Built on an Indian Burial Grounds. Not cool. Have family buried up behind the campground.

Great spot to camp and launch your boat. Friendly staff. Has bathrooms, showers, laundry room and a mini library. During summer they have events like bingo, karaoke and games for kids as well. Ice cream social is everyone's favorite day!

We stayed twice at this resort in 2022. We stayed here over memorial day and labor day. We enjoyed both visits but the 2nd visit we opted to just pitch our tent on our friends rv spot. See the blue tent in my pictures. When we stayed over memorial day, we had a tent spot but we were never at our spot other than to sleep. The tent spots are the same price as an rv spot, which is another reason we opted to share. They do have shower facilities and toilets that flush. My son loved picking some blackberries in September. The beach area is ok. Boating this labor day was wonderful. There is a smaller dock that we hit a chain or something so chipped our propeller a little but that was on us. The rv sites are tight but overall we enjoy this camp.

With just a bit of Vaseline they could get the RVs closer together. A little gravel in the sites would be an effective way of keeping the unbelievable red dust down. Not doing this one again.

Great staff. Very woodsy but relaxing. Check in and out is easy. The lake is fantastic.

Camp hosts are very nice. Very reasonable priced, but there are good reasons for it. “Seasonal” campers (May-October) have developed quite a clique, and are very rude to others. You might just have a neighbor who lets their dog run loose and pee on your things, play their music until 10 pm, or hints that you should share your food as you cook dinner. There’s also a huge bias against tent campers (real camping IMHO). Even if you have a reservation you can be bumped at any time, and with very little notice if a seasonal camper decides they want your spot. Campsites on the lake are great, but the restroom is absolutely disgusting. You’ll have to either walk VERY carefully or drive across a very busy highway to the “upper” campground to use a passable (fewer spiders) shower. Logging trucks speed by all day long. There is a washer and dryer available, and the kayaking is great. We camped there for a week every year for five years. Then the Covid closure gave us a chance to reflect and we decided that it really wasn’t worth the anxiety.
