This company was so aweful. Ontario branch. Charged me $599 for 3 hours. Show up in a 15 foot truck. 5 feet of that truck was an overhang. My couch didn't even fit in the truck. When I called the company Caylen was the most unprofessional and one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with. Would not return my $300 deposit, would not get a bigger truck, refused to let me speak with anyone above him, yelled at me. Was extremely immature. I was literally in tears over the way he spoke to me. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. And disputing the charge with my bank. My parents and family and his movers heard the whole call over speaker and could not believe how he was speaking to me. There are no words. We needed having to pay 2 other workers and renting a 26ft truck to fit everything.

The owner of the company is extremely unprofessional and rude. If you want to be ripped off then you can go with this company. Actually had to involve the police because he was requesting payment before the job was done unfortunately that's not how things work. The deposit was paid, and we would pay the remainder after the movers finished. To no fault of their own, the owner told the movers to closed to truck door and drive off with our stuff at which point the sheriffs department was called. The deputy demanded they unpack our stuff because at this point it was considered stealing our property. The owner was rude and yelling at the officer through the phone and then continued to harass my family over the phone calling us more than TWENTY times. Come to find out from the officer, this company DOESN'T HAVE A BUSINESS LICENSE. We have since opened a claimed with the Better Business Bureau and reported fraud on our accounts. This company is a joke.

Expensive for what needed. Five things moved upstairs $249. The guys that came were awesome however. Most of the money goes to the GMM corporation and the my hire ppl to deliver the service. Didn't hear that from the guys but it was obvious.

I would give 0 stars if I could. The move experience was unpleasant from the moment one of the movers was caught inside my grandmas purse. He was inside the closet, door shut, purse and wallet open kneeled down. My grandma physically caught him in the act and he said he was just making sure nothing was left in the room. She checked and made sure nothing was actually missing, and I assume we caught him right when he got to her purse. We had our things moved once, into storage, and we suspected some things were stolen. Upon moving into our house we realized that there were things stolen, that the whole group had to be in on this. A whole storage container of my great grandmothers Mickey Mouse watches stolen, and my moms entire jewelry box filled with CHEAP costume jewelry. You hire a company and pay them to move your things and they disrespect your home and steal from you? Not to mention most of our furniture was left with scratches as well. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

Probably the worst movers you could possibly get. They arrived three hours late there were three of them to move a house with 3400 ft.² when they arrived they asked if they could eat their burritos before starting after they were three hours late. They were slow after four hours the entire downstairs hadn't even been packed. They finished the job at 8:30 PM they did not put one piece of furniture together at the new house and did not get everything moved from our old house. It took my husband and myself another three days to move the things from our old house to our new house. Then we discovered they put two holes in our walls moving items out did not tell us they also chipped a piece of wood out of the floor which ended up costing us $600 to fix. Not to mention the 1500 for the move. Worst movers ever... DO NOT HIRE

I was very disappointed with this company. I called and made reservations for a move 3 days in advance. They gave me a window to begin at 8am to 10 am. And insisted I put a deposit down. I called the night before to verify and they said they may be a little later than expected. The morning of they called and said they would not be able to make it until 7 PM to do the move. That is way more than a little late. I was very fustrated and let them know it. with no cuss words. All they could say is we are sorry and we can give you back you deposit. How can a company screw you over at the last minute and only say im sorry. I was in quite a bind. And because I was fustrated and let them know it. they texted me back and said they can not do busy with me because I was abusive. They put me in a bind. And I still have not recieved by refund for my deposit. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY

There is an odd ball that says he owns this company calling himself Caylen Grasser, and he is spreading malicious lies about people as a means to sabotage their businesses. He is a pushy pest, he was or may still be working at this company or he may have moved on to a mortgage company, now posing as a real estate broker.

These guys were great! The price was very reasonable, ended up being approx $480 to move my 2br apartment into a new condo with a ton of stairs. The guys worked fast - no loafing - and were friendly and professional. Very satisfied, would use again.

