“I like to support mom & pop owned stores. I'm not sure about the mom & pop owned part but, this is NOT part of a chain. I could actually spend hours inside this little gem of a hardware store. They have a little of everything and of course, all of the stuff one goes to a hardware store for which I call "grown up stuff" (nails, screws, paint brushes, THAT kinda stuff). The man that helped me was great, he was knowledgeable and helpful but, left me alone so that, I could wander the aisles and buy stuff I didn't even know I needed but, now can't live without. Also love they are local right on Washington Blvd. and have been in business for years. “DUNN-EDWARDS PAINTS in Encino is easy to find and easy to get into. They have their own free parking lot with plenty of available spaces.The people are friendly and helpful, but did not hover. I was able to take my time choosing the right shade of "white". Boring, I know, but I was surprised by how many there are.I was able to narrow down my choices and take home the card samplers to show my contractor, who was then able to get small samples for testing.Very convenient. My project is done and I am very happy with the way the color turned out.Now that it's time for another painting project...”

“I just had the best experience at this store thanks to Edward.I wanted to paint my entire apartment for the first time, but had no idea what was the best store to buy paints. I was trying to choose between Ace Hardware, Home Depot and Lowes, when a friend of mine recommended Dunn Edwards and I'm so glad he did because I couldn't be any happier with the color and sheens I selected. My apartment looks amazing!But none of it would have been possible without the help of Edward, the first person to greet me when I entered the store. Edward was totally kind, friendly, funny and took his time to help me decide on my colors, sheens and quality of paint.I needed to go into the store 3 times so I could pick up various color samples to tape to my cabinets and walls so I could ensure I chose all the right colors before actually buying my paints. And each time I went, Edward was equally kind, friendly and helpful. “I've probably been coming to this store for close to a decade if not longer. This is THE spot to go to when you're looking for just that odd piece of hardware. As far as I know it, the store would buy surplus from the various govt contract shops and companies around the area so you can find all sorts of weird and interesting stuff here. This is where I come when I need that odd bolt, o-ring or anything that the generic palces don't have. I was looking for an odd o-ring size for an air compressor for my truck. The company that makes it wouldn't sell me one. Sure enough Luky had plenty to go through and I found THE ONE that fit better than original. Prices will always be better than anywhere else. This should always be your first stop for any hardware need.”
