I've been with Gaspar Insurance for a few years now. The have my homeowners, earthquake and car insurance. I've never needed them for anything about my home, but was in a car accident a little over a year ago and they were great. They took care of everything very quickly. My car ended up being totaled and they gave me a fair price for my car. They even continued to fight after I thought it was settled and determined I was not at fault and returned my deductible. I've been very happy with them.

I've been with Gaspar for six years. Lately, service from them has deteriorated badly--late responses, sometimes no response at all. Email responses I do get are from office staff and are slapdash. I was so concerned about this decline in service that I wrote a letter to Tim Gaspar himself bringing specific issues to his attention. And HE never responded.

I had to work with Gaspar Insurance for a few years because of a former Franchise Company's requirement. However, Gaspar Insurance over-insured our company and sold us policy coverage that was much higher than what we needed. They didn't provide any personalized service and even forced us to have coverage on a policy we didn't sign or agree to implement. As a result, that policy was sent to collections. Therefore, I strongly advise you not to use Gaspar Insurance if you have any other choices available.

In hindsight, I should have read some of their most recent reviews. I believe the higher reviews are older reviews, it skews the star rating. Get this, I reached out to them based on their YELP reviews prior to Thanksgiving!!! Today is 1/18/24 and I have ZERO from them! Initially it seemed like it was going to be a good experience. However, soon after Thanksgiving it all went BLANK! Literally blank! I was even happy to connect with Steven Crecion as he was related to a friend/colleague in my industry and had nothing but great things to say about the relative. I was asked to send some information for a quote and I sent literally within 30 minutes of the request prior to Thanksgiving! After that, I never heard back from anyone. On 12/6/23 I had to follow up to see if I could get an update, I mean it had been 14 days! I actually received a reply from Timothy Gaspar, and later that day from Steven apologizing for the poor communication. He proceeded to tell me he would call me in the afternoon, to this day I have yet to get a call LOL. Talk about poor communication. Fast forward to 12/21/23, again I had to reach out. Honestly at that point I don't know why I was still calling them, but again my instincts that Steven was like his relative was getting the better of me. This time AGAIN I received a reply from Mr. Gaspar. This time he told me, "Steve is out for the holidays and will be back..." Whatever, I said in my mind. He gave me an excuse that California Fair Plan was taking 2 months. This is BS, I will tell you why, I am RE & Mortgage Broker, a pretty successful one. And I order insurance quotes and evidence all the time and I have NEVER encountered this type of bad customer service!!! FINALLY, believe it or not Steve answered one of my emails on 1/3/24 just to tell me that he had submitted my application on 12/31/23 according to him! Whatever happened to the Thanksgiving submittal! By this time I had already reached out to my insurance broker I work with. I don't know why I simply didn't stick with him from the beginning! Shame on me, but more importantly, shame on GASPAR INSURANCE. Be careful with this company, maybe their auto department is better, but I wouldn't even use them for that! Timothy and more Steven, COMMUNICATE!!! Just some good advice.
