Situated just several miles west of the California capital across the Sacramento River. This family oriented hotel has superior rooms by design and functionality. There are plenty of storage areas for people enjoying long stays. The kitchen provides a dishwasher, a microwave, and decent refrigerator dishes for six. The rooms come in different configurations. Depending on whether there is a single or multiple bed configuration. The lobby serves as a meet-up place as well as the dining area for daily breakfast. Hot coffee and tea are served along with breakfast cereals, waffles, bagles, juices, and milk.Rooms: Very spacious eight to ten large storage cabinets and drawers. Large hanging closet. Full-length wardrobe mirror. Blackout curtains.

This place is very quiet, clean, and people arrive very nice. Parking lot is a descent size but I was not able to find parking late night. I still decided to give 5 stars since parking lot size is beyond the hotel’s control.Nearby activities: SAFE Convention Center.

Considering it’s a Hilton brand this hotel really felt cheap and the breakfast was absolutely terrible.

The hotel was fine. I had ants in my room. The toilet paper roll was broken upon entry. Also there was no soap in the showers only shampoo and conditioner. During breakfast, the toaster didn't work. The hotel is between many motels/inns. There were a lot of homeless people around the hotel, sleeping against the walls and coming in to grab a glass of water.

Staff were genuinely attentive and pleasant. They rocked. My room (basic queen, 4th floor) was immaculate, minus some faulty power outlets (there were a lot of outlets to make up for it, but definitely check if your device is actually charging)~10 minutes from the Capitol, bowling alley is walking distance

Charged my card twice and didn't refund it. Check your bank after payment.

Showed up at 10pm, my room wasn't ready. Guy at front desk was combative and not worthy of Hilton. Likely will drop my gold due to this. I had a 2 year old child with me. Done with this chain after this.

The thing I like about the Hilton app is that one can choose the floor and room location from a floor diagram. The fact that I did not get my digital key even at 9PM as I pulled up to the parking lot was a sign of problems to come.Turned out that my room had not been through the final check and not available. Additionally, none of the 6 rooms on the top floor that were open when I made the reservation were gone by the time I checked in and first heard of the problem. As expected, the person above me which I wanted to avoid was a bit heavy footed, and was waken by the room being made up early in the morning. Such a simple thing would have made the stay a lot better. The room was clean, spacious and well equipped for cooking, though a do not disturb sign and cooking range were strangely absent.2 out of 3 of the pillow cases had stains on them, one with.a faint smell of B.O. Found the sliding bathroom door a bit of a hazard as there were no rails to prevent it being pushed out, and lack of a door stop created a pinch hazard at the door handle. Side table on both sides of the sofa would have been nice, but appreciated the office table and dining table. Free breakfast was nice, especially the sausage biscuits, though I missed eggs. Coffee in the lobby was greatly appreciated.Checking out was greeted to an unexplained $10 a day parking fee and misc taxes which lessened the perceived value of the nightly rate. This was not in an area where a parking fee was appropriate.Additionally, the Hilton is not the only one doing this, but having to go back to your car to put a parking pass is not acceptable, especially in the rain, after a long drive at 9PM. It is also a marker for thieves targeting cars of tourists if left out while sightseeing, and easily forgotten when returning to the hotel and a piece of garbage the customer has to remember to throw out.Location was nice, away from downtown and tourist attractions so did not experience a lot of traffic on the weekend, yet what I wanted to see and stores like Target were only minutes away.

I really enjoy this hotel for its cleanliness, proximity to golden1 and cost. The area can appear mid shady but in actuality they have parking lot security and I've never had a problem ever. Staff is very kind and professional. Rooms are very spacious. Free breakfast too? Say less.

Great location of proximity to downtown and the highways to be able to get where you need to go. Home to suites is a staple.

Well it is my fault for accidentally booking the wrong hotel for a sudden funeral I needed to attend. Thought I booked the one in Rocklin, but apparently accidentally booked this one in west Sacramento. Purchased it non refundable and didn't see the mistake until I got to Rocklin Home 2 suites. Anyways, it is well within their right to keep the entire non refundable amount per the terms and conditions. I let them know as soon as we realized the mistake so they could rent out the room to someone else.Still giving this a rating 1 star for the zero value I got from the property for the multinight stay. Yes, it was my fault for booking the wrong thing in a rush. For $500, I think though I at least deserve the right to rate it 1 star after discussions with them about the situation. They understood the situation and are more than welcome to exercise the terms as I accepted with a non refundable stay. No grace was given for the later nights in the stay. It was my fault for clicking the wrong one when hastily making travel arrangements. I was just hoping there would be some level of help given a multinight stay since I at least gave them a heads up to help them out, but they understandably stuck to their policy. They could have just been a little nicer about it. Basically said I paid for non refundable and tough luck - not even any sympathy and then a decline, which is fine. Since I had to pay for the stay though - might as well rate what utility i got out of it.

There was rolled weed left in my freezer inside the refrigerator., I'm a non smoker, and hate that smell, so I couldn't find the smell until, I checked the freezer, and there it was, so I did change rooms. The manager's are not helpful especially Sarah (well that's the name she gave me). The other staff is way more helpful. They don't seem to care if you are a Diamond Member. I will never return to this location after being there consecutively over 30 days in a row, yet my taxes still not being waived.Safety: Well, they will have a lot street walkers up and down the street, however my car was never broken in or vandalized.
