We purchased a membership today in store. My partner and I are first time Costco shoppers, and had intended to purchase the Gold Star membership, and then do some light grocery shopping but ended up not doing any shopping today due to the horrendous service we received while signing up. When you go to sign up at their kiosk, there's two memberships and a credit card that you can sign up for. My partner and I are a two-person household, and don't have much need for any extreme bulk buying beyond a few things. So we planned to sign up for the bottom tier 'Gold Star' option and potentially upgrade later. Now, you can expect a sales pitch to upgrade to the executive membership, and to sign up for the credit card. This is a given, but we'd already weighed our options and decided that for now, we just want to try the baseline and see if Costco is really for us and our small household. So when Lori K gave us the shpeal, we politely declined. She then asks us a second time, saying 'you don't understand. You're LOSING money' to which my husband replied 'we understand that but we would like to just try it out for now' and she for a THIRD time (and at this point is raising her voice at us) 'but you're LOSING MONEY' at this point, I step in and ask if the option to upgrade is available later. She deflects my question, 'you can downgrade at ANY time.' And I asked again, 'But can we upgrade at any time?' And finally she confirmed that yes, we can upgrade whenever we want. We again tell her that we JUST want the gold Star membership and it's like her whole demeanor changed. She became snippy, rude, and was actively undermining herself in front of us while speaking to her manager. She needed a proof of address from me (the secondary) and when I showed her my online lease, she wouldn't even look at it. Was just pointing at me and telling me to ask the manager, to which she wouldn't identify. Eventually after my asking, she points the manager to me and makes ME go up to him to ask if my signed online lease agreement was allowed. While we're waiting for him to finish up with another customer, she's pushing my husband to finish up and pay. My husband is trying to tell her that he's not going to pay until the manager approves my proof of address because he wants me on the account as well, and she's at the point getting aggressive with her tone and telling him 'oh no YOURE fine YOURE the primary. It's just her that needs approval.' Like dude, just step back a second and calm down. She had ZERO patience. And when the manager comes over and verifies my address, she's actually arguing with him about it in front of us. Saying 'Well Mel said physical forms only so are you sure you want to approve her? I don't think you should approve her' and dudes like 'yeah it's fine' and she just keeps arguing with him lmao. I get that this job is sales driven, staff likely have a quota that they have to meet, but even if we were mildly interested in signing up (which we were) this attitude and pushiness is absolutely unacceptable. I'm grateful for the manager stepping in, he again tried to push the membership on us, but he was polite, soft spoken and urged us to come upgrade today after our shopping was over because he was certain that would more than make up for the membership. I'm not mad about getting a membership pushed on us, I'm mad about Lori's abysmal attitude and the way that she treated us so poorly. You attract more flies with honey, Lori!

I was in Costco with my brother in law. He had never been to Costco before. He was asking about membership so we stopped at customer service desk and met Daniel. (Wears glasses). My brother in law decided to apply for Costco Citi and become member. It got to a moment he couldn't remember anything including his birth date. He had just lost his wife two days before and needed to get out of house so we went to Costco. When he broke down crying, he was saying he was sorry and that his wife has passed. Daniel came around the desk and asked can I give you a hug? Dale (my brother in law) just sobbed in his arms. Daniel truly showed compassion. Beyond words on his patience, with people in line huffing because they had to wait he didn't care. He told him take your time. It's okay. This deserves a review. Daniel, thank you. And thank you for carrying out the case of water to my car. It won't be forgotten what you did that day.

I ask if I can come in for 2 new tires, he says you're going to be waiting all day make a appointment so I agree he makes me a appointment for a week away from my request. He sounded bother that I even called. I will take my business somewhere else

Multiple people waiting over 2 hours for their cars to be pulled in for tire change. Assistant store manager was not helpful. My recommendation is to go elsewhere for your tire service.

