I recently visited Petco and had a fantastic experience thanks to Clay! From the moment I walked in, Clay was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He took the time to listen to my needs and provided knowledgeable recommendations for pet supplies. His enthusiasm for animals was evident, and he seemed genuinely passionate about helping customers find the right products for their furry friends. Whether it was explaining the benefits of different pet foods or suggesting toys, Clay was patient and thorough in his assistance. I left the store feeling well-informed and satisfied with my purchases. Thank you, Clay, for making my visit so enjoyable! I highly recommend seeking him out during your next visit to Petco.

I want to begin by mentioning that my puppy will be turning one year old in February and is an energetic Yorkie, as one might expect. I was quite pleased with what his groomer did in terms of his overall cut and finish. I understand that a second grooming session with a puppy can be challenging, and on both occasions, I made it clear to the groomers that I didn't expect perfection.Andrea did an exceptional job during his first grooming, exceeding my expectations. She was not only courteous and attentive but also professionally stepped in when she noticed I had difficulty articulating my expectations. She truly did a fantastic job. However, when I arrived today to pick up my puppy, the groomer started our conversation with, "Your puppy was a menace to society!" It was quite an opener, and I didn't appreciate her colorful vocabulary. She went on to "explain" why my puppy appeared somewhat disheveled and mentioned that he had matting behind his head on the neck. Please keep that detail in mind.As I waited to see my little one, she directed me to pay first, which left me feeling as if he was being held for ransom. After completing the payment, she brought HIM out (she had bathed him, so she certainly saw his anatomy), and he had a Shih Tzu-style updo with a rubber band, typically used on female dogs. I was taken aback - it was not what I expected at all. The rubber band was so tight that it caused distress to my puppy when I tried to remove it in the car.Throughout my life, I've had male dogs, and they always received bow ties as a finishing touch to their grooming. But not today...As I examined the cut in greater detail at home, I suspected that the reason the hair tie was used was to hide the subpar haircut on top of his head. When I ran my fingers through his hair, I could see that the symmetry was off, and the length was uneven. He looked like an extra member of The Monkees band. This brings me back to the supposed matting on the back of the neck and head. Not only was this an upsell on the service ticket, but it also foreshadowed the less-than-ideal haircut my puppy received. What the groomer didn't know was that my puppy had diarrhea two days before today, and I brushed and bathed him myself because of it. So, there was no way he was matted. Additionally, I had brushed him out before his first visit with Andrea, and she even mentioned at checkout how surprised she was that there was no matting, considering it was his first grooming. I simply smiled.Returning to today's groomer - not only did she not do a great job, but she also lied to me and attempted to upsell me with a membership as if she were proud of her work. Needless to say, the $20 tip I had prepared for her was substantially reduced. It's truly unbelievable.

I shop at this Petco location very often as I live nearby and have never experienced such a bad experience as I did today.I came in to the store 11/18 at around 8:45pm with an unopened bag of dry food that I had ordered earlier in the day through Instacart (the purchase was also linked to my Petco loyalty account). I explained the situation to the friendly lady, who had also greeted me when I came in, and explained that I needed to exchange the unopened bag for another one of higher price, she then asked me to select and grab the item that I wanted. After a couple minutes, I come back with the bag that I wanted to process the exchange for (which costed over $85). She pulled up my account and before completing the exchange, she needed the manager to override the exchange. This when Andre, the "manager", comes in and without even saying hello, states that he won't do the return because my proof of purchase is not valid "I am literally showing them the order confirmation and details from my phone". I tried to explain the situation and reason with him, knowing that he can do the override and stop arguing, but instead he chose to go off to his employee (in front of me) trying to make her look like she doesn't know what she is doing which really made her feel uncomfortable (I could tell by her face). If this is how Andre, this pseudo manager, treats her employees in front of customers I don't even want to imagine how he treats them when nobody is looking...Awful customer service, manners and work ethics. I hope this person is investigated and made accountable for his behavior. I will definitely not be bringing my business to this or any Petco locations anymore.

