Iconic audio video shop for those who care about music!!! I have been purchasing and servicing my active Linn Naim system there for over 20 years. Alon is an extremely knowledgeable professional, a great listener and a fantastic person who truly understands Hi-Fi. A rare skill for sure. Stan is the most amazing Linn LP12 technician among many other brands including Thorens. Dual, Rega, Acoustic Research McIntosh, Marantz and more. If you want your turntable to sound its best let Stan do the service!!! I highly recommend!!!

We have worked with Alon and his team for 10 years. Mike, Simon Justin and Gilbert are experts in the AV field. We have complicated AV needs and they always come though. I highly recommend Shelley's Stereo.

Didn't buy anything or get anything fixed. But, Stan the turntable guy was incredibly helpful. He talked to me on the phone and took a look at my old zenith turntable. Not.much he was going to be able to do so he directed me to another place that helped me out. The store itself is amazing and look forward to purchasing something here someday.

The owner and associates here are super knowledgeable, friendly, and graciously accommodating - this store is a wonderful find. My friend's LP121 "tune-up" was done with such care and perfection. I had the opportunity to listen to the new Linn 360s and my appreciation of sound skyrocketed - just wow! Don't trust anyone else when it comes to getting the best service and quality!

Larry has been coming here in one form or another for over 30 years. They've moved locations from time to time, but their brilliant staff and awesome showroom has been essentially the same. As a matter of fact. Larry has taken their products most notably, My Linn Sondek LP12 Turntable through literally millions of miles of travel, and they have never hesitated to offer advice, assistance and a helping hand no matter how far from home I've found myself. I recently realized I was in need of some new gear and stopped by. I was as expected, not disappointed. I cannot tell you how awesome it was to speak to someone who spoke my language. Mind you, Larry ain't one of those there Beverly Hills type billionaire weenies with more cash than brains and a trophy wife who wants a fancy home theater in her spa room. Nope. We spins vinyl. And we don't listen to music, we APPRECIATE music. And so do the fine people at Shelley's. Wanna know how I know this? Cuz when I walked into a high end audio shop in Singapore, Japan, Australia or Manila, dropping Shelley's name opened doors to the inner sanctum like the key to the city would have done. These people are world class. Neophites or crotchety old audio junkies like me will all be given the same attention and education. Name another shop of any product that can do the same and I'll bet the list is short or nonexistent. Now look, this is not your big box stereo store. These folks carry high end gear and even a starter set will run you easily into five figures. But what high end hobby won't? So save your money and go. Or don't, and go anyway. You will get a huge education and I suspect your view of music reproduction will be turned on its' head. These folks have been the real deal for decades, and hopefully, many more to come. They deserve a look and I believe, your business.

I heard about the legendary Stan from the audiophile forum's I frequent. I had recently purchased an LP12 in poor condition, despite the seller's assurances that the unit was in spectacular condition. I took it over to Stan at Shelley's, who is the Linn savant of the West Coast, and he worked his magic. Stan was always available to speak to me throughout each and every step of the process, and he made me feel special every time we interacted. He worked tirelessly on my LP12 and had it ready for me before new years, which was the best gift of 2022 that I received. Now I have a beautiful and truly spectacular LP12 and a new friend in Stan. I highly recommend that if you are even curious about getting your deck up and running, reach out to Stan. He is kind, thoughtful, talented, and the most capable pair of hands in the business. As for Shelley's Stereo, you simply couldn't ask for a better store front to wait in, and the staff are all genuine and friendly. I love this place and wished I lived closer so I could bother them all regularly!

I've used Shelley's Stereo and Video for a number of components over many years. Everyone in the store has always been considerate, listened carefully to my wife's and my descriptions of our needs, made specific suggestions within our budget, were very patient in taking all the time we needed to understand what we were purchasing, and responded to all our questions and concerns. When we finally made our selections Shelley's installed the equipment in a very professional and timely manner. In addition, when I developed a hearing deficit and was having trouble connecting a device that would broadcast audio directly to my hearing aids, I called Alon after not speaking with him in years. He patiently walked me through a possible remedy and invited me to keep in touch in the event I needed more help. This was particularly important to me as both my audiologist and the technical staff for my hearing aids had exhausted their expertise concerning how to fix the issue. If I could give Shelley's Stereo and Video more than 5 stars I would.

Shelley's is every audiophiles dream hangout spot. One of the hidden gems of LA. Recently bought a new turntable but was never able to make it sound great upon setup so upon researching some locations found that everyone trusted Stan at Shelley's as he's the man to talk to for all things turntable. While Stan was at work fixing my turntable I was able to experience a true hifi system in their incredible listening room thanks to Forrest !! Super incredible service, walked away with a fixed turntable, new profound appreciation for audio technology and appreciation for the welcoming staff.

I purchased a vintage 1980's-era Linn Sondek LP12 turntable and in my research found that the best and only person who could restore and repair a Linn turntable is Stan Zeiden of Shelly Stereo. Stan is a fountain of knowledge and certified expert in Linn Sondek turntables. He repaired and upgraded my Linn and made it sing again. The Linn Sondek is not an easy turntable to work on so I opted not to attempt the work myself. Boy, was I pleased when I got it back. This turntable puts out a beautifully balanced and nuanced sound. Unlike my Thorens and Pro-Ject turntables, it really brings out all the detail in my vinyl records in a way that makes an old song sound new again. If you are in need of getting your Linn turntable repaired, Stan is the only one you should call!

I brought in my Thornes TD 124 turntable several weeks ago. It belonged to my father and I wanted to start using it again. It hadn't been used for several years. The speed selector wasn't working along with several other problems including needing a new cartridge and stylus. It was also missing the counter weight. As you have read from others Stan was the man. He was exceptional knowledgeable and kept me informed about what my unit needed. Needless to say he did a great job in getting everything working properly and doing a great job in cleaning the unit. On top of all that he was extremely nice and very interesting to talk to. I am definitely glad I found him to take care of my needs.

Great place with stunning gear. Two channel listening experiences were as good as it gets. The home theater room with the Atmos setup is better than being in a theater. Elan are Tony are the ultimate hosts and super friendly and welcoming. I had a hard time prying myself away.
