“There are no rooms here as it is a RV resort. The staff are all very nice and the grounds are kept quite clean. Lots of big shade trees make this a very desirable location to park your RV for the winter months. It’s a short drive to groceries and gas. They had a food truck here today.”

“I had a great stay at the Radisson. The rooms were clean and the people seemed friendly. The restaurant had one guy working as a server for dinner on a Saturday so service took a little while. Every table was dirty except 3 or so. He did the best he could. Not his fault being short staffed. Sunday breakfast was great. Every thing was clean and the pans were switched constantly to ensure quality food. I would definitely recommend this place.Noteworthy details: Close to everything in Yuma but tucked away enough to not hear the city life.”

“Amazing hotel !! The rooms were clean, spacious, and just what we needed! Normally in hotels I don’t feel clean or fresh, but here I was so comfortable and felt great! The breakfast was amazing, and had alot of options, the nice lady who was in charge of breakfast was so kind and helped us out with my toddler being fussy! We will definitely stay here again.Food & drinks: Great breakfast available, a lot of options”

“For Yuma, this was really nice ?. We even got to use the hot tub, which was amazing after working a long weekend. And you cannot forget about the breakfast. One thing I love about Hampton is the free hot breakfast. They had red velvet waffles!!!Nearby activities: This place is near the Colorado River. There are plenty of things to do here like walking historic downtown Yuma, going to the Ocean to Ocean bridge, going for a hike in West Wetlands Park, or taking a tour at the Yuma Territorial State Prison.”

“Nicely located in downtown Yuma walking distance to restaurants, pubs, and overlooks the Colorado River. Staff is friendly, attentive, and helpful. I visit here frequently every few months, and I only have good things to say.”

“Rooms were comfortable, but very bare minimum. I was staying for a wedding, and they handled the vast number of us with grace and decorum, however many of my party members expressed a lack of working TV's / remotes in their rooms, and that is one of the few amenities in the rooms. The staff was kind and full of hospitality, for the most part -- although I had some trouble in the casino with security, dropped quickly -- but unfortunately it feels like a once vibrant hotel that is riding on their former glory. But for less than $100 a night, I can't complain too much. The bed was comfortable and the room was guest temp controlled.Food & drinks: The coffee was poor and tasted old -- likely they don't clean the pots often. However, they cook excellent breakfast in the "Artisan Grille".The steak was juicy and flavorful, even overcooked -- I asked for MidRare and received MedWell -- however the steak was still soft and tender that I didn't have to send it back! And they made the eggs perfectly. Portions were excellent for the price too. And the orange juice was delicious.”

“We loved our 3 night stay! Clean & quiet! Courteous staff & all necessary amenities! Beautiful grounds (Bougainvillea was amazing!)Breakfasts across the street were excellent! Pool, WIFI, laundry, excellent location for our dental appointments in Los Algodones!”

“What a refreshing experience! When customer service nowadays is so rare, this hotel was a joy to stay at. The staff is friendly and not only helpful, but looking to be a help. Margaret especially who was a breakfast person (sorry don't know her official title) took the time to talk to each person she encountered. The front desk also was very helpful to us. The room was clean and the pool was wonderful after a long day. I would only ask for one thing. There isnt conditioner in the shower. But I just went to the store and bought one. We would definitely stay here again.Safety: We never felt unsafe at all, even at night.”

“I just stayed there for one night driving to Dallas from Los Angeles and it was a decent stay. It’s at a great location also next to the Holiday Inn. The savings between the two wasn’t that much so I probably would’ve prefer the Holiday Inn since it has a pool and a hot tub and The bed was a “queen” but it was small and not comfortable. but other than that the rooms were clean and it was quiet so a B+ overall. only one place to eat walking distance from hotel”

“Lovely couple checked me in. The rooms were recently renovated. It is a basic room with a comfy bed, surprisingly spacious and most importantly - CLEAN. It is not too far but far enough away from the interstate, close to coffee and food. A great bargain and great service.”

“Our swim team came here to stay from Colorado for a competition. Out of all the hotels we’ve stayed at on our travel trips, we, as coaches, agreed that this is one of the best! The service was outstanding. The staff is always going above and beyond. Someone was cleaning at all times! We were highly grateful for Anissa and Alanis, who were patient and hospitable with our entire group, including the kids. Hopefully, we can return next year to stay for the 2025 competition.Food & drinks: For breakfast they served more than your typical continental breakfast. They had eggs, bacon, bagels, cream cheese, bread, yogurt, cereal, and more!”

