My mom and I got very sick from eating their banh cuon. We bought 3 packages, but ate 1 and had to throw away the rest. Tasted rotten and the ingredients were not fresh. My mom and I ended up getting food poisoning. Customer service is terrible too.

Had to write a review because this place sold us spoiled (gone bad, expired) banh cuon. We're from the SGV so this place is usually a treat when we go but not today! This is the first time it has happened to us and it will be the last. Hopped onto here to look up the phone number and saw that other people had this experience too and starting from 2 years ago per the review. Beware people!

Everytime my mom comes to Santa Ana we always stop by here to get some fresh rice rolls, but I decided to write this review because this is not the first time we encountered a bad experience here. The first time we took home the rice rolls it molded, there was a spot of mold. This time (as shown in the photo) it was wet, gooey/sticky, and shredded to pieces. I don't know how they can take customers money and still sell them food that's gone bad like this. Never coming back again.

I'm surprised by these reviews as I am a lifelong Thai Son fan! I've been coming here for as long as I remember since I was a little kid. Every time I have a banh cuon craving, this is my to go spot. They sell Banh Uot (plain Vietnamese rice roll sheets) for a $4 per pound, and it comes with their nuoc mam (fish sauce) which is light and sweet, perfect to prepare at home with veggies and pork patty. They also sell banh cuon nhan thit (pork rice rolls) and banh cuon tom chay (dried shrimp rice rolls) for about $4.50-5/lb, which are both good. They have small to go plates with fish sauce for $4-4.50 (plain and dried shrimp rice rolls) as well. I can't believe I haven't written a review! Long due. They also sell fruit and I've bought from them a few times, but there is also a fruit store right next door so there is a lot of competition. This is a great mom and pop business, and I am happy to support them. Happy eating and stay safe!

So disappointed. Their banh Cuon tasted sour which indicated the proliferation of microorganism.Won’t ever come back.

I don't like to write negative review but I have to let people know about this place. This will be my last to buy anything from this place! I purchased 2 boxes of longans for $48 thinking they're FRESH since they claimed they sell fresh fruits and they charged way more than the frozen longans in Vietnamese supermarkets. BUT I WAS WRONG!!! Both boxes I purchased today from them are FROZEN. I felt cheated and was disappointed because of their unethical behavior.

NEVER EVER BUY FROM THEM. They place fresh fruit on top to deceive buyers believing that it’s all fresh. The place moldy rotten fruit underneath and still have the nerve to charge you for rotten produce! After calling them, there was no apology the owner basically said it’s not my problem. Wow no appreciation for customers. Poor business ethics and consuming rotting fruits is a health hazard. The health department will be notified.

The sales tactics here are kinda crazy. Not sure who's idea it was to open next to a store that sells the exact same stuff. They were openly hating on each other. One lady told me the other's fruit is from south Mexico whereas hers is from the north. Sales tactics are extremely aggressive. I'd argue that they should channel that aggression into motivation. Motivate yourself to move that store a few blocks over and have less competition.
