Both my parents have been asked by their PCPs to obtain labs with CMB (vs LabCorp or Quest) and my experience in the last several years helping my parents complete this tedious task have been meh, don’t expect more than a slightly sub par experience (like 2.5-3 stars) which is not worth my time to write a review. However, my most recent experience with some of that staff at the Bolsa location was an example of a work culture that tolerates ignorance and mediocrity. Why? It was acceptable for a staff to refuse my simple request to rerun my mother’s insurance with her name exactly as printed on her insurance card, which included a hyphen. As they did not enter her name correctly in their system, she was given a print out that said her insurance was inactive. I explained to the staff that this has happened in the past, that if the hyphen was omitted, it will not provide the correct information. Instead of taking a few minutes of her time to do her job, she dismiss any possibility that she was wrong and refused to rerun my mother’s insurance. I considered she may have difficulty admitting she was wrong, so to save her face, I mentioned that this has happened at different facilities in the past and it was common mistake. I considered she was just ignorant, so I asked her to speak to the Anthem insurance representative that I had on hold as she could verify my mother’s insurance directly. I considered she was just lazy, as she said she has to go on lunch and to have the insurance company fax over the required work. How is it acceptable that you are asking me to do your job? So while she was on her lunch, I was on the phone with the same rep waiting for a fax to come through. When she came back from lunch, instead of taking any accountability, she said that they are just a lab facility and don’t deal with insurance companies. Unbelievable. I was able to advocate for my mother that day and she was able to get her labs completed because I know how to navigate the health care system. But imagine all the elderly patients that have been turned away from this place. Even worse, imagine all the poor services and fees that were rendered to those elderly patients who don’t have an advocate. The lesson: don’t let your parents go here for labs. And if you have no choice, be prepare to spend 2.5 hours doing someone else’s job when it should be a 45-60 minute visit.

First come, first serve. Extremely inefficient, and not enough staffing. You have two phlebotomists trying to service 30+ people. So what if you have a family member that needs to do fasting labs and is diabetic? And they have to wait 2+ hours and have repeatedly mentioned that they are diabetic, have not eaten, and need fasting labs? The front staff is uncaring of the situation. Only go here if you're willing to wait for hours and enjoy terrible service. Aren't we living in 2023, why are places like these still existing? There should be higher standards where this place does not care to have.

I went at 7am and asking for how long for blood test time. The lady said it will be fast so I believed I would not be late for my working shift. I waited for 30 minutes and asking again and waiting. After 10 minutes, I came again for asking because I saw too many persons who arrived after me got tests before me. Only after I said I would like to redraw my Doctor order for another lab test the lady reluctantly checked my Insurance # and taking my blood. It is very unprofessional services, random order taking.I was late for my shift and be warning. I am paying a lot for health insurance, do not care for health check because of business busy and receiving very poor insurance services.

This place they didn’t keep patients file, every time I come to this place they always ask insurance card !! Plus their services is lousy you have to wait for so long and they treat patients with no respect.

Waiting for over 1 hour and I had to leave for another dr appointment! And came back and still waiting longer! It’s a big mess here! It’s so dirty here! I understand if they short of staff but at least let me know how long expected to wait so I can manage my schedule! Instead they’re super rude!

The staff at this facility is extremely rude. They supposedly close at 330pm and I arrived at 3:18, however, there time showed 320pm. There was 1 lady in the room, 1 lady infront of me who checked in after me. They took the lady first (and she was there a few min. prior to me) and then proceeded to almost send me away after my grandaughter didn't eat all day (due to fasting) and got upset with me becaused they put me in the room at 3:30pm and said it takes time to label the viles of blood drawn. the last I checked if a place is open til 3:30 then who ever arrives prior to then should get seen and they should not except anyone past 3:30pm. When I worked retaiil, all customers were asked at closing time to head to registers. They didn't throw people out and say you cannot buy your merchandise. They are all rude and I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. This is an asian facility and they most definately cater to them as the lady ahead of me was asian and I did not appreciate their attitude as a customer
