Staff were kind and handled new pups well. Both of our pups needed nail clippings, we decided to do a spa morning for them including a bath for both. I was hesitant about leaving my 7-month old pups with them. I was told they did great and both pups look and smell great. Thank you!

I’m sadden to give a bad review to this spot I used to bring my previous maltese for a groom. I was denied service for a new pet!!
According to management they do not accept siblings, whatever that means.
**My previous maltese passed away and I haven’t been to Dog & Hydrant for a year and a half.**
However, I called a couple weeks ago requesting a new appointment for a new pet. Asked for my
info. and asked if I had been there before, which I have. I was placed on hold right after my response and she was going to check in with her manager.
Shortly after, she got back to me saying they actually can’t book an appointment for a new pet because they are siblings.
I never said they were siblings. And I also told them my previous pet had passed away a year ago. This is a complete new pet.
They denied me service and told me that are not accepting new clients.
In regards to the “no shows” I never had an issue getting rescheduled. I always kindly informed when I needed to reschedule. I do have record of being contacted on 5/12/21 and the groomer that day cancelling our appointment because she was the only groomer available at that time and couldn’t see us. Which was very disappointing and I did speak to the owner and had offered a free grooming. In which I was polite and respectfully denied.
This being said, I no longer recommend this place. As they did not even attempt to make any accommodations for a new pet.

I’ve been taking my dog here for over five years, the staff is so friendly, they truly love the dogs they groom . I have never had any issues that weren’t immediately addressed. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a dog groomer.

My Aussie girl enjoyed a spa day here last week and she looks gorgeous! I was impressed that the groomer took notes and was able to point out a behavior that cued me to seek an appt with my vet. The vet confirmed that she's got a knee issue AND complimented the grooming that D&H had done.

I had a very old German Shepherd who had been picked up roaming the streets of LA. He looked like he had been roaming the streets. He also had issues with bowel control. When I got him back, he looked like a show dog. He was beautiful. They did a truely amazing job.I had a Ridgeback that hated having his nails done. He was very large and would lay on his side rather than going back to the salon area. They came out to the lobby and trimmed his nails with me there. The groom was very fast and all went well. Love these people

We were loyal customers to Dog & Hydrant and the grooming is fantastic however as our sweet dog aged our interaction into senior with the manager was pretty awful. We understood that in his older age he could not stand for longer periods of time for grooming and hopefully the grooming time would not have him waiting to long to be serviced. She attempted to charge me $25 more without any consult and when confronted let us know it may not be a good idea to bring our senior dog in any longer. I would have been fine with paying a bit extra if added assistance was needed. Again, groomers are fantastic but the manager's "bedside manner" towards senior dogs lacks compassion and tact.

We have been going to Dog & Hydrant for many years now and as my dog gets older (10) he gets a bit more timid about going in, yesterday was pretty hard. But as soon as he saw his favorite groomer Sam all his worries were gone. Not only did she do an excellent job as always, she sent him home with a new toy and a special treat. We are so thankful for the entire staff at Dog and appreciate their excellent service!

Great place! Had a full service grooming done today for my dog. He has separation anxiety and they were very calm and patient taking him back. I love the grooming they did very detailed and asked a lot of questions to get exactly what I wanted. Highly recommend them and already have more grooming visits scheduled.

Took my dog today and am so pleased! They are so understanding as my dog experiences seperation anxiety and they came out to meet him by getting on the floor. I felt so comfortable leaving him with them, they were calm and so relaxed that my dog was less stressed. I love his hair cut and he smells wonderful. I have booked him for every 8 weeks. Thank you for taking your time and loving my boy as much as I do.

What is not to love? The store is amazing and carries everything. If you ask for a product they will search high and low to find you what you need or get it for you. And my puppies have never been so clean. The ladies here are super sweet. All locally owned and kind to the core.

I would give no stars if I could. We have a Tibetan Terrier one year old puppy. We had him groomed late December. We told them we wanted a traditional cut. When my wife picked him up they shaved him as they said he was to matted. $151.00 to shave him with a $10.00 tip. Tip they did not deserve. They told my wife we needed to get a happy pill from our vet for next cut. 45 years of owning a pet and first time for this request. We gave them a second chance. Made an appointment by 1/27 at 11:30am. This time for a bath, glands and toenail trim. They left a message at noon asking if we gave him that pill. He was not getting a cut just the bath and trim. They told me to come and pick him up. After voicing my concerns the owner said he was wet from drooling. He was drenched from his face and his whole front. They must have sprayed him with a spray bottle.Just the facts...I will not go back and I feel it's my duty to tell my story. Consumers have a choice. It's a shame the owner groomers are running their business. Be careful.
