If you live in the rural areas of Yolo or Solano county and require fast and reliable internet, Cal/Net/Winters Broadband is the best in the area. Ian and Jeff, are excellent at getting you set up and answering any questions you may have.

I need good quality internet services at our rural home and Winters Broadband does a good job of providing them. I have used them for over 10 years and like them.

My internet is glitching again, so I'm posting a rant review. I pay $144 per month for 12mbps of internet, an amount I increased due to COVID and working from home, and right now I have 2mbps download speed. This happens quite often, usually on the weekends when there is nobody to answer the phone, but sometimes on the weekdays when I rely on the internet for work and school. One thing that really put me off was that my bill remained the same during the fire evacuation and week long power outage... my internet was literally unusable and Winters Broadband still charged me the exact same amount "because it's in the contract language that nobody reads and is ethically questionable but their lawyers can argue it in court, if anyone ever takes it that far." Way to look out for the community during troubled times, Winters Broadband.

Called to inquire about getting WiFi to a property, the woman I talked to was incredibly rude and condescending. I was just looking for a reason to why it couldn't be installed and I was met with a short, aggressive tone. I have never written a review before, but I was so shocked by how unprofessional and unkind this lady was to me that I felt compelled to warn others. Avoid these people, try Omsoft or Hughesnet for professional and kind customer service jfc

They are trying, and are responsive. Very pricy for what you get, but "beggers can't be choosers" when one lives in the country... Jeff goes out of his way to be helpful. Speed is average, but not poor. The overall review is 3 stars, but up to 4 secondary to Jeff's help...

Still have terrible service, lose signal on rainy and foggy days starting to think about trying satellite, it's almost 2020 and we still have garbage internet in the rural united stated I lived in a 3rd world country that had wireless internet in rural area that worked better than this lousy service does. Wish there was a better option available that force these guys to either step it up or concede.

They constantly have problems, slow internet speeds that go up and down but we never get what we pay for (4.5mbs), we usually get half or less(2-1.mbs, but it’s not uncommon for it to go much lower) . In the past three weeks our internet goes down frequently and we can’t do anything on the web. We’ve sent several email and made several calls to fix our internet, but they seem to not care at all. We had a guy come out and arrange our dish to get internet, and it got up to 6mbs which they said we can get no more than 4.5 out here, which we don’t even get. Then the guy made it so we don’t get what we payed for by moving the dish. As am I writing this, I am using data (which is a hell of a lot better) because our internet doesn’t work for the second time today. We don’t even call them anymore because all they say is “it’s on our side”. It’s not on our side if we can’t even stream Netflix or have someone download one thing. This company seems to not care about their customers and sadly it’s the only service we get. They are a very bad internet provider and I do not recommend them at all
(EDIT) flash forward we’ve had sever bad internet problems for 4 weeks now. So bad I can stream consistently on a phone. If someone turns on Netflix on the tv, say goodbye to anyone else using the internet. They said our “problem” was some treetops was blocking our signal path for quite some time, but on windy days and non-windy days, the internet acts the same. They want to Charge us to move our dish higher up on our house, but it’s been 3 weeks and the guy they were going to send hasn’t come out. We’ve called about this and have had no responses. Thanks for the horrid service. (EDIT) now its even worse, with our average speed being 0.5mbs to 0.2mbs and the internet is “good” if it’s at 1.0mbs or above. We are paying for 6.0mbs. Get it together winters broadband, it seems like you don’t care about your customers. I have proof of 2 weeks worth of Speedtests and the highest it’s been is 2.4mbs with 1200ms worth of jitter. It’s been the worst internet for weeks, to the point where I can’t even access any browser. We contacted you and you did what you always do and blamed it on us. Get it together

I have read the other reviews for WB and really feel that they are unfair. Compared to the AT&T service we used to have, WB are wonderful! They are a small local company and so have all the difficulties that small local companies have to survive these days. But they do their best to accommodate our needs out here in the country and I am not dissatisfied. If you want fast streaming internet with no issues ever, move into town. But I bet they have problems too. My service works fine most of the time, I rarely have to call them and when I do, they are quick to respond and help resolve my issue.

My experience is that they are very responsive and have been pleased with the connections and speeds available for our home office. If you want to upload large videos...that can take a while, but it does get done. They are prompt about coming out to check on problems and manage their managed routers well. Fair prices for product installation. Wish the monthly fees were a little bit lower...but overall feel that I get good value and service for the money spent. We do have a pretty clear path between our house and the nearest tower--so that does help with signal.

this could quite possibly be the worst internet connection worldwide. we get internet for ten minutes before it shuts down completely for about an hour. as of the date of posting this review (8/19/19) we have had absolutely awful connection speeds/connection for two and a half weeks. we have ran multiple speed tests on different websites and they all come out terrible. we can't stream, play games, and sometimes, we can't even connect. WHAT SO EVER. you would think for an internet company, they would ACTUALLY provide internet. I would definitely NOT RECOMMENDED. i can't wait until we get new internet.

For this past year this service has delivered almost flawlessly. We are getting what was promised and it seems that they are executing very well. They had some troubles a year or so ago, but they have bounced back nicely and the service itself is excellent. Their worthless managed router costs them a star, but otherwise - good stuff!

Their internet is really bad. They have unreliable service and can’t meet a good price for their service. I would give a 0 star if I could.
