Like others have stated, this is not a good credit union and one that can be very unprofessional. After a couple months with credit card I was told I could no longer access accounts online or make payments online, without any good explanation as to why - and they refused to tell me this in writing. To pay bill they insisted I come to branch each month. Looking forward to closing my account! Go elsewhere.

I have only been a member at this bank for about five years, and they have selectively decided to pause and shut down my accounts three times, for no reason. No fraud, no dispute. Just freezing my accounts. The employees act like they are all brand new, and no one can take accountability. It's unfortunate that people get paid less to do more than what these people can do. The greatest joy of being a customer here is knowing that I'm going to be pulling out every dollar tomorrow and going to another bank.

Terrible credit union online services and security isn't the best. When they did me wrong they offered no compensation. Will be moving my banking elsewhere.

They used to be awesome before the pandemic. Now they take forever to get anything done. I have always financed my cars through them, but the last car I paid off, my title was shipped to the wrong address and after a YEAR!! I am still trying to get it resolved. Lack of communications in emails, I have to constantly send follow up emails to get one response. Yet, when they want something from you it HAS to be immediate. This is a joke and after my current car is paid off I will be going somewhere else.

Hours here are a joke! 5 pm is when most working people are getting off work trying to make it to the bank before it closes.. I am thankful I only need to use this credit union most of the time for the free ATM but when I don't feel like driving to Anaheim or Burbank I have to take a half a day off of work just to make it to this bank before it closes. Sad...

If I could give this "Credit Union" minus Stars I absolutely would. I made the mistake of not only opening up a checking and savings account, but also a Credit card. These Account numbers are so inverted and the Banking by phone feature is so convoluted that I only use the app or online banking. It's always such a fight to get someone on the phone. I recently contracted COVID and since I work for a smaller sector (which employs only 10 people) our company didn't qualify for COVID pay and my 3 weeks out of work resulted in me not being paid for that time. I fell back on bills obviously and had to work hard at putting matters back in good standing. While doing so I attempt to use my online/ App banking and can use it. A couple of bills I had on arrangement when trying to go through at this time was declined. When I called and finally got a rep the first one talked to me like a human bit when they had to transfer me to another department is where the disrespect occurred. I was told that I was 30 days late on Their credit card payment and be aide of that all my accounts had been shut down. I asked why my accounts were affected by the movement with the credit card as they're separate ? Which didn't make sense to me, the woman stated with the nastiest attitude "well no! They are all on one account" you have the $50 in your account you need to transfer it or I guess I can do it for you." I said no! I don't u deter and why I have no access to my money( as small the amount was)" she stated " you have access to your money you have to go into a branch" I said you all have one branch in Los angeles and it's basically on the other side of the world! So no I don't have access to it! We end the call. I decide to call back and got someone who was nicer and she had to transfer me .. the person I spoke with was able to transfer the whole $50 they shut my accounts down for. What lead to my call was I needed to pay for my medication and was told my card was declined!! I was told it will take 48 hours to post the $50 to my credit card account and they lifted the hold on my account. I explained my rage and frustration with this policy and how it is just not right. I was told it was a privilege for the members to have use of the debit and credit cards and when my card defaulted they vaulted my accounts! I further explained how it was a privilege to allow them to hold my money as a member and with out us they'd have no Union! She changed her tone. I was able to use my account 24 hours afterward and when I attempted to get gas for the week my card declined again!!!! Well ..they placed another hold on my account and here it is Sunday and no one there to answer the phone. I have no access to my money and I am more than livid!! I am boiling! Monday is a holiday and I'm not sure what I'm to do! But the first is to CLOSE this account pay off this $400 (because it's going to bankrupt them) and close that and go back to the FDIC 's. This has made me appreciate more Credit Unions. My husband has been tryin to get me to Westcom but I honestly have suffered so much shock from this experience and I will NEVER trust a credit union again. I'm sure they all operate the same. I will make it my business to let EVERYONE I know and come in contact with to stay away from Credit Unions period but mainly Credit Union of Southern California. I've already saved my Landlord the trouble of looking in to them and switching. They stayed with Bank Of America. Thank God! Please take your money elsewhere. I'm going through this so others done have to. PLEASE! If you have a family DO NOT Put your money here... PLEASE!!

Worst customer service, I've been on hold for over 15 minutes. I'm trying to verify ordering checks due to the new ownership of my old credit union. When trying to order online it shows the old credit union. Simple question but apparently they are to busy.

