The store manager was helpful and searched for something I couldn't find. Then he advised me when to expect it. Next, I was looking for a white wine gift, and the man working in that department kindly looked at my final choices and recommended one to me. After this, the same man called over the woman who manages the cheese department to guide me in choosing a cheese for a gift basket. When I was checking out, the cashier was very friendly, and the young man bagging groceries was so happy, then he and another man started singing songs from Les Misérables! What an enjoyable experience from start to finish. I left smiling and happy. Gelsons fan forever!

Somehow Gelson's in WLV really upped their game. They stock many more "healthy" items, as well as the deli featuring more olive and less canola oil in their offerings. They also increased their organic produce! Wifey complains that they don't have yogurt from 100% grass fed cows, so there is obviously room for improvement. But she loves their branded still water, which they ran out of because she bought over 50 bottles! Will be back for more...

The produce and bakery are top quality. The meat department is the only place I buy meat. The staff is friendly, helpful and polite.

My experience has been amazing when I go shop at Westlake Village Gelson’s. Their Deli, Bakery And Produce Department is second to none. Amazing Customer Service by Produce Clerk Lazaro. Thank you Gelsons.

Is it just me that totally feels Gelsons has totally went down here. I mean the roof in the prepared food/wine/bar still isn't fixed. I for one thought that was totally fix after a couple of yrs ago. In which they are still more expensive side of things. As opposed to Vons, Ralph's, Sprouts, Lassens, Amazon Fresh. Technically the quality is still good with prepared sandwiches from the deli case.

The deli sandwiches really suck now .. and the salad bar is 6/10 bummed used to be my favorite place.

No scale near the salad bar area so I may measure the weight of my meal...I have to walk the entire store to produce to weigh or wait for the Deli crew to be available to do it (They are very accommodating but wait time varies)
