This review is specific to their Dim Sum, which is offered daily. Overall food is good, the spicy wontons and chicken baos could use a little more seasoning. Recommend the Turnip Cake and Siu Mai. Attentive service, overall a quiet lunch spot.

I'm so sorry but I made a mistake about ordering dinner from The China Garden restaurant last Saturday. I had ordered from another Chinese restaurant and mistakenly left a review for the China Garden. If I had ordered dinner on Saturday night from China Garden, I probably wouldn't of had all the problems that I had at the other location again China Garden sorry for the mixup I do apologize.

Our Family just moved to this Woodland Hills area. I’ve been eat at different Chinese Restaurants before we found The China Garden. Compare with others this is the best food we had. The ambience is very welcoming and clean. We order honey walnut shrimp, String bean Szechuan sauce and some dim sum. The chicken bao is super good and soft. Shrimp Siu May taste wonderful. Those place our family new favorite to dine in. Will come back!

DO NOT EAT HERE - If I could leave a negative star review I would. They scam you here and charged everyone twice for the food we ate for a friend's birthday. Shame on you China Garden! Also only had one single server for the whole place and we waited for over an hour to put in our orders. Never eating here again.

I was so pleasantly surprised to find a no-nonsense Chinese place right here in the neighborhood that I'm going with 5 stars. Yes, there were some things that I could have changed, but overall, the food was great and I give extra points for some old school touches. No hot water in the bathroom was an issue. I like to wash my hands before I eat and found this to be very unpleasant...also made me wonder if there was no hot water in the kitchen for washing dishes. The decore was dated...who cares as long as the place is clean which it was. Big pluses. The tea was served in a pot for the whole table, and though white rice isn't automatic like it used to be, as least it was a portion for the whole table so that was nice too. We didn't have to ask for mustard and duck sauce...it was automatic, and so were the crispy noodles, even though they were the round ones from the box instead of the broad crispy noodles that are much more preferred, they still served their role in the soup. The courses: Of course, we ordered soup and apps, and the soup came out first which was a pleasant surprise. Hot and sour...needed a bit more sour but vinegar was on the table so that was easy. The spare ribs were large and well-scored on a bed of cabbage and hoisin sauce so there was lots of sauce for dipping. Then we ordered the mooshoo pork and entrées. The waiter who seemed like an owner, was smart enough to know that the mooshoo was supposed to be served as it's own course on it's own plates. That alone was enough to make this a 5 star review. He also made the roll ups, which was a nice touch. Now, I've gotten into the habit of not ordering entrees until after the apps are served simply because so many places just slam all the food down at once. But this place may be different, though I won't know until I try. That said, the portions were large and the quality and flavors were spot on. Some of the classics were missing, like moo goo gai pan and egg foo young, but I don't expect to see them much anymore and most places don't get the sauce right anyway. Still in all, I look forward to trying more of this menu with more of the family now that we have a Sunday night Jewish Chinese place right around the corner.

Dined there on 1/10/2024 and ordered 3 dishes, including orange chicken. It was hard as a rock and we couldn't eat it. I told the server, who proceeded to poke it with a fork and then returned later with the check. Never notified the manager, or offered to replace it. The place is completely empty of customers and it's no surprise why.

This is one of my top Chinese restaurants in the valley! I recently came here with my boyfriend for a little date and the ambiance was really great. The service was good but the food was amazing. We ordered the xiao long bao, the broth was amazing and the pork was flavorful. We also had the green bean chicken in szechwan sauce and it was cooked perfectly. I'm definitely coming back here again to bring my family!

After a long drive down from NorCal (extra breaks for the lil baby), we didn't feel like going out to eat so we searched for some Chinese Food on DoorDash and came across the China Garden. The food came on time with the bag stapled, but there were no utensils provided. The food was pretty good! We ordered the egg fried rice, sweet and sour pork, honey walnut shrimp, & orange chicken. The fried rice was a bit bland- could use more flavor, but when you eat it with the other items, it's good. The honey walnut shrimp was coated well with the sauce, but the walnuts seemed like they were tossed in at the end because they were plain. The orange chicken did not have any hints of orange flavor. The sweet and sour pork was the star, great flavor and texture!

So glad I found this place! I'm from east coast and this reminds of the classic Chinese American places there PLUS they have some pretty good dim sum. What could you ask? I have only done take out but the dining room is a little dated but open, spacious and clean. I wouldn't mind eating there at all if I had the time. Definitely check this place outParking: Lot in back
