4637 Lakeview Canyon Rd, Westlake VillageIt’s can be challenging to find a good, reliable, professional groomer when traveling from out of town but I was fortunate to find Fur-Ever Grooming located near our summer rental. Paige gave my 5 month old labradoodle her first puppy trim and was super gentle with her - as she was my 10 and a half year old girl who tends to get nervous. Both dogs looked great after their respective groomings and most importantly I knew they were in capable hands.

Not only is the place squeaky clean and looks out of a canine vogue magazine with treats , little outfits and doggie treats but it’s the way she respects the dogs and loves her job.
It totally shows!
Our dog loooooves her and her salon because of the attention ( she never rushes but takes her time ) and of course those cool doggie treats she always gives him.
If you want a dog spa that won’t stress your pup , takes its time to trim nails, brush and trim in a leisurely fashion and pamper them to the kilts this place is THE PLACE to go.

Anza Animal Clinic
3575 Thousand Oaks Blvd, Westlake VillageDr. Anderson and his staff are fantastic. I had a very sick Sulcata Tortoise. I called approximately 20+ veterinarians trying to get an immediate appointment but was unable to for at least 5 days out. I was very afraid my tortoise wouldn’t make it. Then I found Anza Animal Clinic. They were able to get him in very quickly. Needless to say my tortoise is on the road to recovery thanks to Dr. Anderson and his staff.
Dr. Anderson and his staff are kind, empathetic and truly amazing. I’ve seen/met many veterinarians over the years, but Dr. Anderson is by far # 1 with me. I highly recommend Anza Animal Clinic.

Matan Dog Training
742 Hampshire Rd a, Westlake VillageI am extremely happy with the training at Matan and have recommended Matan Dog Training to many people. I currently attend the group classes with Amelia ongoing. She is a fantastic and experienced trainer and each class is different, challenging the dogs and owners with different exercises and scenarios. I was also able to work with owner Matan in a few classes. It is clear that he not only loves dogs but he has extensive knowledge regarding their behavior and their training.
I have a working line German Shepherd who was a MAJOR handful. She used to bark and growl at all dogs and walking her was a huge chore. She was extremely reactive. She will always be a reactive natured dog who does not like to be around other dogs, but by attending the group classes she has learned that it is ok to be around dogs, and that she needs to be obedient and appropriate even when she is feeling uncomfortable. This training keeps her on track so that now she can be walked on the street with no or minimal reaction to other dogs. Most of the time she just looks at them now and checks back in with me. It’s really great. Such an improvement.
Additionally, being of working lineage, she always wants something to do. She actually loves the training and can’t wait to go to class. She happily jumps into the car when I say “ do you want to go to work?”. Her heeling, sit stay, down stay and come are all very good from the ongoing work we have done at Matan.
The classes are fantastic and it’s great working with Amelia. I would highly recommend getting your dog assessed and joining us in the groups!

She is so great with my 11 month old puppy and I was amazed at how well she trained him and also myself! She is so patient and pleasant to work with! Once I met her I knew my pup was in great hands! Thank you Amber and we look forward to seeing you again! I appreciate your being so kind and patient with Bentley!

982 S Westlake Blvd #2, Westlake VillageStopped by Finney's in Westlake Village for lunch after a nice walk at the lake. We were seated at a nice table for two at the outside patio. Dakota was our amazing server with a personality that lights up a room. Excellent service assisted by another wonderful individual, Katrina, who also had a positive and pleasant outlook. Both were total professionals and provided stellar customer service. We started with drinks of iced tea anf water and then ordered our entrees. My wife had the southwest chicken bowl and I had the chicken quesadilla and both were delicious. We also decided to take their BBQ chicken pizza home for dinner as they looked amazing every time one went by our table. So enticing..yummy!

2799 Townsgate Rd, Westlake VillageWe like Brent's.\n\nMy wife and I live near San Luis Obispo and stop at Brent's every time we visit family in Los Angeles - for lunch on the way down and breakfast heading back up...plus a big to-go package for dinner and stuff for friends.\n\nOn the way home after Thanksgiving, we stopped, as usual, for breakfast and gave a takeout order to our server, "Shelby S", who was very helpful and friendly.\n\nOur bill for breakfast was $75.70 while the to-go portion was $123.70 for a total of $199.40.\n\nAt home, I checked the receipt because the cost for our takeout food seemed high. Sure enough, one of our sliced rye breads was listed at $19.73 and the 2nd was $21.00. A total of $40.73. Our relatives back in Brooklyn - big fans of Juniors - laughed in their graves!\n\nI called Brent's, spoke to a nice young woman (a cashier?) and explained the situation. She said "a loaf of rye bread is usually $7-9. Let me get a manager". A guy came on, said "hello, this is Hyman" and I told him what happened.\n\nWithin 20 seconds, Hyman got huffy and said "listen. You're not going to understand this, but we weigh everything. If 2 loaves came out to $41, that's how it is".\n\nI replied "that's insane". Hyman calmed down and offered me a "free dinner". When I said we're not down the block and only go to LA twice a year, he said "no matter. I'm always here. I married the owner's granddaughter. Just ask for Hyman". I was tired from driving for hours and said "fine".\n\nWe still like Brent's, but the label on the attached photo clearly shows a mistake. A food scale at home showed 1.2 pounds which at $6.50 per pound means it should have been $7.80.....not $19.73.\n\nDid wrong labels cause overcharges for many other customers?\n\nUPDATE: Taylor and Shay from Brent's got in touch with me right away to make things right. I remarked "if I spoke like Hyman to a customer, I'd be sentenced to 40 years wandering in the desert". But Taylor and Shay did an outstanding job! Almost biblical!

The food is very healthy and clean and can be modified for all dietary restrictions including vegan and gluten free. The enchilada special was a little mushy but still had a good flavor. They're veggie burgers are great here. Also the Southwest salad. Parking is hard to find. Staff is friendly

And we need her and her organization to continue. Right now she is working with an all volunteer crew. Hope she gets the funds to hire some permanent workers.
