian treats newcomers as if they are his long-time friends, and tries to help you whether you need shoes, a racquet, or players to hit with.

Julian is knowledgeable and super fun to work with! I stumbled into his shop a few weeks ago after a tennis game in the area and scored a really nice visor! A week later I needed another one because I gave mine to a neighbor who likes it. I called and Julian remembered who I was and was able to put one aside for me! In fact he put away 3 different sizes for me to choose from! How kind of him! Besides tennis appeals, this little gem restring racquet too! I'm definitely coming back!

Julian is a passionate teacher and an expert on tennis rackets. I chose Woodside Tennis Shop to support local small businesses but was pleasantly surprised at the cheaper price than online e-retails. If you are going to string your rackets locally anyways, it makes no sense to buy them online. Besides you get the right advice.
