I had a 9:30 appointment and walked in to check in at 9:35. They said they are running 20 minutes late, and now that I'm 5' late, I need to wait for an hour or reschedule. Does that make any sense?If anything, they should have called me to say they are running 20' late, and if I'm 5' late, then I needed to wait 15'. Basically. It seems that the technician had gone in late, and was in a fowl mood, And taking it out on clients whileHiding behind the reception desk workers. And also trying to shave clients off so she leaves on time at the end of the day. As a service to women, their behavior lacked totalRespect for a woman's time, except of course, for that of the technician. I rescheduled, because I didn't think it was wise to be handled by an unreasonably dispositioned technician.So makeSure to callAhead and check if they are running on time, soYou can plan your day accordingly.

I have been there several times; and every time my experience has been good. From the receptionist to the technicians and doctors I have received treatment with care, respect and full disclosure.

I have been trying to make an appointment for an ultrasound ordered by the oncologist. I have called 8 times, been cut off, spent 1 hr. 18 minutes on average on hold each time, have been transferred from site to site, and still haven't gotten through to schedule an appointment. I give up. This is not the customer service I have come to expect from PIH. So frustrating and infuriating.

I would normally rate this facility 5 stars but after what I witnessed today, they're lucky they get 3. I think it's time PIH retrained their staff who were rude & insensitive to a mother with an adult daughter with a disability. In less than 60 seconds I was able to retrieve their updated Covid restrictions from their website which clearly contradicted what they were informing this poor mother of. Without going into great detail this was a mother, father and their adult disabled daughter. The staff told the mother that the daughter and the father had to wait outside due to covid restrictions that only allow one person to wait in the lobby. As I've posted this picture it clearly States otherwise. PIH please retrain your staff.

Went to one of the Dr in Lakewood and it was like pulling teeth telling the dr medication I’m on is causing my whole body to go on a downward spiral bloodwork reports take a week even tho quest gave them to me next day they don’t address inconsistencies in blood and rather let your health fail instead of help you. The next comment is on billing I have ppo insurance they don’t know how to bill my insurance and we’re waiting on a reply and sent it to the wrong company for reimbursement after a 45 mins call and then the person called the billing support the resubmitted the billing to the right dept. so I have no faith here.

Had my very first ever mammogram last weekend and I have to say, it was not the horrific experience I grew up hearing about. The front desk staff who checked me in was friendly, the volunteer working with her was nice young lady and the the technician Candace, was lovely. Candace explained everything thoroughly and gave precise direction when it was time to do the exam. She was calm, professional and most of all kind. She was not rough or aggressive, she constantly made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. The actual office was nice and girly with pretty purples and pinks everywhere and it was clean. They have lockers in the changing rooms for your belongings (take the key with you) which is a thoughtful touch. This was a great first experience and I'm glad I chose PIH Breast Health Center.

Came in for a check up. All of the staff I encountered from the receptionist to the ultrasound technician were extremely friendly and helpful. They really go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. I appreciate the care they took with me during my appointment. It is never exciting to get something checked out but they made it as easy and painless as possible. You even get your results same day which is nice. No need to worry while the results are sent to the doctor then given to you.

This is for PIH Health Cerritos pediatric and lab. Both staff and management are incompetent. I took my son here for the pediatrician, he ordered the routine anemia blood test to be drawn from my son's arm even though he just turned two. We waited close to 15 minutes after signing in to be called in, despite the fact that there was no one else in front of us, the phlebotomist Vanessa was not checking the sign in sheet at all. She then give us an attitude, not giving any proper guidance or show any sympathy to my son was was already frightened. She took multiple pokes at my son, at this time, he was already screaming. I finally had enough and and asked to speak to the office manager, who not only was not helpful, but actually defended the phlebotomist. I will never take my son here again, warning to all who thinks this is closer to their house, go somewhere else and save the headache.

PIH Downey: When you are at the hospital it’s not because your are feeling healthy and fine. You are sick or a worried family member. This security guard is really rude and not helpful at all. He does not want to be bothered and he rolls his eyes when you ask him a question. They need to switch him out for someone that has compassion and customer service.

I love this place! I've been coming here since I was old enough to start mammograms. I am now 55 years old I've never had a negative experience with PIH and love the staff. I won't go to any other hospital when I have a medical or health concern. I live in Whittier and when I have had family emergencies and they were going to take me or my family member to Whittier Hospital I specifically requested they take me to PIH.
