We booked a room here for my mom and dad to visit us for a few days. They had no rubber bath mat for inside a very slippy tub until the second day. The Keurig only worked for a day. They had to go and ask for new towels the second day. The bedside lamp had a short in it. The bed skirt had old blood dripping down the side. Paint peeling from the bathroom, nowhere to put anything extra in the bathroom. No management on duty, even if after 9am when they say they will be. The continental breakfast included bagels and little packets of cream cheese. The container the cream cheese were in was absolutely filthy disgusting. This entire place is horrible, unkept, and unworthy of anyone's money.

Very nice. Beautiful lake views. Very nice and friendly staff. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Love this place. Quiet, quaint, like a honeymoon suite. Has a nice jacuzzi next to the shower. Comfortable bed and clean.

Came in looking for a room on Hallowe'en night. Called posted number as there was no one in the office. Smiling young woman shows up and did such a wonderful job accommodating us. Room was clean - place was wonderfully quiet. She was delightful- couldn't ash for much more.

Great little inn for a short stay. It was clean and had coffee/tea too. The place was very quiet and we enjoyed our stay. Just expect the wifi to be not that great given the remote location but everything else was just fine. Really close to Kernville.

A quaint place to stay although a lot of stuff was worn and old. Fitted sheets didn't fit the mattress well. One tv didn't have cable. Did have a few problems when we checked in. No shampoo in one bathroom and little in the other. Heat lamp didn't work in our bathroom. Refrigerator in other room froze the sodas on the middle shelf (one even exploded). Staff was helpful though. Filled shampoo dispensers and replaced bulb. Answered questions we had.

Small rooms but clean. They do have mini fridge, kuerig for coffee. Wifi, beds are very firm. View of lake is nice. Nice staff.

Great place to stay if you are visiting the Wofford Heights/Isabella/Kernville area. Rooms are clean and stocked with all of the amenities. The grounds are clean and well kept. They even have a nice place to sit and have a barbecue! Staff is wonderful and personable as well.

Rooms are comfortably big, & very clean. Some rooms have a private bathroom, separate from the bedroom, with a jacuzzi tub, & a separate, good sized, shower. There's a vanity area, outside the bathroom, that has studio lights, above long mirror, sink, hair dryer, & a plug for charging your devices. Best part 4 me, there's also a single cup Keurig, with coffee, sugar, creamer, provided. Good air conditioner/heater, in bedroom. A good amount of towels, & bathmats. Very comfortable bed, with plenty of soft pillows. All makes for a comfortable stay. Not cheap, but fair price, for what u get.

03/05/2022. Great place to stay very close to Lake Elizabeth, although we found the Kern river is fantastically beautiful & we woke up to light snowing this morning w/a 36° weather... new towels in motel, clean, cute & dainty room. Heads up no shampoo or conditioners, or body soap, bring your own. Motel's staff is very accommodating we didn't have shampoo & conditioner and they generously poured some for us to use ;)). Will stay here again & again, we loved it. If you need produce don't go to vons go to Grocery Outlet, great deals on a lot of foods & lots of organic choices too!

This is a very clean, neat little motel. It has no frills, what is does have is a feeling a safety, one of the cleanest places I've ever stayed, a bbq grill and little gathering place. I'll go back here if I stay in Wofford Heights again!

Very cute! Barewood Inn and Suites is a very cute and clean place to stay. Everyroom has a good view of the hills and it is dog friendly. It is close to downtown Kernville and camping spots. It is also very near the river for great fishing spots. The receptionist in the front was very kind and friendly and a fan of The Office. She made us feel very welcomed. We will try to stay there again when back in Kernville!
