I truly love going here and supporting local businesses. They're conveniently located and usually have every last-minute item I need for cooking, especially Mexican dishes. They're also Vet friendly. However, the produce section can be spotty and I sometimes need to drive further for something fresh.

My friend and I grabbed much from castañedas taqueria. I order a Carne Asada Torta and she ordered the steak fries. She had no issues with her order. Her steak Fries were delicious and well put together. However, the torta was such a disappointment and not worth the price I paid for. The food was not great quality. The ends of the tomatoes and brown lettuce was put on the torta. No mayo or avocado was put like other typical tortas around the county. No flavor and way overpriced for the quality. Could have been better.

This place is horrible. Dirty establishment. Unsanitary food and kitchen. Management does not care about conditions of the product. Cashier are incompetent and rude. Find a better place to spend your money and get your groceries from. Do NOT trust this business...

I was famished and I told the man at the register it was my first time in the store. He graciously walked me over to the place where you can order freshly cooked food. I had a great chicken taco! I'm not really sure what it is...a restaurant with groceries or a grocery store with an area to sit down and enjoy delicious food, made to order. But it's neat and clean. The shelves were tidy and organized. Very pleasant experience. I will go again.

Tucked into the back of Castaneda's market is their diner. Not much of an atmosphere but...WOW!!..the food was delicious. Be sure to give it a try; you won't be disappointed.

Castenada's has always been my go to for Christmas Tamales, rice and their salsas, guacamole. They offer very authentic Mexican dishes and have a wonderful bakery. The only problem, like many other businesses is that they were short staffed at the counter and it took quite a while to get service to get my items.

This place reminds me of Lola's market, but without all the grumpy workers. I love getting their Mexican bread. It is fresh and so delicious with a nice cup of hot chocolate ( hot coffee works too but I don't drink coffee). They have so many Mexican products at decent prices. They've got a little restaurant where you can order daily specials, burritos and tacos. For what they charge, they definitely give you a good quantity of food. They've got the meat department as well that offers fresh cuts of meats and fish. The butcher is always so friendly and helpful. They've got many Mexican postres such as arroz con leche, flan, tres leeches cakes, and s good selection of Mexican sweet breads. Everything I've tasted is delicious and has me coming back on a weekly basis.

I don't typically like pan dulce.. it's often dry or dense. My wife brought some home this past weekend and it was the best I'd ever had. Better than Mexico City even. Sweet, light, and buttery. From the conchas to the cuernos.. it was all delicious. Thought we'd gotten too much- but it was gone in less than 24 hours. Hands off to the bakers!

Maybe the worst Mexican food I ever had. Not even the corn tortillas were good after being heated in the Microwave

This is a great get groceries, breakfast, lunch or dinner, and find ingredients and products that you might not find elsewhere. For example, they almost always have the small net bags with those perfect-sized avocados. I like to make salsa verde and they always have enough green tomatoes. The deli has fresh salsas and cooked chickens. Great meat dept (even tho I'm vegan I can see it's good quality), beautiful postres too. Very good prices on everything. It's fun to grab a meal there and the cooks will customize for my vegan preferences. It's also nice that the owner, Jose Castaneda, is often on site. Checkout staff are totally bilingual and tolerate me practicing Spanish when I check out. Big recommendation.
