Booked online appt several days in advance for my daughter to get her ear lobes re-pierced. We arrived on time but the WiFi was not working, so there was some delay as the staff worked on resolving that. One staff member who may have been a little flustered from the stress of the tech issue said to the other “you can check them in now” in a manner that set off a little flag for use about the professionalism. It all went downhill from there. The person checking us in very awkwardly started the process of checking us in and requested that we start signing the waiver. She said ‘um’ and ‘like’ and ‘basically’ so many times that it was apparent that she had not been formally trained in a procedure to do what she was doing. Instead of “hello, welcome, thanks for your patience! I bet you’re excited for your piercing. Please join me here at the counter and I’ll get you all checked in” she just started shouting from across the room to us in the seating area and we had to assume we should come and talk to her over where she was. Once I filled out the waiver, we were asked for a form of ID. I gave them my DL and she said no for my daughter. I said, my daughter is 8, no I don’t have ID for her. They said I could go get it, but it was beyond odd how they didn’t seem to understand how inconvenient that was nor how disappointing it is for an 8 yo who was looking forward to the experience. I let them know that this requirement was not communicated ahead of time and that in the future it would be very supportive to folks to get this detail clear at the time of booking. They blew off my comment and said “It’s on our website”. All I could do was laugh and the utter lack of customer service and professionalism. Couldn’t just validate my frustration and logical reasoning and tell me that this very important detail is somewhere on their website like I’m supposed to know that? Laughable. We left and went to Claire’s. Got the piercings without delay or resistance.

Highly recommended they use a needle for piercing which is better than most places already. They are also very knowledgeable and informative too! I went on Black Friday and there was a deal for 40% off what a steal. They do have more product online than in store though.

It's been over a year since I got my helix and rook piercing at Lulu's. * note I am from Houston and flew to CA to get my ears pierced My rook was pierced by the head piercer and helix by an apprentice. About 1 month after my piercing, I noticed that my helix jewelry was missing and it had fallen out when I showered. I found the jewelry in the shower, but sadly lost the backing. I had to put in one of my jewelry that I had at home just to keep it in place before getting the proper backing replaced. I wished that the jewelry was a screw top to reduce the possibility of it falling out, but I am also not a professional piercer to know if it is even possible to have for your initial session. A year later, I recently had my rook removed because it began rejecting. You were able to see the jewelry through the transparency of my skin. (I was not aware of this until I researched online and had my piercing checked by a professional) I believe my anatomy was not the right fit to get the rook piercing done in the first place, so sadly more than $200 down the drain I remember during my consultation at Lulu's with the head piercer, that although my anatomy was small, it could be done.. so I am disappointed that my time and money was wasted but *this can happen with anyone's piercing*. I still give 3 stars because when I had my rook, it was my favorite piece, and I got so many compliments on it. I am so sad that it is gone now. I went to Rebel Rebel to get my piercings looked at and my jewelry swapped. They had a much bigger selection of jewelry which is why I did not go back to Lulu's. My past piercings in CA were all healing fine except the ones from Lulu's (my fault bc I didnt have the proper helix jewelry in bc mine fell out 1 month after my piercing) I got a second opinion from a piercer at Rebel Rebel to take a look at my anatomy to see if a rook can be done in the future, and they said it will most likely reject again since the area is small for both ears. I appreciate the honesty rather than wasting money on trying and end up being disappointed in the future. They also told me if I didn't take my rook out in the next ~3 months my skin would have separated I recommend to just save your money and go with a head piercer, research their page and look for healed results.

Took my 17 year old daughter here to get her ears pierced (yes - first piercing). The shop was recommended by some of her friends and I saw all the positive Yelp reviews, so booked the appointment. I have to say, when I got my ears pierced a loooooong time ago, I don't think piercing shops even existed! I had it done at a jewelry store. So, this was a totally new experience for me. It is great that you can make an appointment online. I was a little disappointed that the appointment confirmation did not inform us of the identification documents that were necessary (you need id for parent and child), but the front desk staff was very helpful in accommodating us and booking the next available appointment. I was very happy with the staff at the front desk. The piercing artist was very professional and personable. She explained all of the necessary details (things that were not explained to me when I had my ears pierced). She was super friendly, but overall carful and competent. I came away with all questions answered. This is a great place for piercing.

I somehow got a targeted ad from them on Instagram. I love how they specialize in stacked piercings and designing your ear. My original lobe piercing is a bit high so I wanted a stacked piercing that would help to close the gap on my lobe. And while I'm already getting pierced I decided to do my second lobe too! Scheduled appointments for me and my friends birthday about two days prior and they did have a bunch of openings. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and worked with the girl (super sweet - didn't catch her name) to get our consent forms signed and design our ears. While the piecing itself is not too expensive what really catches you is their jewelry cost, which must be purchased to get pierced. They provide titanium and gold options. After we picked out our jewelry we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the next piercer. Anastasia was the one to pierce us and she really took the time to explain what she was doing and perfect where the piecing would go and made adjustments as needed. My friend and I walked out with more holes in our ears and loving them!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. It’s a scam. They only send me two earrings when I bought three. I reached out to customer service and they didn’t even refund partial nor send a replacement.

I would highly recommend coming in for your piercing needs. I went in for a few earlobe piercings and the two girls working were so friendly, welcoming and took their time helping me pick out my jewelry. I ended up buying an earring for my previously pierced tragus too. Justine pierced me and changed my earring. She was so helpful, patient and gave me great advice. I really appreciated how thorough she was with the placement of my piercings, I have smaller earlobes and didn't want to look too crowded. The shop is super clean and I was given after care instructions, that they also emailed me after my appointment. I'm already wanting to go back for maybe one more.

Drive all the way there to find out my daughter needs birth certificate and no where on website does it state this. Waste of time and will never give them my business.

I got my lower earlobe pierced (wanted 4 additional piercings). The process was effortless and they even gave me a free saline spray because I spent a lot... I've bought cartilage jewelry from them before and got a cute dagger which I adore!! My body modification artist was super sweet and she walked me through the entire process. She even found one of my 2 earring holes was open and she was able to refund me some money. The whole process took less than an hour (3 piercings and 1 piercing hole needed to input an earring). I'm mainly into tattoos so I was a little nervous since I haven't pierced in ages. The pain only lasted a second and then there was heat. But otherwise not bad at all. She let me look at placement and really took her time in getting everything perfect. Would definitely recommend lulus to anyone looking for high end jewelry and body piercings!!

Before visiting check the prices. One month ago the prices doubled. My 2nd visit to LuLu's i was charged $5 to remove nose piercing for an MRI. I Then returned to have the stud put back in. $10 My third visit last week i was charged $15 to remove piercing, again for my 2nd Mri. I then confirmed to return to put back stud into nose, $15 again. Whaaaaaat ? I called yesterday to confirm, and yes it is $15 out and $15 back in. Apparently the prices a month ago, increased. This procedure doubled. I then went Barabella in costa mesa, last night. $6 in and $6 out. Hence LuLu has lost a customer. And Barsbella has gained a customer.