For a credit uninsured who's supposedly is "owned" by customers they treat them like dirt when having finding difficulties. I'm a postal worker and I make very good money however since a job related injury has cut back my hrs drastically this bank refuses to work with the customer. Notices?? What notices?!I've been in overdraft since June last year trying to play catch up and what I don't understand why do they not let the customer view their ONLINE MOBILE ACC. They've cut me off from even viewing my account yet leave it open waiting for my direct deposit and theyvstill put my account ON HOLD AFTER THEYVERRE P SID BACJ!@ IVE CANCELED MY DURECT DRPOSIT AND WILL BE GOING INTO THE BACK TO PAYBTHEM OFF. IM USING CHIME NOE.YOY ARE A DISGRACE WHEN IT COMES TO HUMAN KINDNESS AND PEOPLE HARDSHI P S.

I've been banking with this credit union for over 6 years and have nothing good things to say. Great customer service, (the tellers will know you by name). Never a long wait, you call customer service and someone helps right away. I always recommend them to my friends and family. So far my experience has been positive, I'm a little surprised to see bad reviews tbh I only had one experience a rude teller in the 6+ years I've been banking with them with but that can happen at any bank

So first time I tried to deposit money here the teller could not help me due to the fact that I didn't have the account number but the second time I was here there was a nice teller that gave me all the information i needed and with a smile. I believe customer service should be part of your job but you can't make a person nice if their not.

BEWARE: STAY AWAY! Dealing with them has been a true nightmare, as I have never experienced a bank so unprofessional! They closed my checking account, and still absorbed money into it, although I was locked out of my account. Meaning, I could no longer login online to see any of my information. I asked for my statements to see what charges were attempted on my account, but was told I have to pay for bank statements, which should be free with my account. There was a fraudulent attempt on my account for an absurd amount of money. I filed a dispute, but the complaints department was of no assistance. This overdrew my account, causing transactions to be declined. I closed my card, and tried to find a way to fight the fraudulent activity, - including calling customer service multiple times - but was told it was nothing they could do. Due to this, my account was extremely overdrawn, and has been charged over $1,500 in overdraft fees alone!!! My card was closed, and therefore should not have received any transaction attempts; yet, I was charged over $30 EACH time a merchant attempted, no matter how fraudulent the attempt! So yes, this means, if a fraudulent merchant attempted to charge an amount three different times in one day, I would be charged an overdraft fee THREE times... in one day, for the same fraud attempt! It's absurd. Additionally, I was told my checking account was closed and charged off, despite the fraud claims I submitted to their claims department. Despite being "closed" and "charged off" for almost a year now, the bank still snatched a deposit sent by the state. The account is closed!!! Therefore, they should have rejected the amount and sent it back to the state of California. Instead, the agent rubbed in my face that the amount was absorbed to cover over $1,500 of overdraft fees! I asked why they would keep it if my account is closed - the lady began to stutter and not give me a clear answer. I cannot begin to describe how insane this is. Moreover, the representatives are extremely condescending. The loan department, especially, is terrible and extremely unprofessional. I paid for loan insurance, and needed to utilize its benefits due to a COVID emergency. I called to file a claim, in which they lied and confirmed a claim was filed with the third party company. After weeks of not hearing anything back, I called to follow up on my claim. They ran me around in circles for months, yes ... MONTHS! They then told me to call the third party insurance company, but said they did not have the contact info so I could contact them regarding my claim! How Amazing! After calling multiple times, an agent finally gave me the info, but told me I was beyond the "grace period" to receive such benefits since my checking account was closed --- from FRAUDULENT activity!!! To top it off, I called the third party insurance company (who were actually helpful), and was informed they did NOT receive a claim from the bank at all, and had NO RECORD of me needing to file a claim with them! To settle matters, and understand why I was misinformed, I called the bank back. This time, the narrative switched to me not "qualifying" for coverage, though I paid extra for it, because I "did not have it on my loan" - which was a complete lie!! As I have documents stating otherwise. They then admitted, condescendingly, that I actually do have coverage, but do not qualify for the insurance that I paid for, and they lied to me about not having!!! Next, they tried overcharging me extreme amounts, and rudely pushed for me to cover all fraud charges. Customer service, and every other department I have worked with there, has been nothing but a circle of lies and misinformation. BEWARE! STAY AWAY! The promotions are not worth it! They will lie, cover up fraudulent behavior, and not be of any service to you. This is the only bank where I literally feel as though I am dealing with crooks, instead of people who have "the customer's" back as they should. Stay away. You have been warned.
