We stayed at the lost coast inn, in shelter cove. The fish tank was a perfect spot to take a snack back for our journey back home. The woman that made our food was really sweet, she gave us an update with the road conditions and what we might expect going through the mountains. I believe it was a bob sandwich and man you were not disappointed! I was wishing my husband didn't want his so I could eat another one. My husband got a double shot of expresso and he seemed to really enjoy that as well. Thank you for being so sweet to us!

Arrived 10 min BEFORE closing. Note on ajar door that said closed, with people inside sitting. I walked in, asked if a togo coffee is ok and the lady literally screamed at me "WE ARE CLOSED....GET OUT!!" as she pointed to the door. I said again...."not even a togo coffee?" She screamed again, and then some guy in a local fireman uniform comes out from the kitchen and yells at me...."YOU HEARD HER, GET OUT WERE CLOSED!!" As he pointed to the door. So we left.Weird and crazy people.....never again. These people don't deserve the business.

What ambiance.. nothing like sitting outside enjoying the ocean view and water droplets on your hair and face. Amazing customer service, super sweet and friendly. Good, simple food. All was fresh and packed with flavor.

I felt like I was being ‘punked’ or secretly filmed for some joke video. Walked in (beautiful spot, lovely locals) but the individual behind the counter was just so incredibly rude - it was like a Jekyll and Hyde situation - she’d be lovely towards a local and then scold me for sitting the wrong way/reading the menu wrong/filling my coffee from one of those self serve coffee stations.I left so confused, I’ve never experienced anything like it. It’s worth checking out, but not for the reasons you’d normally visit a coffee shop (I.e. great coffee, friendly service) 5/5 for an interesting experience. Espresso and coffee weren’t bad 3/5, but negative 7 stars for the service.

Arrived at 1:30 on a Monday. No line. Superb hot chocolates for the kids. Delicious lox bagel and sweet pastries. Decent cappuccino and latte. The view is the best. Very pleasant visit. Friendly service.

We were in Shelter Cove for a few days and stopped in here a couple times for caffeine. What a hidden gem! The owner, her husband (a local firefighter), and their son were all there at various times and took such good care of us. My friend ordered a Mexican mocha after asking how she makes it, because she told him that she grinds the Ibarra by hand! We didn't get a chance to have any of the food, but everything looked fresh and good, and the setting is absolutely glorious. When I say it is right on the ocean, I am not kidding. The owner also supports her community in monetary and non-monetary ways. We had a great conversation and I loved my chai latte.

I tried to get coffee here. The owner, tall thin guy with glasses, was ridiculously rude!! The deck has an amazing view, but this deck seems to be a flash point for this guy. We loved Shelter Cove, but this guy about ruined the whole experience ?
