Shopping for a storage unit for my sister. Kimi provided such friendly service, gave me all the details I needed of this facility while Im looking for a unit. She also gave me a cold water bottle, much needed on a hot day! This one is top 1 on my list for sure! Bringing my sister in soon (: Keeping note of this one for future storage needs.

Since 2021, I've been a faithful customer of Smart Stop Self Storage, Colima Rd. Whittier location and paid the monthly storage fee for three storages using auto pay. In spite of this, Smart Stop Self Storage rented out two of the units that belonged to me that where already paid to the end of the month and rented by me. I had emptied the units earlier in the month to clean and disinfect them from ongoing rat damage & rat infestation. Days later, Smart Stop Storage rented my two paid storage units to another customer. When I went to finish the cleaning tasks in my units, I discovered my locks no longer worked on the units and I could not get in to them. I immediately inquired in the office. However, the representative had no explanation other than that the employee who did the transaction (rented my units) no longer worked there. I explained that I was not moving out only cleaning and that Smart Stop never reached out to me to follow move out protocol before they rented my paid units to another customer.
I have not received a call from their District Manager as promised. I have been consistently on the phone with the storage location and Customer Service trying to get justice. The Smart Stop Self Storage staff handled re-renting my two paid units is no way to do business or treat a faithful consumer.
