Great place for restful camping. Fishing. Boat rentals. 3 campgrounds. Dog friendly. No restaurant. Small grocery store. Nice cement bathrooms with separate showers. Playground. Windy in the afternoon. Lots of birds and some coyotes. Day use: $6 per person, $10 per fishing person, $2 per dog.

The park itself is really nice. I would recommend Lake Skinner to anyone for camping and hiking, lots of fun.We spent the entire day fishing, and we tried everything, but we caught nothing. There were four of us and every bait and lure you can think of, nothing.Playground: Nice placeRestrooms: Clean and well kept.Dog-friendliness: Just make sure you pickup after your dog. Nobody likes to step in that.Picnic area: Nice, clean, beautiful.

One of my family’s favorite camping spots…you feel like your further away in the “wilderness” than you really are.

I really liked the remote feel of this place. There were many little trails to go walking on. Even though I didn't make use of the park area, it looked very nice and clean. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.Playground: Well maintainedRestrooms: Cleaned regularly and kept well stocked.Dog-friendliness: Lots of grassy areas to play and do business at.

We really enjoyed our stay at Lake Skinner. We stayed in campground A site 101 and it was a perfect spot. It’s at the end of the line, has two trees for cover and you have an unobstructed view of the hills and mountains. The site was larger than we expected and mostly level. Our neighbors for the weekend were respectful and not too loud past 8pm. We did not do any fishing or boating so I can’t comment on that but the hiking trail loop was nice for walking our dogs. We both enjoyed how close it was to wine country and could be back during off season considering the reviews posted about noisy campers during the on season at the lake.

Winter is the perfect time to camp at Lake Skinner. Campgrounds were sparsely populated. We had plenty of privacy & quiet. Miles & miles of trails & roads to bike. We found that we had chosen to camp during coyote mating season. They sang day & night. We saw a few too. Kept our dog close. Will definitely go again.

Went for New Years. Had a great time. Beautiful sunrise (watch the balloons during morning coffee) and sunsets. Definitely will be back.

Beautiful well organized and well-kept big area with big spaces. We're in 41" 5th wheel. Pull through spot with fire pit and picnic table. Stunning lake (no swimming-it's for drinking water)Saw kids splash area, great for walks, heard birds, coyotes, saw plenty of ducks. Went into old town Temecula for dinner?
