ILWU CU is a horrible place to bank with. They will randomly block your card with the excuse "there's a lot of fraud going on" which is ridiculous if I haven't reported my card lost or stolen. You have to speak to a representative to have it unlocked so if this happens to you on a weekend or after hours, you're SOL. The majority of the employees are very unprofessional, not the kind of people you want to deal with when it comes to your hard earned money. Definitely not a good place to put the bulk of your money.

Went into the office today to add on and I was approached by the receptionist and another employee both were very rude . No customer service at all . Sad how I come from a long line of family down here and to be treated with du j rudeness is crazy . I do not recommend this place after today . What a disappointment

This place used to be awesome, but working with Keira on hey Carvana loan was a nightmare.. it took two weeks and a hard inquiry on my credit that cost me six points. I was told that I was pre-approved and no formal application was necessary. I did ask to add $800 to a $50,000 loan, and didn't think it was a big deal. I even emailed her and told her that I would pay the difference if it was a problem? And she never read the email. It stalled for 2 days and Kira said "I needed to come out of pocket with more money".. very professional! I had to reorder my car three times due to her delays and failures to respond back to emails. When I finally confronted her by phone with the delays she said it was my fault for making changes and that I am not her only customer and that she went above and beyond for me, really? Just asked her to do her job. I canceled the transaction and will wait for someone who appreciates my business more than the ILWU Credit Union .. they are not the only financial institution either!

My father passed away last month and this credit union has been everything BUT helpful. They called me to let me know they would be taking money out of my dads account to pay off his car that was financed through the credit union. Ok I get it, we need to pay it, but they didn't even give me any options whatsoever. In an already stressful time, they took what little money we had available and to top it off, froze his accounts so that we couldn't access any of it for end of life expenses. Then they request documents but when I called to go in and take care of everything (close several accounts and move the money into another account) they let me know that I wouldn't be able to because they only have tellers open and that they'd take copies and have to do everything over the phone or email. Again, I get it we are in covid times but holy hell they aren't willing to work with loyal members of over 15 years!! This is ridiculous. Their service has been horrible and they've been so unhelpful during a difficult time for our family.

Very rude if you don’t want to do your job get a new one been a member 18 years from day one called to get preapproved auto loan I was denied because I have no credit according to them I’ve had three signature loans and one auto loan thru credit union and I have no credit history

Been with this bank since 2004. Last 2 years been so horrible with receptionist, ever since local 63A ilwu Union consumed the workers. Alejandra? Was so rude & this woman transfers $ from my savings to checking on Friday 12/04/2020 now today 5 days later come to find out she never finish transfer$ over. so she goes into my account with out & subtracts $ out of account & I giving me the member any notice of what's going on? These past 5 days I ASSUMED I have $ in checking because I transfer from savings. My account balance shows transfer was good. But NOW 5 days later my balance Shows a negitive & got hit with fees because savings is covering my checking. It's BS I'm stopping my direct deposit with this bank. I advise all ILWU MEMBERS TO DO THE SAME I'm 133350 To top it off Alejandra hung up on me twice
