My recent visit to The Home Depot on Katella Ave in Orange, CA, was mostly great, although it had one notable low point. Let's break it down, shall we?My mission for the day was simple - just a couple of boxes and some tape for an upcoming move. Of course, as with any trip to Home Depot, I found myself wandering around the store; you never know when inspiration might strike for a new DIY project, right?While navigating the store, I had the pleasure of meeting Anna in the kitchen area, who kindly pointed me in the right direction when I was looking for the restroom. Staff like Anna are what make shopping experiences truly enjoyable - it's not just about buying products, but the interaction and the community feel that really matter.Now, the one unfortunate aspect of my visit was the state of the bathroom. It was, to put it mildly, not up to par. I had to walk right back out, which wasn't a pleasant surprise.To sum it all up, The Home Depot on Katella Ave is a great place to shop for all your DIY and home improvement needs. It's brimming with potential project ideas and great staff like Anna. However, the cleanliness of the restroom could definitely use some attention. For this reason, I'm giving this Home Depot location a solid 4 stars - a little polishing and it could easily reach that 5-star standard. Keep up the great work, and let's clean up those bathrooms! “I discovered this place not long ago and it became the place to go to first when I have a remodeling project coming up or when a tenant moves out. Everyone working there is very friendly with a great customer service attitude, Jesse in particular, he always goes out of his way to help, very professional and knowledgeable especially when it comes to building material, appliances and construction in general. Inventory changes all the time so you need to make frequent visits that's why I always stop by when I am in the area to see what new items came in. This place is fantastic!!!”

“The Home Depot! Everything you need for home improvement can be found here. And other things you need. I wanted to grab some boxes for moving and found some other things I've been needing. I found AA batteries, which I've been wanting for some toys. And then I grabbed some items for laundry; Woolite (a lifesaver for anyone who wears black or dark colors!), and laundry beads (they make my clothes smell soooooooo dang good!). I was able to get all the things I wanted and needed. :)”

“I came to this location 3 days in a row trying to find some parts for my shower head and the first two days NOT A SOUL could or would help me. Nobody knew and the ones who tried would just give up. Until Kenny. Kenny made my 2 hr trip into a 15 minute trip and I am so grateful. He was extremely knowledgeable, super quick, and great attitude. He seemed like the only person who took his job seriously and knew what he was doing. The other kids working there might need more training in products and customer care. Check out people were really nice too.”

I was almost wrongfully charged $80+ for some damages/tank not being full but thank goodness I had photo evidence to show, so Owen was able to reverse these charges. Shoutout to Owen for fixing a mistake that wasn't his!!”

“I always get friendly service at Lowe's. I'm a Carolina girl, so I grew up in Lowe's. It's a better layout, in my opinion. Went to Lowe's for specialty light bulbs for my daughter's floor lamp. We were approached by Frank, he was super helpful and engaging. He provided us with guidance on wattage and specifications on the base sizes. They were exactly what she needed and at a reasonable price. It was a pleasant visit.”

“Evelyn Captain of Events was my secret Santa this year!!! I came in looking for the Grinch tree and found a sad little dried up tree by the register. I was told there weren’t anymore but I decided to ask one more person and there she was! She was able to guide me to a rack that was hidden between these ginormous (small) palm trees, and found a tree that was exactly what I was looking for. I was referred to by a floor planner that I was working with and right as I came into the store I was greeted and helped with immediately. There were several customers inside being helped and I got helped as soon as they were done.
