Worked with them for a few years and had overall great service until one employee left. Now being charged for 2attempted delivery attempts at customers location $160, receiver states carrier never called, I call the carrier and they state no delivery extra charge was ever filed for this shipment but PAF just debit our C.C on file with them.....you would think 2+yrs of good transactions out weighs the one odd ball issue. Manager won't do anything to rectify the issue or even reach out to the carrier to fight the so claimed charge. That is the reason for my review.

Sechduled PAF to pick a load for us but, before hand had cancelled one for a different carrier. Which the cancelled carrier had pick up. Chelsee from PAF was able to find the load and send me a tracking number since it was a time sensitive load. During that time Chelsee kept me informed.

I have used this company a few times in the past, and generally the price and service has been OK. The only beef I have with them is that they give no indication of delivery time, and worse, if they are not going to deliver on the promised day, they make no effort to let me know. This happened on my latest shipment, we were position #6 for delivery and tracking said it would be delivered that day. I waited 2 hours past our warehouse closing time as Jeremy had told me it would be there shortly. No delivery. Next day, we were #8 on the schedule. Why we were not #1 is a mystery, simply in the interests of customer service. So the goods did arrive by end of day, but no apology or response from Jeremy. A major concern was that the goods were no doubt left on the truck overnight, and then I began worrying that perhaps the freight price did not include insurance as I had not been asked for the value. So overall not the best experience.

Had a last minute shipment that needed to be transported cross country. I received the best rate from Pacific and signed the agreement. From the start my communication with Jeremy was great. He explained the terms and we moved forward. The shipment was picked up and made it to California earlier than expected. We hit a snafu when we learned that the company we were shipping had strict requirements for delivery. Pacific worked with us and stayed on top of the situation. They even requested that the freight company hold off on storage fees due to the trouble we were having with the receiving company authorizing our delivery. Our shipment was finally delivered and the expected fee was charged to our card. Please note I weighed each individual box in my shipment plus weighed the pallets and then rounded up. I did not take a guess on weight as I wanted to be provided with an accurate quote. I am overall happy with service and will use again.

I hired Pacific Atlantic Freight too transport two Sheet Lifters that I purchased from The Caldwell Group out of Rockford, Illinois, I sold these units too a Steel Company out of Los Angeles. The bill of lading #PAF7090, they hired Double D Express to pick up the Sheet Lifters from Caldwell Group. (Double D Express moves a lot of freight from Caldwell which they are familiar with the products that Caldwell makes, they never charged as class 150 it has always been 77.5 for sheet lifters.) I guess Double D Express gave it to Clear Lane Consolidator to transport the lifters to California. At the terminal in California they gave the freight to Total Transportation & Dist, Inc. to deliver to my customer. On 1/20/2015 I received an email with a bill for $1,127.23 for two services that I did not approve. They stated on the bill that they are charging me an extra $145.00 for an attempt to deliver the equipment to Reliance Steel when they were closed. Reliance Steel is a large company and if someone would have called prior to driving to their plant they would have told them that they were going to be closed, if no one called to see if they were going to be open why is that my fault that they had to make a second delivery. Than when they made the second delivery they told my customer they would be there between 8:00 am to 12:00 am and arrived at 6:00 pm, I had to call Pacific Atlantic Freight to find this out where and when they will be delivered so that my customer could stay over and receive the shipment. On the same email they said the class of the freight was not correct, they stated it should have been 150 and charged my credit card $982.23, the freight class that I gave Jeremy who is the salesmen for Pacific Atlantic Freight was class 77 given to me by the manufacturer of the equipment that I am shipping. I was informed by Pacific Atlantic Freight that I have to get a spec sheet from the manufacturer. I again contacted the manufacturer and asked for a spec sheet, my inside sales rep told me that these units are specials and do not have standard spec sheets. I contacted Greg at Pacific Atlantic Freight and told him what Caldwell replied and again he said that will not work. So I contacted Caldwell and asked to prepare an email so I can send it to Greg at Pacific Atlantic Freight. Joan inside sales from Caldwell stated there Sheet Lifters always shipped class 77.5. They have used many carriers that have agreed with this classification. Fedx Freight, UPS Freight, Old Dominion, R & L, Conway, Estes and the list goes on. They do not understand why the freight carrier for bill of lading #PAF 7090, Pacific Atlantic Freight is trying to charge higher. The carrier that picked up the order, Double D Express, is very familiar with their products and has also transported Sheet Lifters in the past for them at class 77.5. They also said that Pacific Atlantic Freight and Clear Lane Consolidator, bill of lading #PAF7090, seems to be trying to gouge my company with a rating class 150. I emailed this to Greg at Pacific Atlantic Freight and he said that they use these same carriers as well and with these dimensions found they would charge the same increased class. Greg from Pacific Atlantic Freight said all they are hearing my supplier is other carrier, he stated that they have no idea what was shipped in the past with these carriers and the class that was used. With that said, this is simple, all they need is proof of the dimensions of the product shipped on this order to reverse their findings. So I contacted Caldwell again and asked for drawings, they told me that they normally do not send out drawing but because of this problem they would bend the rules. I sent the drawings to Greg with actual dimensions on them and he said unfortunately a drawing will not work, he said it could be a drawing of something else. He said where does it show relation to what was shipped, you can see the purchase order enclosed and the drawing have the same model number. I told Greg that the drawings that I sent him are the same