Do not hire this company. Giant Monkey Movers is a bad company for many reasons. Hire at your own risk. If you read this and don't want this to happen to you, choose another company I am only writing this detailed in hopes that nobody else has to go through what I went through. You are better off finding any random person to help you move. The sales person Gaitlin or Gaylin (not sure the spelling) was completely dishonest. I asked specifically if they were a sales company, or if they provided there own services. Gaylin assured me that they were insured and did all of the moves themselves and they they had their own trucks, and would come prepared. I told them that my Mother has passed away and the furniture was very dear to me and it was most implementing that I had professionals doing the move especially since we would be navigating heavy things up stairs. I took pictures and measurements of all furniture and sent them to Gaylin. After we communicated digitally via text and email, I finalized the appointment by phone with Gaylin. He once again assured me everything would be ok, and we scheduled the appointment and I paid a deposit. The movers showed up 3.5 hours late, it was almost dark outside already. They showed up with an enterprise rent a truck They did not have a furniture dolly or any professional moving tools. The young men that showed up had no idea what was being moved and showed me the cover sheet they received from Gaylin on behalf of Giant Monkey Movers who subcontracted these boys (exactly what I didn't want in almost every way) and have them no information as to what was being moved. I was presented with a waver that was printed out on a printer that was low on ink so some of the sentences were not even legible. This waver basically said in multiple different ways that they would not be responsible for any damages they cause on accident. Completely the opposite of why I hired professionals. The boys then took a good 20 minutes to figure out what they were going to do because I wouldn't sign the paper. Reluctantly and being as frustrated as I was that we were about to start moving at almost 7pm at night, I signed the waver to get things going. The very first item they moved they broke the bottom of the fragile wood I warned them about splintering. One of the boys was hardly able to lift items and eventually after breaking two droors out of a priceless unit in an attempt to make it lighter, and loosing grip and balance on the stairs with another unit, only to be save by the wall, putting a nice dent and paint chipped gash in my drywall. I had him sit out for the rest of the moves and I moved the items myself with the other young man to avoid any further damage. At the end of the night, they offered to use wood glue to fix the wood they broke, offered to just "give a good hard push" to the droors that were pulled out so forcefully the porcelain ball bearings spilled out, which would do the trick to get them back into place, and then offered to touch the wall up if I had the paint to do it, however, the time was to be still billed by the hour. They ended up taking way longer then planned. I bought them a pizza and sodas and they billed me for the time spent eating it on the break. And although the boys that showed up worked there tail off, meant well, and did the absolute best job they could without a question. They were not professional and very unprepared. I sent Gaylin a formal complaint which only turned into Gaylin being a sarcastic in return and challenging me and antagonizing me with responses like "check the facts on the email we sent you" and things of that sort. If this guy would have just apologized I might not even have complained but the fact that days after the job was done he was still antagonizing me about my complaint to him absolutely pushed me over edge and I hope this person is fired and or at least the owners of this company realize that they are choosing to not care about repeat business or reputation by ke

Take note that any good reviews on this company, (Giant Monkey Movers), are YEARS old. I needed movers and packers quickly and they were the first available, (clarified: not the best). The movers were nice and did a decent job, but the sales associate Caylen, is snarky, unprofessional, and ill-equipped for his job as a customer service sales person. I stated my need for my home to be packed up and moved. I clarified that I had 2 bathrooms and a kitchen filled with basic kitchen stuff. If I call a moving company and clarify that I need the house to be packed up and the sales associate restates the obvious 'you want us to put stuff in boxes', I assume they will come with the TOOLS NECESSARY to pack and move my belongings. It's a SALES PERSON'S JOB as the MOVING EXPERT to upsell boxes, paper, tape, etc. and clarify that these IMPORTANT ITEMS are not included with his "packing/moving" quote. He made NO MENTION of this whatsoever. 'Do you need any supplies?' 'Do you have your own boxes?' 'Do you want wardrobe boxes?' Nope, no questions asked; no clarification at all. NOTHING. So, I paid over $800 to have three guys move some beds and couches. What a waste. Thanks for nothing. Epic fail, Caylen. The worst sales associate ever. BTW: clarify: to make clear, to explain; to free from confusion. Don't ever overuse a word you don't fully understand. PS. First, as a professional, I called to inquire where the disconnect occurred. Of course, this kid, with no customer service skills whatsoever, quickly escalated the conversation by immediately accepting no blame and asking me if I ran a moving company. Then, he proceeded to tell me that he hears it all the time how people think they know better. Seems like a pattern with this kid. Avoid this company at all costs. PPS. Caylen's clarification failure was obviously noticed immediately on moving day, but the onsite guys were unable to offer any solution, had no access to ANY boxes, and made no attempts to resolve the issue, or even call a manager who might be able to help.

I am the Director of Operations with a nationwide company that is used by PODS. In California the prefered company that we call first for all of our labor jobs is Giant Monkey Movers. They care about the quality of work that is done, and making sure that the customer is happy with the job. These guys never do any job halfway. When I started with the comapny, they used other companies in California. At that time my company would call Giant Monkey Movers to fix the mistakes other companies would make. I made the change to just calling the pros in the first place! My customers won, and so did my company! CALL GIANT MONKEYS FIRST, if you want it done right the first time!
