I love Mozart in Uptown Whittier. I started going to this salon this year to see my stylist, Gerardo, who I had met in another shop years ago! When I arrived at Mozart, I was greeted by the friendly and professional receptionist. She is always so helpful! I knew my service would be great because of my prior experience with Gerardo, but I was skeptical if I'd like the salon. Turns out, I absolutely love the environment! It's professional, friendly, and comfortable. I am always happy for my routine appointment and come out feeling like a million bucks! The shop is always really clean too. Always a wonderful experience.

BE AFRAID. BE VERY AFRAID. Revision: Dec. 12 @2a.m. It was an exhaustive 2 days (Fri & Sat); Winter Formal prep is not for the faint@. Now that the dance is over; I can reflect on the factors leading up to the cause of this most unexpected outcome and unnecessary stress. I know hair appointments take longer than anyone expects; and I know hair color & textures process differently. Who wouldn't be a bit disappointed, when after spending 3.5 hrs waiting for your daughter's highlights touch up and a haircut to be completed; but you quickly realize something went wrong something went wrong ... terribly wrong. Botched haircuts can't be fixed; because the cut hair can't be reattached. Highlights & lowlights have GONE orange... Stylist deciding to use the wrong color toner; could be career suicide. Upon realizing the error in highlights. Haircut wasn't the long layers w/ face framing requested. Slight panic sets in. Unable to rectify the mistake. We're invited to return the next morning to re-do color. I offered payment ... but he refused to accept it. Home is where we truly could see the unbelievable errors in the cut. Mind boggling: face framing short Bob in front with her long hair in back. She made a ponytail and the Bob immediately fell out against her face. OMG! Omg! My daughter reluctantly agrees to return (11:30 a.m) .... I didn't say a damn thing to the stylist. Daughter made it clear he wasn't to cut to try to fix, his mistake. He quickly started on the bleach. He invited me to see the color he had bleached her hair before he would apply toner. The wrong toner was his mistake from the previous night. He used the wrong toner. As I questioned the shade of toner he would be using this 2nd time; his true colors appeared... in DIVA PINK: He became belligerent. Raising his voice at me. Telling me he didn't want to hear me.; as if I had been talking s*** to him. I had not said a damn thing about his F up in the total of 7.5 hrs we had been there. There was no badmouthing I needed to keep my daughter calm. "Only what shade is this toner?" At the end of 4 hrs (day 2) in this toxic environment. I again offered payment. He fused his portion. I said Thank you just as a gesture as we left. I'm not even going to get started on the woman who knows only 1 style of curls using a 1 inch I iron. Yuk! To the Stylist: YOU f'd up? Next time you do, don't blame the client for questioning every move you make to correct it. Being defensive ,after you invited me to see your work is idiotic . In front of your colleagues, you're offended by being questioned....whatever? Highlights could be fixed but the BOTCHED HAIRCUT couldn't be. No amount of free services will immediately grow back the hair length she lost; not to mention the horrific shape of the ear flaps you left her ... Now what? NOW WHAT? Now Go ahead tell me "I don't want to hear you"... DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!

I've been going to Mozart's for about 10 yrs now, and I won't go anywhere else. Alfonso is the stylist that does my hair, he is amazing, he definitely has a technique that no one can replicate. I moved to Indiana 5 yrs ago so I fly out to California twice a year to have my hair done at Mozart's. Everyone there at Mozart's is amazing. They are so nice and professional at the salon. I wouldn't go anywhere else or trust anyone else with my hair. Alfonso is truly a color expert and like I said earlier he has a cutting technique is unmatched. I know anyone that comes to Mozart's will be ecstatic with the results. I am every time he does my hair even after 10 years.

Great hairstylists ask for Christine she’s great for people with curly and wavy hair! Top notch customer service and products! Located in quaint downtown Whittier with unique shops and restaurants. Easy parking and all within walking distance from salon.

Carissa has been my stylist for years! She's a true master. I don't even tell her what I want or need done. I just sit down and she works her magic. Put it this way - I live in Phoenix and drive back home every few months because I won't let anyone else touch me! Hair is serious business! Which is why I ONLY trust Carissa!

Got my hair cut and blow dry with Al today as always a pleasure to be there and he didn't go overboard by cutting too short! The salon has a cozy feel and the staff is professional.
