They need to change the name from Pet City to Pet Street, lol. Not that big of a place, but they have a good variety of pet supplies. Their prices seem reasonable. They have nice-looking love birds.

Sadly this place has gone wayyy downhill, we had bought some stuff for our aquarium maybe three years ago? And since haven't gone in, but this last time we came (maybe three weeks ago?) it was absolutely depressing... The smell is just horrible from all, I'm assuming, animal feces and feed. Majority of the animals being kept there are in saddening states...some if not most of the birds seem to have been fighting and have a majority of their feathers plucked off, the rabbits and rats also seem depressed...the rabbits looked to have urine burns from sitting in the inclosure with their own urine for long periods of time. Just utterly frustrating and heartbreaking to see the animals in this state. Also when we went in, we didn't see any staff at all, someone may have been in the back but we didn't see anyone from our duration of time there...

Found my cocktail breading box here. The price was ok considering this place was much closer than the previous breading box I had bought. Owner was really nice don't get fooled by mad clients with bad reviews. My experience was pleasant.

I was looking for a nesting place for my zebra finches and the owner was kind enough to recommend two products. He even gave me some hay to put on it.The price of the products for birds and fish (pets I have) are affordable and reasonable. This is also a good place to look for a bigger bird cage if you want to save on money.This store is not as fancy as known pet stores, so if you are not a picky shopper, this store may just be fine.

Very smelly place as if the caged animals are really not cleaned. Some hamsters had nothing like hay or wood chips in their cages. Doesn't look like taken care of at all. Inflated insane prices and not much options. On top of it the person on the register was rude. He should be sent for a training so he can learn how to talk to customers with courtesy. When I said it looks like little overpriced - He said, you can go and buy somewhere else. Really. We are not going back ever and suggest buyer to avoid.

Great little pet store. Has a little bit of everything. Hamsters , Guinea pigs, birds. Cages, bedding. Food and Toys. Good prices.

This sign is from pet city and is seen heading east bound towards Whittier whittwood center. Or west bound towards the Whittier Quad.Depends where you coming from. POV be like.

It is always a great idea to support your local Whittier- business. Ever since I stepped into the store years ago, I have always been treated very kindly and with much attention by the owner share. The owners always have very personable and kind. As popular as Petco- is, the special kindness that PET CITY gives you surpasses , anything that Petco could ever show you. Family owned PET CITY pet store is one of the best experiences you could ever remember. Big block stores don't do anything for your customer service. Even though the store has been through a remodel and it is smaller---- the service is always there and I highly recommend this place 125%. Remember that small business make the cities ( Whittier) they are in more personable and friendly. Have a beautiful day.
