If I could I would leave zero stars. This is the absolute worst doctor I have ever come across. She was rude, she was insensitive and she was degrading. I came in with my puppy who woke up this morning very sick. She made zero effort to assist us. She was extremely cold the whole time and kept arguing with me about what could possibly be wrong with him, when I kept telling her I think he ate something he shouldn’t have she insisted that he just has worms which he does not. At one point she left the room and I heard her say to another coworker “if he has parvo virus get him out here I don’t want him in here” instead of doing her job and actually trying to see what’s wrong with my puppy she was ready to kick us out. She left the room for about 30 minutes claiming to “call the vet we took him to yesterday to get more information about him”. After 30 long minutes of waiting I finally couldn’t take it anymore as my puppy is in a life threatening state and she could not care less. We walked out of the room to find her sitting at the desk doing absolutely nothing and she said “I’m calling the vet right now”. AFTER 30 MINUTES???? We left immediately and took him somewhere else. While she starts yelling at me “this isn’t an emergency vet” what does not being an emergency vet have to do with checking if my puppy is alright? In the time that we were there absolutely nothing was done while time is being wasted and my puppy goes into a worse state. I am disgusted and so disappointed by this location. If you love your pet don’t come here.

My tiny dog Phyllis was suffering with skin allergies. No vet could figure out, they were saying environment and giving her allergy shots that did nothing. Dr. Downhill figured out it was internal. With the right meds and food she is feeling so much better. My vet of over 10 years passed away and I was looking for a similar small hospital that cares and I believe I found one. Yelp I just wanted to compliment my veterinarian, Dr. Jody Downhill. She treated my dog for over 18 years and finally we had to put her down. Dr. Downhill was warm, tender and compassionate especially during that last hour and a half. She cared for us as well as our dog. I would always recommend Dr. Downhill for anyone looking for a great veterinarian.

Worse Vet in town. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The front office does not understand how prescriptions are done or where they can go. You will spend more by going to them than anywhere else. Had an emergency that was EASILY avoidable with just a simple prescription. Nothing like steroids or anything classified. Took longer than a week to get nothing from them and had to go to a new vet to get his medication. I spoke with another Vet, who was amazing, they said they have heard terrible stories about this place and that I need to report my incident because they have heard to many stories like mine. They will punish a pet because they are too petty to do their job right.

The best thing about this place, is Dr. Jody Downhill.
The second best thing is, she's started to allow entry into the lobby. The caveats are, one person at a time, only with a mask. Small recompense for being able to be there with my girl, again.

Really knowledgeable and experienced Dr. What she says might not be what you expect to hear.but she is not going to take advantage or milk money out of you like other vets.very straightforward and honest and I loved that

This place is unbelievable and in a really bad way. Having to fix their mistakes has ruined my mental health. They refuse to send records for emergent cases that are actively dying and its upsetting. Don't go to this place. There are plenty of other doctors that will actually care about your animal.

You will search the entire United States and not find a better veterinarian than Dr. Downhill. She is 100% dedicated to her animals. I live in Santa Monica and make the drive to Woodland Hills because I know my precious dog is in competent CARING hands. I have had two emergencies and Dr Downhill has had me bring my dog in immediately. Sometimes, there might be a long wait, but that's probably because she is saving someone's adored animal. Highly recommend this Veterinary clinic!

Love Dr. Downhill! Our dog got attacked by an off-leash dog and had a puncture wound that Dr. Downhill treated so professionally and with such kindness. We are switching Vets because of her caring and kindness! I trust her completely!

I put up with this veterinarian for many years. Despite her being extremely rude, she's not the warm, fuzzy type. I hoped that she liked animals more than she liked people. Unfortunately, I don't think this is true because my poor dog has been sick and suffering and she refuses to send over the paperwork to the new vet. I decided to go to a new vet because I took my dog there. She has severe anxiety and we had to wait in the car for over an hour. I was not allowed to go into the building with her. The doctor said she was going to give her some IVs. I called back three hours later and the receptionist said they had gotten busy and she has still not gotten her IV. So my severely anxious dog is alone in a cage sick vomiting without any fluids. I called back and they tried to tell me that she had an IV but they needed to give her more fluids. And they assured me she was doing better. They told me to come and pick her up at 5:30. I arrived at 5:30 at 6:30 I got out of the car because I could feel my dogs anxiety. There was an elderly man standing outside of the clinic with me. Dr. D proceeded to come outside and yell at us for not being in our cars. The only reason she has patience is because she's considerably cheaper than a lot of veterinarians. I suppose she feels this gives her the right to treat people very poorly. I took my dog to a new vet a couple days later the experience was literally night and day. I got to go into the office with my dog. He told me the medication that downhill gave her was for diarrhea and that could be why she was still vomiting the medication up. My dog was so calm leaving the office. Usually when she leaves Dr. D's office she is a nervous wreck. Apparently Fallbrook veterinarian clinic is the only Clinic that refuses to send over paperwork. This clinic doesn't even have an email? How can you have a business in 2023 and not have an email? Apparently she plans to keep people out of her office permanently, taking advantage of the Covid rules. If this woman cannot be trusted to send over paperwork to another vet, when asked, how can she be trusted with your precious dog? I'm trying to find out if she tested my dog for pancreatitis. I have yet to get a response and it's been nearly 2 hours. The first request for paperwork was from my new vet and that was three days ago!!!!!