Beware!! I am currently in dispute with this company, long story short I already paid for the shipment and it was delivered, but they charged my credit card an additional $300 due to their saying I used the wrong freight class. I asked their rep what freight class to use, at the time explaining I was new to shipping freight. The class I used was given to me by that Pacific Atlantic Freight Rep, and I have all the emails to show that yet they insist on trying to charge me saying that I am responsible because I used the wrong fright class. They keep saying I signed saying that they could charge me additional fees if I gave inaccurate information but I did not give inaccurate info, they gave me inaccurate info!! They have no business just charging me more like that. I sent several successful shipments with them (all using the same freight class by the way) previous to this issue so I was a good customer to them but they do not care. I have used different companies since then with no issues - stay away from PAF they are a horrible business.

Please be aware to sign on any paper from this ripoff company. Especially to give them your credit card. Use only checks. We used Pacific Freight to ship show material from Orlando to Vegas. They quoted us the best rate with weight of 300lb. So far things were looking good. However on the way back they failed to pick up the shipment from the show and picked it up a week later which accrued extra charges from the show for warehousing. Then they failed to deliver the shipment for a whole month. After several calls and email they finally opened investigation and sure enough after that the shipment arrived, shrink wrap as nothing happened. We opened the shipment and were shocked to see our product damaged and sign broke. It was as if the product was dragged on the floor and smashed. We figured that somebody at the freight company found the shipment somewhere put it together and shipped it to us as nothing happened. We tried to file a claim but they said nothing is true as we signed on the delivery bill that everything is ok. Of course we signed on the shipment as from outside the world looked normal. Two weeks later we received an email with additional charge of $562 for extra weight. The email said that we signed that if the carrier weigh the shipment and find it incorrect then they have the rights to charge extra. Ok... But we shipped 300lb and they came back with 642lb. That's a major different and they already charged the card. Totally ripoff. Please be aware of who you deal with especially shipping company!

Consigned shipment to P.A.F. as third party. Dropped shipment at R&L Freight terminal with provided bill of lading. Freight delivered to destination terminal and picked up by my customer. After my customer had the freight loaded and was about to depart (conveniently off of the dock where the scales are located), dock personnel mentioned that the weight on the BOL was incorrect. I (the shipper) was never notified until PAF sent me a notice that they had already charged my credit card AN EXTRA $790.63 for a change in weight. No one at the freight terminals ever called regarding this matter nor was there a mention of this before the item left anywhere that there were scales to conveniently weigh and verify the weight. PAF provided a "weight certification" stating that my item consigned at 1200lbs actually weighed 3000lbs. Funny that the signatures on that certificate were both by the same person at the freight terminal. Contesting this now...PAF less than helpful.
