“I came here after I had gotten two terrible quotes at different places nearby. I didn't want to sell at that point, I was demoralized, but I had to take my girl to work and I had no gas money. I gave up and decided to take anything at the next closest place, that's when I arrived here. I entered and was instantly nicely greeted and asked a couple of questions like why I wanted to sell which no other place had even bothered to ask, I explained my situation to him and he truly tried to understand, he had already given me a quote but right before I left the shop he gave me extra money and a two dollar bill for good luck I couldn't help leave his shop crying he had doubled the last quote I had received, he saved my Christmas Eve I called my mom crying there is still good people out there. I would recommend this place over any shop in the LBC! I'm telling you this is the place.”
“Never knew this place was here until today when I had to get a repair for my chain! I googled it and went. I was greeted by a young gentleman who was so courteous and so nice to me! Great customer service! It was sad that they could not repair my chain but what he did do was take the time to refer me to another location nearby that would be able to assist me with my repair! Before I moved from San Pedro to San Diego, I made several purchases from this place and was always given a fair deal.My first purchase was a Nintendo Switch at the beginning of last year. CIB for under $250.My second and third purchase were two Citizen watches. A Blue Angel's Skyhawk and a Blackhawk for $200.I made a couple other purchases several other items from this place and never felt like I got taken for a ride or ripped off.My favorite purchase was a "New" Nintendo 3DS (for those not in the know, "New" Nintendo 3DS is not referring to the condition but this is the actual name Nintendo gave to the version of the 3DS with the thumb stick or "nub" and larger screen). The one guy that works there with the Russian accent sold it to me for $120. At the time these were only maybe half a year old. He said the price was the price because it was dirty and no one showed interest in buying it.Up until last year some time, I believe that there were three people who work there. The only person I ever really did business with was the older Russian guy.My recommendation: talk to the Russian if you want a deal.”

“This place is like home. I’ve been coming here for a long time now. Every time I come I get treated like family. I recently needed a $345 dollar loan. The item I brought was a small gold chain and junior told me he can do $315. I explained to him that I really needed that extra $30 so that I can pay my phone bill and a few other bills. I was gonna get overdraft fees and I can’t have that with everything else going on. He understood and felt my pain. He gave me the $345 like I asked. I don’t write reviews very often but I really wanted to thank Compton pawn shop and Junior personally. I really appreciate you guys. You always have my back in tough situations. This is for real!”
