My highest recommendation to Jason Chapman. I procrastinated with my taxes every year until I found Jason Chapman at H&R Block. Jason is very knowledgeable and patient. He is thorough and gives helpful suggestions for the next year as well. H&R Block is quite lucky to have him as an employee. I'll definitely be going back to have my taxes done by him next year!

First & last time using this service. They charged $360 for a simple return. The woman who did them couldn't figure it out & had to ask for help. She didn't do my deductions correct as I received a letter from the IRS today & now I'm fixing her error. Thanks for absolutely nothing.

I started my 2021 tax return in February 2022 with an accountant at H&R Block Woodland Hills. One week in they switched accountants on me without notice. I received little to no follow up from the accountant the entire time he was supposedly preparing my return. On April 18th, the tax deadline, after numerous attempts to contact the accountant through the HR Block message service and via his personal HR Block email, I finally got ahold of him via telephone. I was told he needed 30 more min and then would be filing my return. Instead, I received an email the next day that an extension had been filed. Again I tried to message the accountant to understand the status of my return. No response. I have since been told he his now on leave and was given his managers email to follow up, which I have multiple times with no response. It is now June 21 2022, 5 months since I first contacted H&R Block to help file my taxes and I just called again, was told the Woodland Hills Office wasn't open and no one could help me and then they hung up on me. To say I do not recommend this company is an understatement. I will never again be using them for tax preparation. The customer service and response time is horrific.

Unreliable and horrible customer service. Started my return with Jason Chapman. Submitted docs weeks in advance, he never got back to me on any of my questions, office and him ignored all my calls and messages, leaving me hanging on the last day of filing. I had to file an extension eventually! Called H&R block main line as well, and they just hanged up as well. Don't recommend using H&R block especially this office.

This is one of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with. I signed up 6 weeks before the tax filing deadline and they didn’t finish my return in time. They wasted countless hours of my life with all the times I had to follow up on them. And everyone was so rude - they sounded way overworked. I will never deal with this company again.

Jason Chapman... I hope he never leaves.. I have used Jason for years when living in Cali and when I moved to TN I was EXCITED to find out he could still be my tax advisor. This year makes my 2nd time filing since moving to TN and Jason makes the process over the phone just as simple and effortless as if I were in person. He has such a calming demeanor and matter of fact about him and I find that to be so helpful during a time when filing taxes can be so stressful. I highly recommend using Jason..

I am trying to be fair in this review. I will never use HR again. For the last three years I have used the service and it has progressively gotten worse. The service I received costs between $250-$350 each time. Never been told what I will pay before the service is done. Unless you go in and have your taxes done while you wait, the experience is horrible. For the second year I have uploaded my taxes to the website. If you do this you will blindly wait and wait to hear from the company. I sent (5) messages through the website over a three day period and I never received a response. I called three times and could not get through to a person. Once I finally reached a human, I explained I was trying to get an update as no one had been in contact with me. I was told I would receive a call back. After six hours with no return call, I tried again. This time I was told that the person I chose to do my taxes, and that the website said was working on them, no longer worked at the location I chose. The person who the online account showed was doing my takes was never updated. I know this because a friend also chose the same person online to do their taxes. The day taxes where due they had to go in and wait for someone to become free to do their taxes. They were offered a 11:30 pm appointment. They chose to wait for someone. Nothing ever goes smoothly when I use HR Block. I put my bank info in to get a direct deposit and my return was mailed to me. I was not asked what service I wanted but did put some information online. The person I chose not to return to was finally given my taxes to prepare. You think she would have seen the way she did my return last year or if she had question would have called and asked. When she finally contacted me and told my return was under $100. I said why is that? She said I did a simple no itemized service. I said what was done last year and the year before when my return was much larger. She said she would have to look. I said they way I have had it done in the past is the way I want it. A company as large as this should spend some money making sure their website work before having people put their information online. The website should also not say someone has started to work on your taxes when in fact, no one has. The money I pay for HR Block is the same I paid for a private CPA in the past. In a private company someone answers emails and phone calls. It seems that their are not enough people for the amount of returns they take. While this is not the workers fault, it is also not the paying client fault. HR Block your clients and workers deserve better. The idea of paying to be your clients so that I have a week of aggravation seams silly. Never again!!!!

I just called asking a question about rotating taxes with in between two parents as I have never dealt with something like this before I needed clarification the tax Individual Roda was very rude. I advised her I’m just trashing her to make sure I was clear. Horrible customer service do not call this place or do business as they over charge .
