This place is the definition of Microaggressive racism. My (Caucasian) friend and I decided to stop by here after brunch at the Village Bakery. I walked in the store and was not greeted by workers. I shrugged it off because I assumed they were busy talking about something important. Then my (Caucasian) friend walked in, the store worker stopped talking and greeted my friend. A few more (Caucasian) people walked in and the workers stopped to greet them too. The same thing happened as I left the store. The worker thanked my (Caucasian) friend and other (Caucasian) people for visiting the store but when it came to me it was dead silence. It was like I didn’t even exist. If you see that the workers/owner are not friendly to you, you may need to check your skin color. I’m definitely not returning. Microaggressive racism has no place in my heart.

The Emily Joubert home and garden store in Woodside is a nice store filled with beautiful things. I purchased an expensive coffee table book (French chateau living) and a British baking book (for pastries with tea) as well as part of a very fancy Italian coffee set. I wish I could have purchased more beautiful items but I am not so rich. The staff were friendly and helpful while I was visiting the store. I liked the outdoor garden urns but was disappointed that the prices were very expensive considering that they were not real cast iron or terracotta rather light weight resin type which is not for my garden style. I would definitely visit their store again when I can make the trek to Woodside.

Great selection of unique gifts. Great staff who help you find those gifts in a relaxed atmosphere. Great location in Woodside - close to everything but a million miles from Silicon Valley.

Love this store. My daughter loves it, too. We always find fun, new things in it both for the inside and outside!
