It’s not the lab techs fault, but the entire UCLA health system is the worst in medicine in the US. Phlebs here were good at what they do - tests. But having to deal with the non working phone numbers, billing department, and being told consistently that everything is separate, is the most infuriating experience.

I’ve been using this lab for a few years and have always just gone in without an appt. I don’t think I’ve ever waited more than a few minutes to be seen. The phlebotomist have always been very pleasant too. Very professional and quick, exactly how I like blood draws to go!

Let's start with rude and technicians who seem to not really like their jobs or just don't care. On the screen as you wait it says to not be late because it causes problems for other. However, they make you wait with not remorse or apology. Kind of like a lot of doctor offices!! Heaven forbid you are late for an appointment but it's ok for them to make you wait....now for a 1/2 hour after my scheduled time. Stay away!

This is a very convenient location which I have used twice already since I live in Thousand Oaks. My first visit I came as a walk in. I was encouraged to use the online appointment system next time. Nevertheless I wasn't turned away which was very nice. The second time, with an appointment, I came for a blood test and a Covid swab test, The lab was pretty empty. I am thankful for this convenient location.

This UCLA Lab location has quickly and progressively become the WORST UCLA facility to go to...to say the people are rude is understated, they all have absolutely ridiculous egos. Even with an appointment the waite is long and they all act SO inconvenience d like they are doing you a favor by doing their jobs...and this from a lab, a place people are often a little uneasy about going to...to have a tight rubber band binding your arm for several minutes and a need stuck in your vein. After being mistreated (roughly, abruptly and rudely handled) I'll NEVER return here again.I'd rather wait for 40 mins at another location that doesn't take appointments OR GO QUEST.

I was in and out in 5 minutes (I made an appointment). The staff was friendly and talkative. Every patient there seemed really pleased.

For the amount of time I had to wait you would think this office is completely understaffed. However, there were 4 technicians not doing anything and 2 people at the front desk that were completely unfriendly. Not to mention a little rude. Not the techs but the front desk reps.I was asked to leave a urine sample in their wall cabinet and when I did found that there were at least 4 others in there as well that had not been collected. It made me question whether or not my results could be compromised by someone who just wants to be cruel. I asked if it was standard procedure to leave so many in there and the girl out front said yes it was but she would let the technician know so that they could be collected. I even told her it makes me question the integrity of leaving my sample there and she said no one would mess with it.Yeah right! We also thought no one would go around licking stuff on store shelves during a pandemic but... whatever!I've never had a problem there before but if the staff behaves similarly next time I go in, I will be sure to find another lab to go to.

Most unfriendly staff I’ve ever seen at UCLA health.Elena Barajas: front door clerk was incredibly rude. She made the process of trying to find my lab order very difficult and eventually turned me awayThere was also a tall darker man who stared at me and just told me to sit down. Was not pleased and now I’m headed to quest...

My brother needs to get his blood drawn once or twice a week ( transplant recipient) he must have his blood drawn before he takes him 8am meds, this is extremely important to reduce chances of rejection. Every time we come in 0645 with or without and appt they are the rudest people. Sometimes my brother forgets ( as they only allow 2 people to make an appt per hour) to make an appt and instead of squeezing us in as a "walk in" without ANYONE else there they still give us a time that's about an hour out. We will literally be sitting there for 45mi while they sit empty!!!! They will sit empty with a hallway full of walk ins while they wait for their schedule appts to come in which I believe is 4/6 an hour. It only takes 2 min to draw his blood!!!! I am absolutely at my wits end with this place! Something must be done with how they operate! This is extremely poor patient care and just human care. I would like to go as far as I can with this complaint until this changes. Btw it's been 8 weeks of this and I believe at this point there really needs to have UCLA get involved and clean house there.

There is always a long line and the employees are rude. I am 6 months pregnant and had to come in for a 3 hour glucose test that required me to fast. They made me wait in a 30 minute line before they would even give me the glucose drink.