“My room was very hot and humid. Told the desk and switched room immediately. It's not the best place, one of the stairwell doors looks like a victim of teenagers wrestling. My toilet lever gets stuck open unless I jiggle it but the bed is clean and soft and the AC works well.Food & drinks: Lots of restaurants nearby, a mall too”

“With a name like "Royal Motor Inn" I was expecting a place like the Cozy Cone Motel from the movie "Cars"... the motel with the cones? That's literally what I was expecting so thus I was a little let down when the buildings were not shaped like Orange traffic cones. But hey you know what they say.”

“Great friendly staff. Property was immaculate. Over the last couple of years many Wyndham properties standards have been lowered dramatically and we are more cautious of staying at their brands these days. This property is what all others should strive for. We will be back and we will recommend highly to anyone coming to Yuma.”

“Rooms are newer, the bed is very comfortable and they have great pillows! The AC works great, easy to use. The kitchen is the best part with a fridge, freezer and fully stocked with plates, cookware etc, really wonderful for a long term stay. There's a great. pool and the gym is well stocked and clean. The breakfast has hot eggs and hot oatmeal as well as other typical items and fresh fruit. The staff were very accommodating. There's a great walking path nearby that takes you along the river and up to the old prison, lots of historic things nearby as well as downtown which has several restaurants. Great for long term stays.”

“Clean spacious room. Everything was good. I couldn't get into the pool area cause the gate wasn't open, and I couldn't get it unlocked. The only negative for me besides the pool was my room didn't have a working a/c, so had to open a window.”

“I always choose this place when I'm making a quick stop in Yuma on my way to Los Algodones. The prices are always extremely reasonable and they always keep their (nice size) rooms immaculate and clean, which is not usually the case when it comes to low budget motels. It appears to be family-owned and they are very nice people and never refuse when I ask for a noon check out (as opposed to 11:00 a.m).I'll continue to choose the El Rancho anytime I'm in the Yuma area.I highly recommend it.”

“This motel is in a perfect location. Plenty of dining options, gas stations and literally on the side of the interstate. Martha was very friendly and helpful when I arrived. The room was clean and quiet despite being next to the freeway. The only problem I had was that the mattress wasn’t very comfortable.”

3.5 Good50 Reviews

“The rooms are not new or fancy. They are scrupulously clean! The place is quiet and well maintained. I felt comfortable and safe though I was a woman traveling alone. The only thing that could be better was the mattress, though I realize it's impossible to please everyone on that score.”

“I love the pet friendliness of this hotel. I am traveling with my two pups and the walking trails to the dog park with plenty of potty bags/trash bins along the way are such a stress relief. The rooms are nice, the motion detector was a little freaky but I guess it's efficient for energy use.Nearby activities: Dog park close by”

