I could not ask for a better, more thoughtful, more insightful, more generous group of trainers for me and our dog! But mostly they trained me, which I needed badly.We worked with outstanding Emily, but I saw all the trainers doing exceptional work. Jennifer runs a great business. Our dog is the best heal walker and place stayer we have ever had. Thank you!!

Our trainer Justin was thorough and patient with both us and our dog. He explained things clearly and we saw results with our dog immediately. It’s been a great experience and I’d definitely recommend!

Amber is outstanding. Me and my year old standard poodle were a complete mess. After 6 sessions both my poodle and I are more confident and much happier. We can heal, sit, settle, stay and place. Still blows me away! Without this help I would have never put things together - I am happy and so is my pup!

We had a truly exceptional experience with the three week program. Before we began, I dreaded walks with our 10 month old shepherd because of his pulling and reactivity. After three weeks with Justin, our dog Beau is heeling (not pulling!) and has made huge progress in his ability to see other dogs in public without losing his cool.Justin has fundamentally and compassionately taught us how to be dog parents — he really takes the time to explain the training concepts both from the dog’s perspective and in terms of what we should be thinking and doing as people. He offers various techniques and levels of correction so that we feel prepared for any circumstance we might encounter. Justin trained and then modeled for us how to patiently redirect and de-escalate a hyper, barking puppy into a place where our pup is calmly lying on the grass watching another dog go by. (This was impossible before.) This is of course in addition to all the other skills the dogs learn!We couldn’t give a higher recommendation for Justin and the whole team at LA School for Dogs. Now it’s up to us to maintain the high standards they’ve instilled in our Beau! Thank you so much, Justin!!!

Emily and the LA School for dogs are fantastic. The training of our 2 year old Pumpkin went so fast and was well worth it. Emily understands dog psychology and explains things to us in a positive and easy to understand way. Her upbeat and energetic personality carries over to both the owners as well as to the dogs. Our dog has learned so much in a short period. Can’t say enough good things about Emily and the LA School for Dogs

I brought my 6 month old Bernese Mountain Dog in for training with Amber. She is a FANTASTIC trainer!!! I needed a facility that was able to train both my dog...and me! Amber is so good with explaining how to maintain the training at home...and she was soooo good with my puppy! He LOVED going to training every day!!! I highly recommend Amber (or any of the trainers) at L.A. School for Dogs!!!

My 8 month old puppy recently graduated from the 3 week program and I cannot even tell you the difference it has made for not only my puppy, but for me. Amber was her trainer and I cannot thank her enough. I started to see positive behavior changes during the first week. On walks, my mini bernedoodle always wanted to jump towards people and other animals while pulling me down the street. This breed of dog is known to be anxious and I tried everything I could before enrolling her in the program. I guess I just couldn’t “speak dog” well enough because after my puppy graduated from the 3 week program she could heel, sit, stay, go to place, and come when called. The 3 week program really helped my puppy’s anxiety - she now knows what to do in those stressful situations. At my initial consultation, I could immediately tell Amber really understood the psychology of a dog. My puppy could barely contain her excitement to see Amber every morning.While some may think the program is a tad expensive, I could not have gotten results as quickly as I did anywhere else. You could do private hour sessions at another dog training facility, but in reality it will cost you the same overtime and take much longer - especially if you are inconsistent.What’s also great about the their 3 week program is that my puppy was not trained in a warehouse setting like most places. She was taken to public settings and learned in a real environment with all of the distractions.You will have to practice with your dog outside of school hours, but the beauty of it is that your trainer will lay out all of the groundwork for you during your 1on1 sessions. Your dog will know what to do, you just have to learn how to communicate with your dog.All that being said, I HIGHLY recommend LASFD - especially the 3 week program. I am sure all of the trainers are spectacular, but a special shout out to Amber for her work with Zuma ❤️

We highly recommend L A School for Dogs based on our 3 week training experience with Amber as our trainer. (Ours meaning my husband, myself and , of course, our dog Larry). We needed training as much as he did. Amber was such a patient guide and teacher giving gentle yet firm correction and instruction throughout our entire experience. She is thoughtful, intuitive, knowledgeable and thoroughly professional. She truly cares about shaping your pup into being the best dog they can be. Thank you so very much!

Emily was a star. Our little Boston has a lot of energy and uncontained excitement, and she managed to keep him calm and help him channel all of his craziness. She accommodated all our needs beyond belief and we couldn’t be more happy with her and all the staff at LA school for dogs. Thanks for helping Bowie be his best self!!

Emily is one of the best trainers there is. She's extremely patient and very helpful with everything. She even went out of her way to help us with stuff outside of training that she didn't have to do. She is also one of the nicest people I've ever met! Extremely good results from her and we are now way more confident with our dog!

Nothing better than life with a dog... except life with a dog that now listens like a Marine !Our completely unruly 10 month old, 80 lb Golden Retriever was noticeably better after Day-1. By the end of the 3-Week program he became so much the dog we hoped for. LA School for Dogs and Jennifer are so professional, and apparently dog whisperers.

I brought my 2 yr old German Sheppard and Belgian Malinois to the wonderful staff at LA School for Dogs. My Sheppard badly needed their three week all day training program, while my Malinois just needed a refresher course. Their highly skilled trainer, Amber, completely transformed my uncontrollable Sheppard, into an obedient Sheppard who heals at my side (on a loose leash I might add) and she fined tuned my Malinois in their lighter, once a week training program. I couldn't be happier with our trainer Amber and our magnificent well trained dogs she helped create.

I can't say enough great things about this dog training program. My 7 month old mature golden doodle learned so much as did my husband and I. Jenn also trained my son's white lab 6 years ago and for a big dog he is a dream to be around! If you have a dog you owe it to yourself to have it properly trained! Emily and Jenn are terrific!!!
