I've been a life long customer with this bank, as they grow they seem to have less and less answers to my questions involving shutting off my account and drastic penalties. If you have lots of money it's a great bank. If you don't and are trying manage they will not help. I lost over 200 points in credit with an ontime payment rating of A+ score. No one can answer at the bank. This has me so worried about my future here, that I had to make this post.

My membership at CUSOCAL came about with the merger of Pacific Community Credit Union. To me, nothing about this merger has been positive. It's kind of a tough situation to review. Everyone that works there that I have dealt with is a nice person and positive. They don't make the rules and therein lies the problem. In the last few years, there have just been this and that things that annoy me. I have 2 other different credit union accounts that I have had for years as well as one regular bank account. None of them have the rules and fees that CUSOCAL does. The one that I got hit with today is that because of the merger the account number is no longer valid. I pay online for most of my bills. Without any notice, I had a payment returned to my Chase credit card account. When I called the Credit Union about that is when I also found out that my checks would no longer go through either. so they returned my electronic payment and informed me that if I wrote a check, it wouldn't go through either. I write very few but the gardner only takes checks. So I was told I had to order CUSOCAL checks. Today I see a charge of $22 to my account for checks! I have never had to pay a credit union for checks. Not one time until today. Assuming it was a mistake I called. Nope, that is the answer. One might think that even if that is the rule that the merger would have at least canceled out one order of checks. Nope! and $22?? So now that has become a profit item? I had a mortgage there too and refinanced that to get out, wouldn't consider a car loan or heloc. Their motto of People before profits is BS. Again, everyone I have dealt with is nice. Go somewhere else before you open an account at this place.

This place is crap n ur judged by ur appearance I qualified for a loan n once I found the car I wanted I had to reapplie for the loan and didn't qualify all of a sudden even after I found a car to meet all the requirements they ask for a loan. She keep me there over a hr filling out my account application and loan application then told me system was down to come back n finish later it was pouring I have no car n they literally call me back in a hr to Deny me suck crap

This is the worse Credit Union there is. I sent them message as I'm a disabled veteran and I sold my house and got a little bit of money. I wanted to make them an offer 0f 28,000 to pay off my truck loan and have the account paid in full. I wanted to get this loan over with and pay it off. They said no they could not accept it. which is stupid with all the problems in the world. People are dying, people are sick and losing their jobs due to COVID, yet they would not accept a cash offer. They don't care about their customers or your health if your a disable Veteran, they just want money. Do yourself a favor and don't get a loan with CUOSC, PLEASE GO SOME WHERE ELSE AND SAVE THE HEADACHES AND GRIEF THEY PUT YOU THROUGH.

My five stars goes to Donna . I started going to her at the La Habra Branch before they had closed down . She is very kind and patient . I always wait so she can help me . Gets me in and out of there instead of making it a long process. She helps with everything I need and does not hesitate to answer any of my questions . Thank you Donna !

The credit union, please check and do some maintenance on the outdoor ATM. My third time trying to deposit cash, an error message appears.

I don't usually write bad reviews but on this one OMG! A total scam in my car refinancing, they put you insurances of which they do not notify you, and a GAP that tells you that you can Cancel at any time which is not true, I lost a total of 1000 dollars plus the monthly interest that I paid every month, I better decided to pay the full cost of my car and not know anything more about this scam banking
