My local store. Normally pretty ok, but today I ordered 2 roast beef sandwiches and they had 1 end of a loaf of bread. What deli serves sandwiches with heels of bread?

We stopped here for a quick lunch on our ride through the state parks to Santa Cruz. Super grateful we did. The deli section in this trading post did NOT disappoint! I had the creole potato salad and the biggest tamale(chicken) I've ever had and both were good! Cool stop in the way to seemingly nowhere! Very friendly staff from the people working in the deli, to the person running the register for the trading post! Wish I'd taken pictures.

I thought they were being hyperbolic, but they really do have the world’s best tuna salad! Sandwiches are also delicious, super friendly staff, and prices are really good (better gas price than the Bay for example) despite the relatively remote location. We always stop here on the way to Castle Rock!

If you are going to take 50 minutes to make a panini then give your customers a heads up when they order. And when your customer politely asks for a status at the 40 minute mark don't look at them as if they just asked you a strange question. They would like a simple update since you never told them to expect such a long wait. There was no line to order the sandwich so there was no way to know to expect such a long wait. There was some redemption - the sandwich tasted good. And there is a good people watching in the parking lot while waiting.

BEWARE: They charged me 94$ for a pack of Oreos, a red bull, two basic deli sandwiches, two microwave enchiladas, and two brownies ...... how lol ?!?! They threw away the recipe and I felt to awkward to ask to see why on earth it was so expensive. Sucks cuz we just moved here and it would be nice to have had this place as an option instead of having to drive down the hill for any old thing. Just tried to do the math on why it cost so much. They would have had to double charge me for every item to get close to the 94$ mark but why is the same item bough there marked at two different prices.... Feels illegal. UPDATE: I returned to get my receipt printed to figure out what happened. Thankfully it was a different cashier. He found my recipe and said she accidentally typed a 50$ instead of a 5$ and gave me a refund. He was amazing and I might return in the future because of his awesome customer service, but as for whoever works Monday's around 11am ... absolutely not. I'm curious as to if she pocketed the extra money herself or if it was a honest mistake. Either way a 45$ mistake is unacceptable!!!!

The store manager reached out to me and we had a really pleasant conversation about some of my bad experiences. He seems sincerely interested in customers having a good experience. I think it's likely that the store is better than the few bad experiences I've had!

Large assortment of fresh and made-to-order food. Beer and wine to go.

No effort at all in making the store cleaner, brighter. The sandwiches counter is slow; instead of making a sandwich and calling your number, they make 2-4 sandwiches and then call all those numbers. And don't dare ask where is your sandwich even after 10 minutes. The guy was a jackass. But they don't care, their making money hand over fist on the weekends

Me and my fellow motorcycle riding buddies have been coming here since 1998 when I started riding and it's been long due to give this store the credit it deserves!. This place is a safe haven if you love riding motorcycles going to very twisty roads and test your guts of how brave you are without crashing and this is highway 35 and the twists goes on for miles & miles all the way to Boulder California. Skywood has all the nutrition & nourishment you need PLUS it also has gas pumps if you need fuel. A lot of motorcycle enthusiasts along with exotic car enthusiasts comes here for you'll see Lamborghinis Ferraris and Porsches coming here every now and then in the weekend specially on Sundays.Skywood is a full blown store for everything you need sans motorcycle accessories. A must stop store to see right across Alice's Restaurant.

Sky wood is our local go-to for groceries when we don't have time to go over the hill. They have a good selection. The prices are higher than what you would pay on the Bayside, but that is the price of convenience for local groceries. The staff is helpful and friendly and during COVID they have been careful to follow all of the CDC and local guidelines. They hire great local people. Just go!