Was told that it would take 1.5 hrs for tire installation. Took two hours before they even pulled the car into the bay. By then I was tired of waiting and my groceries were getting warm. I had them pull my car around and got a refund. It should never take two hours to start on a vehicle with an appointment. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with their service and DO NOT RECOMMEND.Took car to Les Schwab Tire and was taken care of asap.

Supervisors and a employee at this location are the worst they have no idea what it means to treat the customers with respect they scream they are totally not professional. Will never go back to Costco.

So much attitude in the tire center, if you hate your job so much why don't you quit and get a new job somewhere else.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review for Costco. And yeah I'm being overdramatic, and??!!Anyways, I bought a space heater from Costco about a year ago. It just stopped working recently so although that was a bummer, I was like cool this is the best reason to buy from Costco, I can just return it!I bring it to this Woodland Costco today and the first question I get upon setting the heater on the return desk is "where is the remote"? I'm like what remote.. I don't know I never used a remote. The lady at the register did not care at all and just told me I couldn't return it without the remote, no exceptions. Damn that sucks, I think. Well shoot I'm already in Costco, I'm going to go browse around, maybe pick up another heater, but I'm taking this heater I brought with me, maybe I can fix it. I take one step, the lady calls me back over. She says you can't walk around with that, you need to bring it back to your car. By the way, it happens to be very rainy and windy and my car is parked pretty far away. Ugggghhhh. Whatever. I ask the lady politely if she could just put it in her trash can. Some other guy comes over, as if I'm starting trouble or something, points outside the store, and tells me I can throw it away right outside. You can't even place this little vornado space heater in your trash??This whole interaction is not that serious obviously, but it just was not a friendly vibe at this return counter today. I would like to give a shoutout to the kind customers who let me skip them in line because they had a full cart and I ended up getting like 3 items. So that was super nice of them!Oh, was that you wondering what I did with the initial space heater?? Sure, I'll tell you! I ended up setting it next to a trash can outside to see if it would still be there when I came back out. To my surprise, it was!! So I picked it up, walked out to my car and headed back home. That space heater still does not work.

This is my favorite Costco in my area! I live in Natomas and I would rather drive 20 mins than go to the one that is 15 mins from me. I can come here and be out in 10 mins if I need to!The gas station is always packed except early in the morning so that's I usually go!

For it being the only Costco around, it gets the job done well. It's not the biggest Costco, but carries a variety of foods to give you options which is nice. Sometimes they don't carry consistent inventory so if you see something random (like not a staple item) that you want, you should probably just buy it then, because it might not be there next time. Also can't beat Costco gas prices which is worth the membership alone.

First time shopping at this Costco. Clean nicely laid out, friendly shoppers. That would have been 5 stars no problem. Some employees were friendly. Never had a problem with other Costco. I gave Costco Woodland 1 star because the man at the exit door checking the receipt asked me: "how many items do you have". 1) He has my receipt in his hand. So count how many items I have in my cart. 2) are you profiling me? We are both minorities. 3) I wouldn't have bought $120 membership to not pay something. 4) COUNT the item in my cart against those on my receipt.I spent $135.91 and receipt checkout ar 2.14pm on 10/11/2022. I want Costco to contact me. I don't see anywhere in their website I can complaint other than call. Which would not get anywhere probably get round around.

My favorite Costco in the "Sacramento" area so far. This location is less crowded both at the gas station and at the registers. This store is larger, by fact and offer a lot of items that Cal Expo and Rancho don't carry. This location is very clean and organized. Parking is nice and not crowded. Bottom line, my take away from this store: less crowded.

If you live nearby, this is the Costco! I've been to Roseville, Sacramento, and Elk Grove and there is not comparison. This place is not as busy, parking is super easy, and the line at the gas station goes quick.

Economical. Work can taken a while, there are a few Starbucks nearby to hang out during the wait. Nice people. They stock tires and batteries but not for every make/model car.

It's Costco. Worth the membership even for just my wife and I. Lines for gas are usually long because the price is 5-10 cents less per gallon. We like that there are many locations.