“I'm a Best Western rewards member and needed a room after driving nonstop from Salem, OR to Yuma, AZ down I-5 through LA county - in 18 straight hours with a PomChi. I had hoped to use my points but hotels use surge pricing and I did not have enough points. I drove by the property prior to checking in and thought, "oh my, I think I wasted money." What's the old saying, do not judge a book by its cover? It's true for this location. I initially chose a king room but needed a first level due to bad knees and the pooch. When I arrived, I was exhausted from trying to exit the OR & northern CA passes prior the late February series of killer snow storms. The gal at the front desk was very helpful and I told her I'd take any room she had on the first floor. It was still morning when I arrived and I was towing an RV as well and needed space to park safely. But the staff let me check in hours early so I could wind down from my drive and feet that felt like they were vibrating. She was very helpful and got me situated quickly. It was not a king room but a family style 2 double bed room. It was super easy to access near my RV & truck, and it had plenty of coffee for a pick-me-up. That's unique to find a well stocked room, stateside. After my initial impression I was genuinely surprised to find a well cleaned room with no pube hairs in the sheets, sink, or tub! There were more pillows than I needed which is not often the case with hotel chains. The AC was wall controlled and easy to use. Though next to the interstate it was relatively quiet but to be fair (#LetterKenny) I do sleep with ear plugs. My PomChi, however, is hypersensitive to sound and she was not bothered or scared. That's a plus! The bed was comfortable, there was HBO available on the television, and MSNBC! I was totally surprised to find MSNBC as most hotels are too corporate to share any news except the falsehoods and conspiracy theories shared via FOX outlets. Thank you, BW Yuma! Yet another star for having a more broad lens from which to view this world via media outlets. I could not get the tv to aircast though as it must be on a specific scannable WiFi, not my portable WiFi. And I could find no access to HDMI's for my AppleTV box on the remote under "sources." The access available was USB only. Which, accessing the ports would be difficult. I am not used to hotel keys that demag while in the sleeve when next to a cell phone. Naturally I blew out both keys. When I went to the front desk there was another staff, male, and he too was excellent and understanding. I was more embarrassed I blew the mag on the keys and he assured me "it happens." I felt seen, safe, and comfortable. That's a plus. I'm thinking this area is in "high season" so prices are higher than other Best Westerns in the PNW and more reward points are needed to get a room during high season. There was also a car and tattoo show in town which may have boosted prices some. Overall, the prices are fair for high season and capacity due to the shows in town. I need to stay that I own a stake in a 5-Diamond resort, complete with personal grocery shopper, personal butler, open bar fridge, and plunge pool/hot tub on the deck. It says a lot about this location that I would return or send friends here. Thank you staff for making the stay comfortable and for your hospitality. You served this Corporate Citizen brand over and above expectations. Worth a mention: the cleaning staff was helpful. It's a big property and finding the front desk was a haul up a hill or stairs. The male staff assigned to the building I stayed in was patient with me and courteous. Another staff, Louis, provided me some guidance on things to do in town. Again, over and above expectations!”

“Clean rooms, great staff. Above all Quiet Nights. U can hear street traffic but turn on fan on and that solves it. I didn't hear my neighbors in middle of the night. (that's what counts). If its under $100, I will definitely stay again.”

“The first time I stayed there was over a decade ago. Run by a Gujarati family, the entire family is at work there. If you want a quick coffee and a donut, it offers you that in the morning. Back then, I stayed five nights for $150! What a deal. Back then, most small motels around the 24th were in the $30-$50 range. Now you pay at least double that if not triple. Then again, in Yuma, real estate prices have gone up by that much.As they say, in real estate three things are important: Location, location and location. If you are visiting Yuma for the regional medical center, this is as good as it gets. It is very centrally located. All sorts of eating options are within a few hundred yards.Nearby activities: Hospital zone.Walkability: Excellent.Noteworthy details: Pool.”

“The rooms were clean and organized, there was toiletries available. The bathroom was clean. A little out dated looking, but I expected that for the price, but I never would have guessed it was a Ramada hotel from the inside. From the looks of the inside. There place to hang your clothes? The pool is very nice. Lastly and my biggest issue, I notified the front desk, that the TV was cutting out on Friday, saying no signal on thecl screen. On Saturday I decided to stay in for the day. I dealt with poor reception all day. It wasn't fixed, nor did anyone follow up with me. Maybe they could have, change the TV or even relocate me to a different room. Overall it's not a bad hotel.”

“We wound up stranded in Yuma while traveling and chose this location to stay last minute on a whim. It was a pleasant surprise. The customer service was phenomenal and Anulfo was very patient with us as we checked in really tired and frustrated. We booked for the incorrect date as it was midnight and he fixes the situation putting our minds at ease. The room was clean and updated. The AC worked a little too well. We were cold as we slept, so cold we didn’t want to get out of bed to turn the temp up. All in all, I would stay here again and highly recommend others to. We only stayed one night and didn’t eat breakfast or use any other amenities so we can’t speak on that.”

“This Howard Johnson was in a prime location of being right in the middle of everything. Our room was extremely clean. Check in was quick and easy Danielle at the front was friendly and helpful. But they should not say they have breakfast because it was toast an apple and water. We choose hotels with breakfast as we are a family on the go and do not want added expenses. This was extremely disappointing. Pool was green, but they did have a maintenance man out there repairing and cleaning it up. We did check out and ended up needed anther night due to a storm and we asked for the same room. The sheets were changed and room was clean. So overall for a budget hotel it was good. Now that I looked at the pictures I see that they did have dry oatmeal and a granola bar”
