Good people. Was on our way up to Redding when we had car problems just south of Woodland. Tow driver recommended B&F Automotive. Bobby did a great job on diagnosing that it was a bad thermostat, Bobby replaced the bad part and we was on our way.

Can’t recommend this place highly enough. I brought my Hyundai in for a blown head gasket and Bobby really took such good care of us and my car. He really knows his stuff and charges very reasonable rates so I won’t be taking my car to any other mechanic.

My daughter blew a head gasket in her Hyundai and scrambled around trying to decide where to take it to be worked on. We got a really good feeling talking to Bobby about the issue, and decided to have him do the work, knowing it would probably be more complicated than just a simple gasket replacement. Of course it was a warped head that needed milling, and required an entire valve job. My daughter is 23 and a student at Davis, just the kind of person a mechanic could take advantage of. Bobby not only did a great job getting her car back on the road and running great, but he picked up the phone when he was in the shop, and talked with us through the whole process. He did everything when he said he would, and was always good natured despite the difficulty of the problems. I feel like he just took a personal interest in our case, and gave 100% effort to get it done right. When the bill came, I felt completely floored in a way I never expected. The price was more than fair, about what he originally quoted me, even though much more work was done than planned, unbelievable after all that went into the project. We came away feeling so impressed with his humanity, his decency, and his efficiency, we want him to be our mechanic for life, almost can't wait to need some more work done. I never write reviews, but feel that this shop needs to be recognized.

Customer service was great on the phone. Estimate & scheduling were convenient. Brakes were completed on time, even a little bit early. Family run shop with honest service.

Don’t come to this place. He gossips about certain customers of a certain race to his religious organization. He has made comments to my minor child regarding her race, using the oil on his hands to compare to her skin color. Crazy because my child is of light skin complexion, and he takes forever and a day to finish a simple task. Too busy making racist remarks and swindling.

I was looking to fix clutch for my son's Subaru Forester 2007. Called few shops in Davis and then decided to try Woodland. Got to talk to Bobby (the owner). He quickly confirmed the problem over phone, quoted very reasonable price with option to order parts on my own. He did mention repair would take longer than 3 days due to COVID. So we towed car to the shop and opted for him to order parts (to keep warranty on this expensive repair - 6 hours of labor). It took 8 days because two his mechanics got seek but at the end repair was done, in good order and he kept price as promised. So - trustful, experienced, reasonable - highly recommended.Service: Transmission