I'm always reluctant to come to this Petco location when I have a limited amount of time because they are usually short staffed or just don't have enough people at the registers. This 5 star review is specifically for the service I received today by Dan.Today I came in to pick up several online orders and was assisted by Dan. He is awesome!!!! Because of the size of my orders, he was very careful to ensure everything was correct. I then realized I wanted to purchase more stuff but wanted to do it online for in-store pickup to take advantage of the additional 10% off. I definitely didn't want to wait 2 hours for the order to be filled since I was already at the store.Dan was nice enough to go pull the items from the shelf and wait for my order to go through to their system so that I didn't have to come back later. I so greatly appreciated his professionalism, kindness, and patience. Dan also gave me invaluable information about their vital rewards program. Make sure to ask about it next time you're there. It's really a great program designed to save you money. Thanks Dan for making my Petco visit a seamless and easy transaction.

All the staffs having Very bad attitude .On 8:45 pm there is still 15 min to the closing time . You can't refuse giving service to the customers. Or no letting them to use the 10% discount that they've already paid extra for.

Dan, at PETCO in Woodland Hills neglected to tell me that I was charged for a bag. This is not the practice of the PETCO stores I frequent in Camarillo and Thousand Oaks. I would not have said "Yes" to a bag if I had been told that I was paying for it. Never shopping at this location again. Terrible PR.

I go to this store for everything for my pets. The manager, Amber, who was there today around 3pm is the most unprofessional, unfriendly and unpleasant person I've ever experienced at any Petco location. I will not go to this location and I live around the corner . I do not recommend this location.

I've been taking my Goldens to get groomed at petco for over 2 years and they always go that extra mile with them. They know each dogs personality and have helped me with their itchy skin and constant shedding by recommending different shampoos and conditioners and treatments. All of the groomers are simply amazing.

Would not allow my dog to come into to get shots after she has had shots here before. They made the decision for me even after my dog has had shots with them before without a problem. Her only reaction was slight swelling as a puppy, not even with this clinic. Waste of time as they don’t want to do their job

The lack of customer service here was surprising. I came in a few days ago, to buy supplies and food for my cat. I needed to know something about a price, and I went to an employee and politely asked a question. The employee scowled at me and simply said she wasn't sure. I went to ask another employee and when I asked them, they told me they were busy. The employees here do not like helping customers. They are unfriendly and rude, and have no customer service skills whatsoever. I will not be coming back.

Rarely, would I ever write a review for a chain store. However, this particular location has convinced me not to shop with Petco ever again. My husband attempted to return unopened dog food this morning as it possibly infected our dog with giardia (just wanted to return as a precaution). He brought the receipt and the cans, however, the clerk could not locate our order. The manager, Sarah/Sara, was called over to assist. She seemingly did not understand how to use the computer and the clerk had to assist. She also could not locate our order and when she entered in our phone number she couldn't locate our Petco account. We were at Petco just a few days earlier and our phone number worked just fine. In addition, I verified on our online account that the phone number was correct and linked to our account. Sarah/Sara was unwilling to assist or accommodate. No further recommendations were made and we were told that they could not accept our return. She was also unfriendly and interrupted us while speaking. She then walked away and left my husband with the clerk. In the end, we were able to get a refund via the online chat. That being said, we have decided to switch to a different retailer. Sara/Sarah is in dire need of additional training on customer service and how to look up orders/accounts.

Vetco is the worst! First of all they bombard you daily with conformation texts, then on the Friday before appt claim you missed appt. They’re not even there on Fridays. Next they quoted me $37 for one rabies vac. I called my vet and they quoted $21 and their vac clinic is sat, mon and Wednesday. Vetco is a an overpriced badly run joke. Better to just call local Vet and ask for their vac clinic days

Some of the rudest people that in my opinion seem to really dislike certain people for no reason especially within the clinics staff they have for vaccines and prescriptions for flea and tick stuff. Other Petco stores have been wonderful but the Woodland Hills store is really bad and I suggest not going to that location.
