We had a great experience here! We took our kitty here after calling around to find a place to take us same day. Dr Innes and his staff were not only able to accommodate us, but they were kind and educational. I have never felt so comfortable in a vet office before.

Dr. Innes is kind and patient and explains everything about the exams and results. The staff are all friendly and care about the animals they see. Yes they may not be the cheapest vet you can find, but in our experience with our three dogs that we have taken there it is worth it to get a doctor and staff who care about your dogs and take the time to talk to you about your dogs and what is going on with their health.

Dr. Innes has been so wonderful in taking care of my dog! This veterinary hospital has such a kind staff and they complete thorough treatments to ensure that your pet is happy and healthy. My pet has had a few medical issues and with the help from Dr. Innes and his team, she has been able to get back to herself again. Thank you for all that you do!

BE CAREFUL with this vet clinic. My experiences there were great initially, Dr. Innes repaired my dog's knee which had a torn muscle. I trusted this doctor after that procedure and moved my dog over to him full time.
A few months later my dog was diagnosed with Cushings. This is where everything went downhill. Dr. Innes did an incredibly poor job of educating me on what this disease entailed. Worse, he prescribed a medication that he clearly did not know enough about. He gave far too high of a dosage to begin treatment. The high dosage combined with no tests done immediately before starting the medicine to see if my dogs body was even healthy enough to be on new meds lead to disastrous results.
My dog suddenly passed away from complications with the new medicine, he died of a seizure. Looking back now there were multiple warning signs missed by Dr. Innes to not put my dog on this medication. My dog was elderly and I feel it was incumbent on the doctor to tell me everything, good and bad, about the medication and let me decide for myself. Of course the medicine and accompanying tests were extremely expensive. I am not saying he was motivated by money, but I am saying he made a lot off me from a medicine that I would never have put my dog on had I known the possible complications.
The worst of it was when I called after my dog died to speak with the doctor. The doctor attacked me for asking questions, brushed aside my concerns, said I was wrong, said the ER where my dog died was wrong. Everyone was wrong except for him. He also told me I could have read about the medication myself to see the possible complications. Great, what did I need him for then if I could have researched medications and diseases myself? He also accused me of just looking for someone to blame...this after I held my dog in my arms while he died...long story short I do not recommend Dr. Innes to anyone.

We've brought all three of our cats here and can say it the best vet we've ever been too. Dr Innes is so knowledgeable and kind with helping us since one of our boys is sickly. The staff is also amazing. Anytime I call I just say my name and they already know my pet. Would give 10 stars if possible.

Dr. Innes and team are a kind and wonderful group of individuals who love animals and take great care of your pet. I live in another state and make a point to keep coming to this clinic for my dog. He's helped in emergency situations, preventative care and today we had our 2nd Dental Cleaning and a few teeth extractions. Thank you Dr. Innes for what you do. We truly appreciate you! - Anna & Bonnie

We just moved to the area and found you on yelp. From the moment I called to make an appointment it has been a great experience. My fur baby was treated with so much professionalism and kindness I was so happy about the whole interaction. From the front seat staff to the vet you guys are all amazing. I’m so happy I found you. Thank you for taking care of my stitch!

I've had cats my entire life, as well as many many vet visits. Its never a fun process to lovingly stuff your furry friends into small carriers and bring them to a place you know is only going to make them scared and uncomfortable. Especially when they have claws. My experience has taught me that, for the most part, going to the vet is just one of those things you have to grin and bear. This was not the case at Village Veterinary Hospital. From the initial appointment scheduling phone call, where the veterinary assistant was able to graciously accommodate me with a same day appointment, to the warm "Welcome to the Family" letter I recieved a few days later, my experience here was an appreciated departure from what I've come to expect from vet visits. The staff handled both of my my cats with the upmost respect. I could hear through the door of the patient room that they would refer to my cats by name to eachother in conversation, a subtle but strong indication of the level of care they have for the animals they treat. Dr. Innes was kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. He held my feline companions in a delicate but firm way that only a person who truly loves cats does, inspite of the impressive (but not too impressive!) number of scratch scars I clocked on his arms. He gave me straight and honest answers to the questions I had, and prescribed a treatment plan for my kitties' actual issues. The best part was he did not try to upsell me on any needless treatments or medications by fear mongering, something we desperately need more of in all aspects of health care for both animals and people. I am grateful I decided to go here, especially since usually Im pretty bad at finding the good spots. Thank you Village Veterinary Hospital for going the extra being a better kind of clinic. Raven, Bella, and I appreciate you!

This vet is incredibly rude and condescending. Take your business elsewhere.

The sad day came when my family had to put our loving dog to sleep. We were previously long time customers of another corporate local vet. We called multiple vets that were unable to help our dog on short notice. Without hesitation Village Vet made time for my family and my pup, that was in pain. They were genuine and knew how to handle the situation. My girl's last few moments were in comfort because of this vet. My other family will be switching their vet care to here. 6 out of 5 stars.

You could not find a more caring and thorough vet and that goes for his office staff and vet techs as well. When you take your fur baby to the doctor you know you are placing your baby into competent and caring hands.

Dr. Iness was the ONLY veterinarian that would see my puppy Deeks. It appeared that he injured his back or hip while taking a nasty fall. I called and called around and no one would see my pup without hour long waits and hundreds of dollars later. That is,..until I came across The Village. The ladies at the front desk were so helpful and patient and supportive of our situation. I knew my pup was going to "alright " but not knowing was torture for me. Dr Iness agreed to stay after hours just to see my dog. I was very touched and so grateful!! Since they were so pleasing my husband and I decided to switch vets so now Deeks is a patient at The Village!!! "Thanks to you all!"
