Worst adoption place. Being run by old bitter women and a cuck with not a care about finding a home for the cats. We should have seen it coming when the two previous customers (hispanic, Indian) got denied on the spot for various reasons. Not even given them a chance to see if they can take care of the amimals. I guess its the typical "non-profit" scam to pry $250 from people wants to do good for the world. Good job scammer.!

Went today with my daughter and disclosed interest in adopting upon entering I filled out a form and they showed us around. We spent most of our time with the kittens as we were mostly wanting a kitten. We absolutely fell in love with one and when I told the woman up front I was interested she asked if I had a cat at home (yes, as I wrote on the intake form) she then asked my cats age I said 10 she said the kitten had to go to a home with a younger cat…and went on to explain energy levels of kittens, which I understood I have had cats my whole life. I asked if they let any of the kittens go singularly and she said not to homes with no/older cats… if I would have known this earlier on I wouldn’t have spent so much time there and allow my daughter to bond/fall for the kitty. I emailed them after to ask them to reconsider but haven’t received a response.

Not only was Valley Cats taking wonderful care of their animals when we visited; but after adopting our kitten, Morph, it became even clearer just how amazing they are. Morph was instantly comfortable in our home, friendly with our other cat and dog, and cuddling with us. He lays every moment he can in my mom's arms and on her chest. I'm so happy to have adopted such an incredible, often hilarious, cat, but more so I'm so grateful to know Valley Cats is providing such wonderful care to animals in need. I've never seen such incredible work at any other rescue, and i wish that ALL could be like this one. If you're looking to adopt a cat of any age, this is the perfect place.

Upon entering the establishment, I was met by Peggy with an extremely cold welcome. After passing me along to another individual while making the assumption that a kitten isn't right for me without knowing anything about me or my history, I had a very pleasant experience with Ed. He was very informative, helpful, and kind. After viewing the cats, I returned to Peggy to discuss why they only adopt out kittens in pairs, only to be harshly answered and talked down to like a child. I would not recommend this shelter to anyone who wishes to be treated decently throughout the adoption process.

Adopted a cute 12 week kitten. Had looked at the humane society, camarillo animal shelter and a shelter in the valley. All had issues that make picking a kitten difficult. 15 min limit, can only hold not see them walk or play or having to sign up online between 9-10:30 for appt to look at cat. We walked into Valley Cats and were able to walk into area with the kittens and see them I interact, walk, use litter box, etc. No time limit, they answered all our questions. The adoption process was one form. The fee was $250 but the kitten already is chipped, fixed and had its first set of shots, etc. That fee is way cheaper than if I paid for these vet services. The staff is friendly and just want to find homes for these rescue kittens and cats. I totally recommend visiting here if you are looking for a kitten or cat. They do prefer you take two kittens (not sure it's required) if you have no other cat at home.

This place is fantastic. They do such a great job. Very clean. They always have amazing cats to adopt and it makes you feel good to give a cat that was tossed out like trash a second chance in life

I have visited numerous times, and I am now fostering for this wonderful organization, and the amazing human beings that care for these cats and kittens. If they deny someone or want a cat to be with other cats, or to only be alone as a pet, there is always a reason for this and that reason has the cats best interest. Their hearts lie in what is truly best for the animal. ?

I adopted two young cats in June of last year. Joslyn was the longest resident and her buddy Danny DeVito had been there over a year. Adopting them from Valley Cats was wonderful.Peggy, Elaine and all volunteers are amazing, dedicated and helpful. The cats are happy and a big part of our family. ValleyCats is a wonderful group!

I adopted my sweet baby from here and I love him so much. This place cares very much about the safety and well-being of their cats. Plus the fee is worth the cost since they include spay and neuter, chip, and vaccines. I love this place very much and definitely recommend it to those looking to adopt a new family member. ❤️

Initially I was very impressed with how dedicated Peggy & her volunteers were in creating a safe and loving environment for the cats they rescued. I had to release into Peggy's custody my beloved cat I adopted from her organization 5 years ago. Upon arrival I was horrified by the accusatorial tone in her voice over the recent vet visit in which I had accomplished everything she had requested. She was yelling at me and was very unprofessional. It was already traumatic to have to release my beloved pet into her care, I did not need to be mistreated by her and her staff. After she went through all the paperwork she realized I indeed did everything she requested. At that point she never offered an apology. I am very disappointed. I should have been treated with the utmost dignity and respect.

These cats are well taken care of from the amazing staff. There is a lot of care and thought in to each individual cat, and it is organized from kittens, cats, sick cats, healthy cats, and kittens/cats that get along with one another. The structure in Valley Cats is well-maintained.

Rude, judgmental and just unkind people. I said I am looking for a family cat, had my 2 year old with me, they said she’s too young to take care of a cat here’s a book so she can learn how to care for cats, bye, basically. Obviously the grown ups would take care of the cat. Also, the facility is small, crowded and not clean, which I assume is due to lack of donations from how they treat people. You have a right to deny people because you don’t like them, but why be disrespectful in doing so.
